I am definitely glad I came to learn my basics here. I live in Houston and coming back to my…read moreregular gym just wasn't as fun or intense. I went to the 24hrfitness right by my house and did my normal routine and it was so lame! I didn't have any cool people to talk to... my routine seemed insanely boring and since I've gotten much stronger post CrossFit... the routine seemed so easy. I miss being challenged by the WOD's they created. I am going to check out some CrossFit gyms around Houston so I can keep up with my workouts but they're all much more expensive and restrict the amount of days I get to go. The cheapest option I have found is ~140 with a minimum of 3 months only two times a week. LAME! I wish I could go back to CrossFit Houma.. :(

Working with Bryan and his staff has really improved my lifting technique. When I first met Bryan,…read moreI explained to him that I really did not know much about lifting, having never been in any type of sport. He patiently showed me step by step exactly how to improve each lift. It took a few months but I began to see gains pretty quickly. Even though I know I need to improve much I have never felt more confident about lifting weight in the gym. I have also continuously hit new personal milestones over the past six months. I have also benefited from advice about how to tweak my diet from both Junco and Bryan. I have really enjoyed working out at Houma Cross Fit. It seems that every time I go I learn something new. My new favorite is what I call the Houma Iditarod. It's pretty entertaining to watch! If you want to work out in a positive environment I would give Cross Fit Houma a try

She is incredibly motivating, fun to talk to, and will absolutely push you to your limits! After a tough class, it's the perfect environment to unwind. The space is beautifully designed--very aesthetic, cozy, and inviting. Whether you want to get some work done at the cafe (which has a great selection of coffee, food, and drinks) or focus on recovery, they have you covered. They offer excellent sauna and cold plunge packages, plus day passes for the pool. It's a top-tier spot to sweat, recover, and relax.

The instructors are grounded, intentional, and so welcoming - Special shoutout to Ashley and Mark! Whether you're sweating it out or finding stillness, there's a sense of peace and presence that fills the space. The studio itself is stunning -- clean, calming, and designed with such care that just walking in makes you feel better. The energy is warm and inclusive, and the community vibe is real. Everyone I've met has been so kind and open. If you're looking for a place to reset, recharge, or just breathe deeper, Spyre is it. I'm officially obsessed. PS: Not sure why my location is showing as San Diego, but I am a New Orleans local and feel so lucky to have this spot in my backyard.
