Came back for the actual service which was really great for when you are seeing someone new. I really liked the stylist and vibed with her. However, the quotes were a bit different from expected but especially the bizarre custom and not verbalized expectations about tipping different people and not paying the stylists directly. The older front desk lady was quite rude and loud about it- very brusque. I didn't want to make it more overwhelming as it already was with the confusing situation. However, I'd like to request management to ensure front desk staff be trained with friendly customer service for paying clients especially if they aren't aware of your custom. I'd like to continue seeing the person I saw next time around but I wouldn't come on the day the old rude lady is there.

I booked here being from the area and no longer wishing to drive to my stylist who moved to PA…read more Initial impression was walking in and having 2 stylists stare at me with no "hello" "welcome" or anything. Just staring until one finally said "someone will be with you". My stylist herself was fine, but didn't ask for inspiration pictures or ask many questions. I booked a partial highlight no cut because Im used to a highlight and cut being 2-3 hours at my former salon due to my thick, fine hair. Imagine my surprise when I am rushed through and my highlight, processing, washing, drying and curling all in 1 hour and 15 minutes. It felt like the Jiffy Lube of salon service and definitely did not resemble good customer service or hospitality. I left feeling like I was an inconvenience to them. Overall I was not wow'd by my result, but the price point was solid. I waited to post this experience which was in May, because I tried a new salon after, to see if maybe I was overreacting to my rushed experience at Bombshell. I was not. My experience at another local salon was about 3 hours for all parts of a partial highlight and a quick dead end trim. My stylist there was brand new to me but took time to hear my wants and to make sure I left satisfied. So having compared to my before and after, I cannot say I would return to Bombshell or recommend to anyone.

Went in for a color and a cut. I really wanted a color change I have black hair and I was thinking…read morepurple. It was clear the stylist didn't want to do it and we settled on a dark brown to cover the gray. I'm glad we didn't do a more complex color because she couldn't get this simple color down. My hair still had sections of gray I could've done a better job. Then the blowout no heat protectant was used and my hair was flat ironed and then curled with this skinny iron giving me these super tight church curls then the only product used was a hairspray that made my hair crunchy. My newly trimmed ends felt dry and brittle. I washed my hair at home the same day only to find my hair was uneven from the trim. I was charged $85 she didn't charge me for the color. A few days later I noticed my account was charged twice.

Franchon Parlour is the definition of excellence! Jacinta has been styling my hair for over 8 year…read more I'm very particular about who does my hair as all hairstylists are not created equal. Not only is Jacinta a phenomenal stylist, she does her job with care for clients. I live in DC and I drive the distance to the salon because my hair is that important to me and Franchon Parlour/Jacinta, is just that good. My hair is natural and Jacinta does a great job of keeping my hair healthy and growing. Whether I get a weave with color or a press and curl, I'm never disappointed. Jacinta's natural ability to connect with her clients while you're in her chair is another reason why I continue to go back. Tarah is the other stylist in the salon and though she has never done my hair, she is always warm, professional and pleasant. I've watched Tarah style some of her clients and like Jacinta, attention to detail of the hair is a given. Long review short, if you're looking for a stylist that provides you consistent quality and and healthy hairstyles, this is where it's at. Check out Franchon Parlour!

Visit date: October 4, 2026 *First time visit…read more Background: My previous hairstylist has significantly reduced the amount of clients she sees since having a baby. This made booking rather difficult. Therefore, I haven't seen her in a while. Since then, I've either done my own hair or went to a braider. I haven't had my hair braided in many years so I forgot how damaging it can be to your hair. After I took the braids out, I told my self I would start searching for a new hair salon to call home. I've been searching for a few days now and came across Eliz Hair Salon. What drew me to this hair salon was the reviews from women raving about how their hair has been getting healthier and the results were exceptional. Also, the price was reasonable--so I thought I'd give this place a try. My hair: I have very thick, low-porosity hair with varying hair types. It's damaged from braids I got recently and dries out easily. Moisture and conditioning are priorities! Communication: My first line of communication with this salon was when I called today to see what time they took their last client. Although their hours are listed on Google and Yelp, I still wanted to confirm. When I called someone answered and when I asked the time they stop seeing clients, they told me 2:00pm. It was about 1:30pm when I called so I left out as soon as I could. First impression: I made it to the shop about 5-10 minutes after 2pm. To be honest, I wasn't sure if they were going to be petty that I didn't make it to their door by 2pm. When I went inside, they were quite welcoming. They greeted me and had me sign in. I told them I wanted a blow dry and I was guided to the shampoo bowl. They were friendly and service was immediate. Experience: As we approached the shampoo bowl, I asked if I could get a deep condition. As stated before, my hair was dry and damaged. I also had recently removed braids so my hair was also tangled. The lady who washed my hair was so thorough. She washed and conditioned my hair very well. She also massaged my scalp very well. Since I got a deep condition, I say under the dryer for a little while. Then Sukie detangled and rinsed my hair out. She then guided me to a styling chair, moisturized my hair and started blow drying. Throughout the process, she asked me if I was comfortable and if the temperature was ok. I'm very tolerant of hair styling so honestly the process was a lot more gentle than I expected it to be. Past stylists tend to use high heat and can be a little rough getting tangles out. Sukie did a phenomenal job not causing any discomfort or pain. To be honest, I was skeptical of the results because the process was so comfortable. I even started meditating and she thought I was asleep. After the blow-dry, she straightened my hair with a flat iron. When she was a finished, she offered to pin my hair up, since it was drizzling outside. I agreed and then I paid. I never asked about pricing because I already did my due diligence of checking pricing through reviews, their social media posts, etc. So I already knew what I should EXPECT to pay but I wanted to see if they were going to be honest or overcharge me. They charged me exactly what I expected. Final thoughts: I asked if she does children's hair, as well. She said she does. I wasn't just looking for a stylist for myself. I was looking for a stylist for my child, too--but before I allow any stylist to touch my child's hair, I have to test how they treat my hair first. I feel confident enough to say Sukie will be me and my child's new stylist. I'll be recommending her to my friend who's also looking for a new stylist, too. I found my new hair salon! :)

Sadly, my experience with this salon was the worst I have ever had with a professional salon for…read moremany reasons. I went to Sheria for hair regrowth after wearing wigs and losing my hair. Sheria was very knowledgeable and I was pleasantly surprised to see my hair begin to regrow so quickly. I was not expecting to see results for about six months and I saw progress much sooner than I expected (please remember hair restoration still takes time and it is important to not expect miracles). Sheria never sent me pictures full pictures that she took during my initial consultation. She only sent me pics of a problem area/scalp condition so I could show my dermatologist, but never pics of my full scalp. I asked for these pics so I could document my journey. Whenever I asked for pics, Sheria would say I was expecting miracles. Not true, I was only trying to document my journey and I actually saw progress sooner than I expected. On my last visit, Sheria finally pulled up my pics on her iPad and let me take pictures of those with my phone. I thanked her for helping me document my progress. The most disturbing part of my experience was not about pictures. It was that I received sores from her treatments. The first time I had a scalp sore, I did not think much of it. This last treatment, I did not know I had another sore until I got home and put up my hair for bed. I am not sure if Sheria noticed the sore, but I will say that all of a sudden before I left she recommended that I put on hydrocortisone ointment on my scalp because my scalp needed healing. This had never been mentioned in the months prior and she even gave me the ointment free of charge. Sheria put the ointment on my scalp before I left. Now I know why. (See pic). I was traveling after my appointment so I did not have the opportunity to tell her about the sore. However, the day after my appointment Sheria abruptly sent me a text long after business hours saying she decided I would be better off at another salon, with no explanation. This was a surprise since I had told her before I left that I was pleased with the regrowth progress I had seen so soon. Also, I was charged different prices for the same hair service. I never questioned her about pricing. I just paid and tipped. I would like to mention that her salon was very clean, which is important to me. However, the one star rating is for her lack of professionalism, poor communication skills, treatments that she mixes herself that are so intense they cause sores, and dropping a client who expressed thanks to her for her services (this was before I found the last sore).
