Some of my family are Vegans and they absolutely love when I bring a flat of these to family gatherings. Easy in/out of the location, you pull right off Wilton Rd into their parking area and walk right up. The lady that works the stand is always nice and attentive and greets you with a big smile. They have a nice selection of some fruits, vegetables and honey as well on the counter and behind it which she proudly puts on display. I recently purchased some cherries they had placed out there, they were great too! I have only ever gone on a Saturday so I am unable to speak to their hours but when I go again, I'll try to update as I see I am the first to review. Great produce, thank you!

The word "gourmet" can get thrown around with a nose-in-the-air attitude. Some people think that…read morefine food can only come from or be enjoyed by snobs. At Betsy Hite's Elegant and Easy Gourmet, that misconception is proven wrong. The incorporation of locally and homegrown produce, as well friendly service, make people feel like they're meeting with family rather than with a catering business. Even something as simple as a salad can be turned into a work of art at Betsy Hite's hands. Moist and flaky oven-baked salmon adorned a bed of mixed greens with hard-boiled egg, perfectly sweet beets (Hite's own pickled recipe), crisp and tender roasted asparagus, and a side of the fluffiest wild rice my mouth has ever tasted. If all that wasn't enough of a celebration for my taste buds, the sweet raspberry vinaigrette brought the whole party of ingredients together. The dish was both beautiful to gaze upon and to devour. That's what comes from a talented chef with her home and locally grown produce. Nothing beats the taste of fresh food. Of course, a meal isn't complete without the proper company to share it with. Regardless of what your catering needs are, Hite's welcoming demeanor sets the mood for your entertaining with her pleasant and jovial character. I didn't just meet a caterer with Betsy Hite; I made a new friend. Friendly, professional, delectable, creative, fresh, inspiring... need I go on? If someone is looking for gourmet with more of a homey attitude, you cannot go wrong with choosing Betsy Hite's Elegant and Easy Gourmet. The food itself is an experience, and making a friend in the process of a catering job is the bonus.

First of all her food is amazing, feel good for the soul cooking. Home cooked Turkey/Ham mashed potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserole, pasta salad, Caesar salad, gravy and candied yams. Every year our staff and customers ask if we will be having Betsy back to Cater and I reply with a "yes, we sure are". They smile with delight. During this time Betsy has become my friend. When I got married a few years ago, Betsy catered my wedding. Her food was outstanding! Salad, tri tip, chicken, garlic mashed potatoes & sautéed veggies. My guests loved her food. Did I mention she grows her own veggies and makes her own herbal rubs? She does! You will be very pleased working with her. Betsy knows her stuff and I can always trust that everything will be handled from the table and chair rentals, to the food with care and love in her hands.

Super friendly staff, and a cozy, well maintained working farm/garden area that is perfect for a Saturday morning with the kids. They have a small playground and a covered area where a "mud kitchen" will keep your kids entertained for quite a while. The cafe runs out of food pretty early, so order up fast. Everyone here seems to wrap up by lunchtime (when it gets warm/hot). Parking can be very restricted in the adjacent lot - you may need to park near the soccer fields and walk a bit. Overall, highly recommended.

There's a lot to see from chickens, a variety of flowers and fields of them with different vegetables and fruits like tomatoes and cucumbers, etc. since it was a work outing and we were all walking together, there wasn't much time to stop and check everything out. So I will probably be back before summer ends. They also had a a couple of greenhouses and I heard from a colleague that they have a little farmer's market on certain days. If you like being out in nature, seeing animals and smelling the flowers, check this place out. It's a free entry to the farm and I think they used to have more animals. I only saw the chickens.
