Really bad experience. I made an appointment for a perm, but I don't think appointments matter…read more When I came in, I said I had an appointment, but he just asked me what I wanted and said he could do it. When he asked me if I wanted big rods or small, I showed him a picture of the kind of curls I wanted and asked him which rods would give me that result. He chose bigger rods. He washed my hair not checking to see if the water was warm, so he was using freezing cold water until it warmed up. He then combed my hair with a fine toothed comb starting from the roots just ripping through when it hit a tangle which happened often since he didn't use conditioner when he washed my hair. Maybe perms take better with not conditioner? But then you need to brush it with a brush gently starting at the bottom. He seriously ripped out a lot of hair and it was pretty painful. The perm went fine, he put it in curlers, applied the perm treatment, and let it sit under the dryer to set. When that was done, he rinsed it out. But then he scrubbed it really rough with the towel. I thought you were supposed to be gentle with freshly permed hair, but I still figured he knew best. So I tried to trust the process and didn't say anything when he roughly combed it with a fine toothed comb again (ouch!), and then proceeded to BLOW DRY MY HAIR. Not with a diffuser or anything. He never scrunched the curls. He used a blow dryer and his fingers to comb through my hair while drying it and when he was done, it was COMPLETELY STRAIGHT. I think I was in shock, I just kept saying, "Ummm, it's straight!" He said it was because I asked for big rods, but I didn't, I only showed him a picture of what I wanted and the picture was curly hair. Then he tried to say it didn't take because my hair was too healthy?? Finally he said he wouldn't charge me and to come back tomorrow and he would do it again with smaller rollers. I was in shock and pretty upset, so I just left. When I got home, I got in the shower to wet my hair and try to reactivate the curl. I scrunched it up and did get some waves, but they're pretty loose and uneven with straight sections. I think if he had been more gentle with the curls after the perming process and not blow dried it straight (seriously, WTF?) it might have been fine. I have no idea why a stylist would give a perm and then rip through it with a find toothed comb and proceed to blow dry it straight, but here we are. Lots of damage to my hair just to have it slightly wavy and uneven with lots of straight sections.

I came in for eyebrow threading and brought a friend who was getting their brows done for the very first time, so naturally we both appreciated how warm, welcoming, and communicative they were throughout the entire visit. They took the time to ask what we wanted, checked in during the process, and made sure we felt comfortable and informed. You can immediately tell they're experienced and genuinely care about their work. They were friendly, personable, and created such an inviting environment from the moment we walked in. The shop itself was clean, well-organized, and had a really nice layout. Everything felt professional while still being comfortable and approachable. On top of that, their pricing was better than anywhere else I've been to in the area, which was a huge bonus. Great service, great value, and a great overall experience. The location was also super convenient, and we even got to grab banh mi next door afterward, which made the trip even better. I'm really glad we stopped in and will absolutely be coming back. Excited to continue giving them my business and recommending them to friends.

WORST NAIL SALON EVER UPDATE TO ADD: by day four, all ten…read morenails had fallen. The salon NEVER responded to my complaint. I have visited this nail place twice and both experiences were bad. The first time, the tech was incredibly rude to me. I specifically called ahead and said that I wanted Gel X. The tech started to apply acrylic primer and when I said that I did not want acrylics, she got mad at ME! I made it very clear from the very beginning that I never wanted acrylics but for some reason that miscommunication felt like it was my fault. Today I called ahead and said I wanted a full set of Gel Builder. The tech started to apply regular Gel X (fake nails covering the whole nails, as opposed to just tips) and I said I actually wanted Gel builder. The manager came over and said I should get Gel X and I was just like, "whatever", because the more you complain, the worse they treat you. The first tech applied the tips, and then, for some reason, just got up and left and some other tech took over. She was way more friendly (Suzanne) and she did my cuticles and polish. I left her a large cash tip because she was actually friendly. Four hours after my manicure, my pinky nail fell off. I called them and told them I wanted a partial refund. The guy said they "don't do refunds". So, I guess this place is happy to take your money for a full set, but when your nail falls off four hours later, sucks for you. They told me to come back to have it fixed, but by then I was already home. My tween daughter fixes it for me, but the color match is not perfect.

I took my 11-year-old daughter here for her first manicure, and unfortunately, it was an awful…read moreexperience. While the nails themselves look fine, my daughter was cut multiple times during the manicure, twice on one nail and again on another. These were not minor scratches, the cuts broke the skin and left her with injuries she did not have when she arrived. I had specifically expressed concerns about cleanliness and sanitization when I scheduled the appointment, which makes the fact that she left with multiple open cuts particularly upsetting. I am now concerned about the potential for infection and will be monitoring the injuries closely. The salon offered a 10% discount, which amounted to $6.50, leaving me to pay $58.50 for a service that resulted in multiple injuries to my child. In my opinion, I should not have been charged for a service that caused her to be injured. A discount does not feel like an adequate response when a child leaves a salon with multiple bloody cuts, and won't be able to show off her nails as they will now be covered in bandaids. This experience also felt extremely rushed. Rather than feeling like a careful, relaxing first manicure for my daughter, it felt as though speed was prioritized over attention to detail and safety. They also used a pre-used nail file on my daughter when their website explicitly states: "Buffers and files are used only once, then discarded." - this was not followed. I will be reporting the incident to the health department and sharing our experience with others in the community. I sincerely hope the salon takes this seriously and reviews its procedures for sanitation, equipment handling, and preventing injuries to customers. I would not recommend this salon, particularly for children, based on our experience. Edited to add after the business owner's response to my google review: I did call back the salon and said the way they can make this "right" is offering a full refund. I did not receive the services I was promised, and they REFUSED to refund me my money. They offered me a $35 spa pedicure to come back in and there is no way I am returning to this place. The receptionist also questioned me when she saw my review about the used nail file, and it was clearly used - it has white stuff all over it and was very very clearly used. Not brand new as their website states. Review your security footage. Will be adding this to my report to the health department.
