From the timelines of the initial bid to completion of a concrete patio removal / paver…read moreinstallation project, I was really pleased with the service provided by Russel and his crew. During the initial site visit, Russel identified the drainage and pitch issues of the existing patio, and I had a quote for the job before he left the site. During the patio removal and paver installation, his crew was just as great. There was some existing damage to part of my foundation that was accessible once the old patio was removed, and I was pleasantly surprised to find the crew had patched it. This attention to detail continued until the completion of the project, and I'm thrilled with the end result.

I don't say this about many contractors, but I'm so glad we went with them. Mike and his crew were great to work with, very respectful of our property and provided a high quality patio that we love. The crew were all really nice and clearly take a lot of pride in what they do. They were also the cleanest contractors I've ever worked with. Truly so impressed with their work and would recommend them to anyone. Fair warning, they are busy so communication may be slow at times, but rest assured, in the end, it'll be worth it.

Mike (the owner) and his crew evaluated the best way to do things, provided us with a couple of options with pros and cons of each. On the second day, I was home, and went out to see the work - and was shown in detail what was done.

We undertook this project with a great deal of trepidation. Our 60-year old concrete driveway was…read morein sore need of replacement. We obtained several estimates and decided to go with a well-established contractor, Pavestone Brick Paving, based on their reputation and experience. (We decided against hiring landscapers who also installed pavers even though their quotes were somewhat lower.) We visited some paver driveways that Pavestone constructed in our village and were impressed with the quality of their work. We also were bolstered by a visit to their facility in Des Plaines where we met the office staff and viewed the construction equipment. From start to finish, the experience was smooth and pleasant. We worked with Sergio, and I was completely satisfied with the service that he provided. From his initial visit to our house, through the discussions of the quotation, and conversations during the ongoing work, he displayed a pleasant demeanor and maintained contact with us, by phone and email. I felt quite comfortable working with him. He made useful suggestions during the planning process, such as rerouting the lower section of our downspouts below ground to discharge into our yard. I was also pleased that he was able to replace an unneeded section of our old driveway with sod. He provided samples of paver stones to assist us in choosing the best fit for our house and even created computer-generated renderings, depicting our house and driveway with the selected pavers installed (see photo). The job began about a month after we signed the contract. The crew of 5 men, led by Hector, worked tirelessly over a period of 6.5 days, in heat and occasional (light) rain, leading to a very attractive outcome. Each worker knew exactly what to do, and the team did their job in concert like a well-oiled machine. (See the photos which depict the progress of the project, from start to finish.) We are quite pleased with the outcome; the result is an attractive driveway that has become the envy of my neighbors. I have received many compliments from them in the days following completion. In summary, Pavestone Brick Paving transformed the worn and aged look of our driveway and walkways into an aesthetically appealing complement to our house's facade. I give them my highest recommendation.

We had to make some minor adjustments to my project along the way and every time Dave accommodated the change to ensure the project perfectly matched my vision. It's not often you find a contractor that has a customer focused attitude paired with incredible skill offering his services at a fair price but Dave certainly checks all the boxes.

My husband and I are both avid gardeners and we wanted a design that would create new garden spaces to and complement the look of the house. Concerning for us was that much of ground consisted of packed clay and debris that drained poorly and needed to be excavated and amended prior to walkway installation.   Wave Outdoors responded quickly to our request for an estimate and provided stellar customer service throughout all stages of the project. The owner, Brian, listened carefully to our requests and expectations. We were especially impressed by Brian's keen design sensibility, knowledge of native plants, and enthusiasm for the project. Brian presented us with two professional-looking plans, both of which cleverly addressed the problem areas in the yard using existing materials (flagstones, plants, etc.) and, most importantly, stayed within our modest budget - which was not easy given the long list of things we wanted accomplished. With only short notice, Brian worked our project into his busy Spring schedule. The landscaping team was courteous, professional, and incredibly hard-working. A project that easily could have taken four days was completed in half the time. The landscaping team exceeded our expectations in terms of identifying problems and solutions that arose during the actual construction. For example, the team demolished and removed three buried concrete pillars that were found only after construction had started. Moreover, the worksite was kept clean and orderly throughout the day and we received zero complaints about noise or equipment from the neighbors. Brian made regular inspections throughout the day to answer our questions and ensure that things went smoothly. Another factor leading us to recommend Wave Outdoors was the craftsmanship and quality construction materials that were used. For example, the walkways form an even and continuous plane and stepping stones fit snugly. The grass sod, compost, and mulch that were brought in appear to be well-sourced and very high-quality. The final landscape is aesthetic and provides excellent drainage away from the house, a beautiful new walkway, and adjacent garden beds that are already attracting pollinators. We could not be more pleased and will be contacting Wave Outdoors again soon for another project!
