My wife and I purchased a king-sized tempurpedic ergo bed from the San Juan store that cost $10,000. We had never spent that much money on a piece of furniture before. But after countless nights of restless sleep and back pain, we decided to invest in a high quality bed to improve our sleep quality. We moved to the island a year ago so are not completely fluent in Spanish. The sales associate spoke little English and spoke to us in Spanish only. We understood a little bit when he could not explain things clearly, he called over another associate who translated things to us very well. We were told by the sales associate that the tempurpedic bed (firm) was the best and highest quality bed that would offer us the needed relief we were searching for. This is the first major purchase on a bed that we have made in the 15 years we have been married so we were relying on and trusting the expertise of the sales associate. We tried laying on the firm and normal beds on display and decided on the firm bed as that was the recommendation from the associate. After we completed our purchase at the sales counter, the sales associate summoned the sales clerk from behind the counter to THEN explain to us (since he was not fluent in English) that returns/exchanges were not allowed under any circumstances, which we were very surprised to hear. A huge learning for us to ask about all of those details before the purchase. Again, it was our first large furniture purchase. Once the bed arrived to our home, we immediately noticed the bed was even more firm than when we tried it out at the store. Additionally, we received the worst sleep and body pain after sleeping on it for just a couple of days, even more than our previous cheap memory foam mattress we purchased from Amazon 10 years ago and that we were replacing. My wife contacted the store and also contacted Tempurpedic directly to see what our options were (even to exchange it for a less firm bed) and was told there's nothing that can be done. This was extremely frustrating and disappointing. You would think after investing $10,000 in a new bed that there would be something that could be done. I tried giving the bed some time to settle into the mold of my body, but here I am, 4 weeks later, with no relief and writing this review. The worst part is that our sleep quality is the worst it's ever been. I wake up sore every morning and my wife has reverted to sleeping in our guest bedroom because there's no position for her that's comfortable, even when the bed is adjusted to different incline and lumbar position, which was also a huge selling feature of the bed. The store policy is very unreasonable to high paying customers and the quality of the bed is very poor. I would not recommend the store or this bed to anyone. It is a complete waste of $10,000 that we can never get back. Just know that if you go here looking for furniture, you will not be able to return or exchange under any circumstances. read more
