The stuff is nice but the price did give me a sticker shock. Despite items being on sale it was dear. I have shopped at many places that sell Scandinavian goods for home but not as expensive as this. Needless to say we walked out empty handed. The stuff is very nice but not worth the money in my opinion. Some things were truly beautiful but still very pricey for what it was. For example we found some nice placemats for the dinner table made from good quality leather but at €34 each having to buy 6-8 of them means it's one expensive dinner table layout ;-)) you get the idea :-)

Hand knitted wool socks and Pantoffeln by grannies from the Vogelsberg are superwarm, but quite rough. Just wish they were also available with a bit of Alpaca, Mohair or Cashmere. My small complaint might be petty: I love the heavy Speck Stoneware of the bottle of the Obstlers, but 29 € are a still price to pay? Delicious: the chocolate truffles.

Apparently today I am going to review places I've been to loads of times. Noord is one of them…read more I started going here a while back when living in the neighborhood. Noord is a concept and design store in Frankfurt's Nordend and it is my favorite. They carry local designer's goods... including everything from posters to mugs to jewelry. I can't stand when people say "Ohhhhh that is an Instagram pretty place" (really, is your life that fake and contrived??), but Noord is an Instagram pretty place. But what it is most is local and a place that supports the small guys fighting in a sea of Ikeas and corporations. The service at Noord is attentive and knowledgeable about the products they sell. This means a lot for mindful buyers like myself. Definitely a must-visit in Frankfurt for those loving design and getting behind the concept itself and supporting the local and small guys.

I've been here twice so far and had two very different experiences…read more Yes you have to wait a long time but if you have time to stop by they will tell you when your appointment will be so you can come back then. Which is nice not having to sit there for an hour + The first time I went it was about an hour wait, and the woman who waxed me was gentle and did a lovely job. She talked to me and made me feel comfortable about getting a bikini wax. The second time I went I had to wait longer, but I think that had to do with the time of day. The woman who waxed me was anything but gentle. She didn't seem to be experienced? She didn't use any baby powder and when I told her that the wax was very hot her response was "yes it is" ....usually they cool it down a bit especially on such s sensitive area! I don't know if I'll go back again because you don't seem to be able to choose your aesthetician.

Wax In The City has been recommended on many website and for good reasons:…read more -prices are reasonable -the wax they use is just GREAT! -it's very clean -the location is ideal -no appointment needed On the other hand, although the staff is very nice, you may regret the waiting time (sometimes 2 hours) and the impression of being on a production line. The "depiladoras" clearly have no time to ask common questions like "Is the wax too hot"? or even try to make the experience as painless as possible. I would recommend Wax In The City to those who wants a salon conveniently located and "without risks" (clean and with professional staff). However, if you already know a smaller salon with a nice staff who has time to do the work... Don't leave it.
