The shop is very small and sandwiched inbetween Moods card shop and a beauty salon. There is one central bay style window which is packed with housing advertisments. Due to the small window size this can often appear very messy and disorganised. The adverts show houses that are either available to buy or rent in the local area. They also show houses that have been sold. Indoors there is a small, dimly lighted area with a couple of desks where the staff sit and will talk to you. I find the staff very competent and helpful as well as polite. They will do their very best to help you find what you are looking for. I have had experience in searching for a house with these guys and have to say they were totally professional, aligning details with properties and keeping in regular contact.

Four years ago I took out a mortgage and bought my flat through Reeds Rains. I found they were very…read morehelpful and on the ball. The communication was excellent and I was always kept in the picture throughout the process. I was so happy with the service I received that I then went on to rent out my flat with them. Again, all was good until the end of the tenancy when they were less than helpful. Although they were not managing the property they had kept the deposit and were reluctant to release this. The communication was dire and they were rude and unpleasant whenever I spoke to them. Needless to say, I did not re advertise through them although they put my flat online again WITHOUT my permission.

Unfortunately, they have no clue about the prep needed to lay Firm Fit Flooring (Feedback given to…read moreFirmFit) Had ours installed on tile and floorboards and advised by Kyle's husband (Martin) flooring "expert", no mention of needing this screeded. 3 years down line flooring is breaking and when we have actual experts in to lay more flooring they confirm this has been a very poor job by a very poor company. Be aware of these Darras Hall jumped up crooks!

H&H were recommended by my solicitor, as she had just used them for her own home. They initially travelled 133 miles here to do a technical report for me on the original installation and then they returned - for a week, three lads away from home in the middle of winter - to replace my entire heating system. I now have a beautifully warm house, heating bills that are under control (the other system was costing me £350/month, it's now well under £100 in winter for a 145m2 property) and the whole thing does not bang, bubble, burp, smoke, squeak, drip or otherwise threaten to explode. I can finally breathe out. Thank you, H&H for rescuing me. A firm entirely made up of first class gentlemen, with a head honcho who has a planet brain for all things heating.
