I read online reviews, called around, and spoke with as many as I could to address this project for my mom's home. Most places never returned my call. That absolutely takes you off my list; if I'm trying to give you money and you don't want to call, then you clearly don't need my project. Peter at Palm Beach Siding not only answered immediately but with subsequent calls, he responded in a timely manner. Peter and his team took on my mom's siding replacement like true professionals. We agreed to meet on site and do a walk through. Peter was on time, friendly, and knowledgeable. We discussed options and potential challenges, you will have them on a 58 year old home. We agreed for materials, how to proceed, and such. Then we waited. I joke but it's true, with a group like Palm Beach Siding, you will have to wait a bit, they must have a nice roster of work. And that is okay and expected by me. So we kept in touch until Peter called about 2 weeks before Christmas to let me know they could start the following week. That left about a week or so before Christmas. Peter assured me they would be complete before Christmas. They were complete today, the 21st of December. As promised and so well-crafted. Mom is delighted with the new and fresh look of her home. The project was as smooth as they go, the site was clean and organized, and the work looked spot-on every step of the way. I moved into a home and there was an area i wanted to have a screen enclosure for. The minute Peter walked in and saw the area, the first reaction was "not interested". As he looked at the general area his interest got lesser and lesser since he said "this isnt easy and I think we will pass. We were looking for something easy". Really? First of all, it is not difficult area to work on. Its a simple 18 ft by 12 and sure it would have taken some work on gutter area, it isnt difficult for professionals. I of course had another company come in, point out how they would address the work with professionalism. I am still looking at several contractors but Peter was just not great. He seemed like it was an inconvenience to look at it and total lack of interest in even providing a quote. I was surprised since doing my homework they were A rates with Better Business Bureau. Today (Palm Sunday) we had a leak in the part of the roof Mike hadn't originally installed. I gingerly texted Mike to ask his advice. What I got back was well more than anything I could have expected. Mike called to tell me his supervisor, Travis, was already en route to our house. I then got a call from Travis saying he was twenty minutes out. 18 minutes later, he was at the door. He reviewed the leak inside, got his ladder and climbed up the roof and within ten minutes, was back down and showing me pictures of where he'd determined a dryer vent had let water in. Mike called me back to tell me he had a team he could send. Now. I told him it's Palm Sunday, I don't want to take your guys away from their families. Mike said, they are busy all week, this is my best chance to get this fixed. It won't take more than four hours. I agreed and within an hour, there they were at the door, ready to go. They cleared the tile, laid proper under layers - three layers in total. Then buttoned it all up again and were done within two and a half hours. I got a full set of pictures from Mike explaining every step of what was done. All this would be great on a weekday. But a Sunday? Palm Sunday? I am just in awe. From a customer perspective, it's like having a choice of hiring superheros like Mike and his team, or saying no thank you - I prefer the usual sheisters and snake oil salesmen that typically make up the roofing business. You can spin the wheel and take your chances - but for me - I just feel damn lucky to have found someone who provides this level of service and this quality of work all for a really modest price.
