Every time we stop in this little "Gem in Dunkirk" there is something new and different - really unique items. The pricing is really great and your dollar goes a long way here. Some of the items are so hard to find that this might be the only place you will see some of these things. This store if far better then most Thrift stores we've ever been to - so much more that we don't even call it a thrift store - it's definitely a boutique! There is normally parking on the side street - the store itself faces the main road, but it sits on a corner - so parking on the side street is the best place as there is a fire hydrant right out front and no sense giving the City of Dunkirk the money you just saved by shopping at this store. The items you will find in this store range from slightly used clothing (not a huge selection, but something for everyone), household items, books, CD's, toys, seasonal items (GREAT Christmas finds), furniture, TV's that work and are plugged in, and the list just is endless. I almost don't want you to shop here because I can't get everything I want all at once and I'm afraid you will find my stuff and buy it up! However, the owners and their daughter that works there are so friendly and helpful I'd like to see them flourish in this economy. So - I'm willing to share. Right now they have amazing store hours and are open 7 days a week - YES even on Sundays when there is little else to do - take a drive down the scenic route to Dunkirk and stop and and check this place out!

In addition, they had to order the chairs I purchased and they weren't in yet. They also make you pay for delivery which I think is ridiculous. My couch was delivered before my chairs and the delivery man, which is one of the owners, was extremely rude to me. I like to shop local, but I will never shop at this store again. I ended up buying bar chairs at the Ashley store in Orchard Park and received free delivery on the guaranteed date and much friendlier staff all around.

Gabel Bros sent their"So Called" chairnrepair guy to my house to try to figure out what was wrong with it. He said they would order a remote. I call the store about a month and a half later and he didn't even tell the store about the remote. After waiting almost 2 months total he came with the remote and that was nit the problem. He said we will order another part and come back out. Four months later and not evenl a phone call. Because he was playing guessing games with what the chair needed and he couldn't figure it out I get Stonewalled. I would never do business with them again and would NEVER recommend them to anyone!! This guy is doubling regular retail pricing assuming because he is the only record shop in the area. As if e-commerce doesn't exist. On top of that the owner, I presume, was too busy talking with a friend about building out his space to have a concert venue and cool place for college kids to hang out (probably to rip them off too), and couldn't be bothered to ask if we needed any help finding anything. The proprieter, Ron, offers pottery…read moreclasses and rents out wheels and stalls and kiln time to potters in need of a place to throw clay around. He's a laid back guy, always in clay spattered jeans and t-shirt or flannel shirt. He and one or two of his students sell their ware in the front of the shop, while the wheels and kilns are in the back. Most of Ron's pottery is functional, non-froofy earthware. Don't expect it to be super cheap; it is, after all, hand-thrown and not mass produced. It is certainly quality, and to me well worth the money. I believe that he takes special orders--need a gift for your daughter who is getting married? He very may well be able to make a set of goblets for her. Looking for a fruit bowl of a specific size? Ask him! It's possible he can throw one of the size and color you want. Mudslingers is a hidden gem behind the main street in Fredonia. Don't miss it!

I said that I am here to guide and teach. The guy, without knowing anything about me said that I also wasn't qualified to teach him) Then, he looked at my car outside and said I was parked next to a fire hydrant and it really pisses him off. (I was properly parked in a space lined for cars next to it) He continued to yell at us, and while leaving I told him that he was discriminating against a person with disabilities and that I would notify the appropriate agency about the discrimination. I felt like I stepped back in time where people had no rights!
