I think people having negative opinions would post more likely than people approving Rong Fu's services. I have been using her services for many years and overall I'm very satisfied. To those who wrote negative things, can you think of your own case, maybe it IS too complicated and will consume a lot of accontant's time and and resources? In general, as far as I know, the fee structure is based on how many IRS forms and worksheets being invoked. If more forms and worksheets being used, you pay more service fee. It is very rigid and rigorous, not much room for you and her to choose different options. To the other guy who got professional info regarding his business tax options, I think $200 per hour is really low because the time is not counted as 8 hour per day like you are working for an employer. If you go for a lawyer, see how much you would pay! From my experience, I think the service charge is reasonable, and less expensive than many CPAs that I sent my inquiries about. For the tax, believe me, IRS will not leave too much room for you to choose around and find some significant lower tax schemes. Otherwise the IRS would be a total fool and joke! imagine this IRS has all kinds of tools resources and professionals experts working got them, do you think a CPA would be able to make you pay any meaningfully less tax? think again or dream on... read more

It's truly hard to imagine how she managed to muddle through helping with tax filing. If there are negative numbers involved, it really shows a lack of respect for us as U.S. taxpayers. read more

When asked to file tax reports separately for married couples, she recommended divorced. LOL. AVOID AT ALL COST.

Absolutely unprofessional!! Before you make the payment, they are really proactive about your case. After you pay the money, the process just starts slowing down... My company asked this firm to file something and they didn't provide any update for 2 months after receiving our documents. Also we wanted to consult some general questions with Ms Rong Fu, and all she said to us was "I don't know." Her unprofessional attitude is way beyond your imagination!!!!!! read more

Echoing all other 1 stars on this lady! She doesn't even deserve any star! 100% UNPROFESSIONAL! Super rude and arrogant! She simply couldn't talk or think like a normal person. I'm glad that our conversation around a quote ended up her hanging up on me. Reading all the reviews here makes me feel lucky that I have avoided wasting money on a hell service. Please look elsewhere Yelp surfers! Any CPA is better than this grumpy grouchy witch. read more

Rong Fu has been doing our acupuncture clinic's payroll and taxes since 2014. They always run our payrolls on time and makes changes per our request with no additional charge. I am doing the bookkeeping by myself using QuickBooks since I need to keep track of my daily business. Since I am not a professional accountant, I had a lot of questions at the beginning. I went to her office with all my questions and she explained to me very clear and patient. Now I can use the accounting software very easily. If I have any questions or concerns, I called her or send her an email. She always answers my questions right away. I really enjoy the flexibility of the way to work with her. It saves me a lot of time so I can do more business. I also refer a lot my friends to her and they are very happy with her too. read more

Ms. Rong Fu has been my CPA since I started my restaurant in 2014. She is doing my payroll, filing sales tax, doing bookkeeping every month for my business and doing tax returns for my family and the business. I had been selected for the sales tax audit a few weeks ago and I was so worried about that. But surprisingly the result was turned out to be no opinion. That was so amazing and unbelievable. Thank you so much to Rong Fu and her staff for helping me whenever I have accounting or tax issues. I highly recommend her to be your accountant especially if you have a restaurant business. read more

No lie, Ms. Fu does good work. My mom has been going to her for the last 7 years and she's always took wonderful care of her. Now that I'm in need to independently file my taxes, I have also began to see Ms. Fu. My mom and I actually just had an appointment within the last week and both of our work were done within 40 minutes. Ms. Fu is efficient and quick. I really don't see why everyone else is on here is upset but I suppose they've different matters. If you need to simply file your taxes for a return, I do recommend Ms. Fu. read more

This women is the most horrible person I had ever seen. Please visit her if you want humiliate yourself and challenge a different world. Seriously, I don't know how could such a person still survive in this world because she has No basic manner and polite at all!!! I highly doubt the good reviews are faked because she got extremely low rating before, which she deserved for her superrrrrrr rude and unprofessional service! That's right, if you asked the question which she has no answer, she will become very sarcastic and even use bitter sarcasm. I felt so sad for her assistant because she treats them like a slaves. Just like the previous review mentioned, it's a completely different world! read more

Rong Fu, the worst person I have met here, was very rude. She is my employer's business accountant.I called her this morning for my private tax issue with first year choice question.she can't remember anything about either my employer or his business. She was very unhappy to answer my question.I have visited two other CPAS this week, they had different plans about how to file my tax.So I need to make sure with another CPA.She only told me two words NR about how to file my tax.And she also insisted to charge me first or she can't answer any question. If I don't know she can do anything better than myself ,how could I pay her? Very bad experience!Don't call her!Don't go there! read more

I am glad I can't file my tax here with her service. She is a very rude person (just from calling her and ask for an appointment to file my tax). She just hung up the phone when she finished what she wants to say without hearing my response or even say thank you or goodbye. I am glad I don't need to pay her for that such bad attitude and the service!! read more

My family went to Rong Fu CPA since 6 years ago till now. She was recommend by one of my co-worker when I was relocated to California. At that time I tried to apply a tax ID for my husband who just move to United States with me but I was rejected by IRS. Rong Fu . helped me and all the process after she took over was smooth. Rong Fu is very sharp, very knowledgeable and professional. When my friend start his start up in 2011, I also recommended him to use Rong Fu's service for company tax, payroll, and also international tax consultant. Her business is getting better and better. Most of the tax season she was fully occupied, but remember to make appointment and she will listen to you and give you valuable advise. I recommend her. read more

We've always went to an accountant in the East Bay while we lived in the South Bay. Last year, we thought we would find someone closer to our house. The first meeting with Rong Fu went well. We really did not think our taxes would be difficult. She gave us a quote and we agreed to proceed. In the middle of preparing our tax return, she raised our price, stating it would take more work than she estimated. We were already in the middle of the process, so we agreed with the rate increase so we can get it done. However, this already left a poor impression. This year, we returned to our reliable accountant in the East Bay. Then, we were told Rong Fu did not file a form that was necessary. I called her several times, and she finally told us we did not need that form and she refused to correct the situation. She never even returned my 3rd call. We finally asked our East Bay accountant to complete this for us (for more fee of course.) If you want your taxes done correctly with the service you deserve, I would suggest you look elsewhere. We've learned our lesson. read more

Worst service in the whole area, I'm very new in the Bay Area, but I can still tell what is a good service and what isn't. I speak mandarin and my lawyer send me their contact(I can't believe my lawyer would have recommended me them) that's why I came here. I was very respectful to them in the beginning and made sure I cooperate with them everything to be a good tax payer. Because I don't want any bad record in my tax return and I'm very care I do everything right. But I found the wrong CPA, I received a letter from the government saying that they believe I haven't done my tax return for 2014 which I paid them Rong Fu to do it. (Today is Jun 10th 2106) Then when I asked them to go to pick a copy of my tax return in that year the owner says she can't because they need to go for lunch and if I don't show up before 12:00 they will close the door, and with a very rude, provocative and aggressive tone. ( I asked the appointment one day before with a girl who pick up the phone but she didn't tell me they are going to have a lunch party, a lunch party can you believed this is their reason to shut the door for their customer by their mistake two years ago and without any inform one day ago when I made the appointment) So please, just don't go their, California, in this area shouldn't tolerant a business with this bad service like that. I think they are this presumptuous is because most of their costumer is Chinese people or mandarin speaker, that's why they don't care what service they will offer because if you are new you would need that language! (I use to be like this so I trusted them more. )which make me feel worse. Imagine if someone couldn't speak this out in a native language but still experiencing their bad services. I just want write as much as can to tell you my experience. And just one more thing! Don't go there! read more

Do not go there! The worst attitude I've even seen. I made an appointment with her at 6pm, she clicked me out when I arrived on time saying I cannot do your case since it is too complicated. No a single word of apology. I overheard she complained about having clients come at 6pm, but it's her who proposed the appointment at 6 at first place! Cannot believe they still have business open. read more

I would give Rong Fu a zero rating if I can. You should trust the bad reviews here because I know those are the real reviews from customers. I went there yesterday for tax report. First time here. And yes, like others said, she is very rude and doesn't care about the details on your tax report. She just need your total income, put it in, charge you and goodbye. Her assistant Gary was so nice and helpful, but ended up being blamed and yelled at right in front of me in her office. She said really bad words that you cannot imagine. The reason was he gave me too much assist which she didn't allowed because she didn't want to be responsible for any potential "risk". I really learned a lesson from here. After all this, I decided not to let her report my tax this year, and asked for partial refund. "No refund. I did it already and can turn it in if you want. " she said. And she spoke loudly in front of several people that were waiting,"Look what you did Gary! We lost a customer from you!" Well, Gary was a lot more helpful than her, alright? She was unhappy and yelled at another assistant for not moving out the flowers, when the assistant was eating lunch. My god. It is a totally different world in there. Believe me and just go to somewhere else. You deserve at least a normal service for what you pay. read more

It was such a terrible experience... I really wouldn't wish this on anyone else. I was looking for a new accountant to file my personal and business tax. I found Rong Fu online and called to ask for a quote over the phone. Her quote seemed reasonable so I made an appointment to meet with her. During our meeting, she said it will cost more because of it being more complicated than what she originally thought. While my business partner and I asked her questions relating to business tax, her answers didn't make us feel that she had good knowledge of it. So we decided not to file tax with her. After I notified her (before she had started any work on our case), she wouldn't return my tax documents and insisted that we would have to pay her "consulting fees" for the 30 min we spent with her. She then told us her hourly rate is $200! And we would have to pay $200 to get OUR tax documents back....... read more
