Previously, he was the Acting Dean of the Irvine campus of Western State University College of Law, the former Legal Director of the Orange County Chapter of the ACLU Foundation of Southern California, and a Master in the American Inns of Court.
He is currently listed as one of Orange County's "Super Lawyers" by Findlaw, has the highest peer attorney rating available by Martindale-Hubbell and appears in Who's Who in American Law.

I have extensive administrative law experience including representation before numerous agencies in California, including the United States Department of Agriculture, the Department of Social Services, most Medical Boards, the Department of Motor Vehicles, the State Contractors' License Board, the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, the Department of Consumer Affairs, the Bureau of Real Estate, and the Los Angeles County Civil Service Commission. I have represented numerous clients in matters involving school boards, planning commissions and city councils.
I am married and live and practice in Santa Ana, although my cases take me all over the state. My wife is Vietnamese fluent and one of the best cooks and gardeners you will ever meet. My daughter is a social worker in North Carolina.
I taught law school for 20 years, including classes in civil liberties and administrative hearing practice.
There are about 2,000 practicing attorneys in California who were students of mine.
