I am a 68 Year old English Male, born to Polish Parents, that has lived in the USA since 1986. The…read morestigma that English people carry that their Teeth are all bad, was true and worsened in my case, because my Parents emigrated to England after the 2nd World War and had very little money to purchase Toothpaste and Tooth Brushes. All the income from Father working two jobs went on Food and paying the living costs. As a result, my Teeth were in very poor condition and needed constant maintenance. To make matters worse, when I was 5 Years old, I was playing Cowboys and Indians with my older Brother, who was only 5 Years older than me. Part of the make believe involved me being tied to a Chair with my Hands behind my Back and my Feet beneath and between the 4 Legs of the Chair. At that stage of life, in my attempts to escape, I thought it would be a good idea to rock the Chair forward. This proved to be a very poor idea, as I fell forward landing on my Face and knocking out my Front Tooth, Root and all. Had it been 2026 and not 1963, we may have known to quickly put the Tooth, Root and all in a Glass of Milk and attempted to have it reinserted into my Jaw. Needless to say, we didn't know and I spent many of my younger Years with a space at the location and then in my Teens, a false Tooth on a Plastic Pallet, which I hated wearing. As this was such a poorly fitting Plastic Tooth, (that didn't match the adjacent one in size, or color) the adjacent front Tooth commenced moving to the side and occupying the space of the missing Tooth. When I reached my mid twenties, I took the plunge and decided to have the English NHS Dental system make me a Bridge to span the Missing front Tooth. This was a real challenge to achieve symmetry with my top two front teeth being central with my upper Lip and over the years, I learnt to compensate by Smiling with my Lips favoring one side to try and restore symmetry. Did I also mention that the English did not/do not have their Wisdom Teeth removed, so to add insult to injury, all my front bottom Teeth were badly compounded. I have been in the USA, legally I might add, since 1986 and I have had many Dentists that have attempted to keep my Mouth full of Teeth in a reasonable condition, but yet they were still a mess. Several Years ago, my luck changed and I found Dr. Lazarof of Sargon Dental, in Encino. What attracted me to him was my need for at least two Implants as two Roots had broken. One of which was at the top close to the front, so needed quick action. I came across an Implant, named Ultra Tooth Implant, invented by Dr. Lazarof, that could be loaded as soon as it was installed, as opposed to waiting up to 6 Months for the Jaw to grow around and lock in the Implant, as required by traditional Implants. I determined that my health and lifestyle was worth it and Dr. Lazarof became my regular Dentist of choice. Earlier this year, I needed a lot of work as a result of old failing Crowns and at that time I decided to have a Mouth make over involving 20 Teeth, to give me a smile that would correct my misaligned top front Teeth and correct the compounded bottom front Teeth. I can proudly say that the final result is absolutely natural looking and magnificent. I commend not only Dr. Lazarof, but his entire staff that are the most proficient team of Dentists, assistants and administration staff that I have ever encountered. They are amazing and would recommend anyone to allow Dr. Lazarof to become their regular Dentist. Especially if their child loses a Front Tooth, requiring an Implant that can be loaded and replacement Tooth installed immediately.

Based on my experience, he engages in this practice to prevent patients from seeking a second opinion advising that they do not need the expensive surgery he is advising. In April of 2026, I visited Ravon Dental for an initial consultation about my gums and possible gum recession. Prior to my visit, I had not experienced any gum discomfort or pain. During the initial visit, Dr. Ravon advised me that I needed major surgery for both my lower and upper gums. Not wanting to do the entire mouth at one time, I scheduled the lower gum surgery. Dr. Ravon completed the surgery on my lower gums using a large amount of tissue from the roof of my mouth. The recovery was quite painful and I am currently still experiencing discomfort from it. When I returned for a follow-up visit a few weeks later, Dr. Ravon advised me that I had to do the upper gum surgery and replace my silver fillings by the end of 2026. In light of the pain I was still experiencing from the April surgery, I sought a second opinion from another periodontist whose office is also located in Beverly Hills and who is internationally recognized for his excellence. The second periodontist I visited advised me that I did not need any work whatsoever on my gums, did not need any fillings replaced, and that anyone who wanted to do any surgery on my mouth "is crazy." Do not go to Dr. Ravon and if you do, PLEASE get a second opinion before you have him engage in any procedures.

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Dr. Sam Vahedi and his entire office…read more I had a tooth that previously underwent a root canal and crown years ago, and out of nowhere it suddenly broke one day. I immediately saw my general dentist, who recommended that the tooth be extracted and replaced with an implant. As you can imagine, I was extremely nervous and anxious about the idea of oral surgery. I reached out to Dr. Sam Vahedi's office, and from the very first interaction, they were incredibly accommodating and professional. They understood the urgency of my situation and scheduled me promptly, which immediately helped put me at ease. The moment I walked into the office and met Dr. Vahedi, I felt calm and reassured. He has a very confident yet kind demeanor that instantly builds trust. They performed a CT scan, and Dr. Vahedi took the time to thoroughly explain exactly what was going on and what the plan would be. He explained that the first step would be extracting the broken tooth, which had three roots. During the procedure, he carefully numbed the area. There was only minimal discomfort with the numbing, and after that, I truly did not feel any pain at all. I could feel some pressure and hear some crunching, but there was absolutely no pain. Throughout the entire process, I felt completely confident in Dr. Vahedi's technical expertise and knowledge. It was clear that I was in very capable hands, and sure enough, he did a magnificent job. His assistant, Heidi, was also wonderful--very attentive, reassuring, and kind. I was so relaxed during the procedure that they actually thought I had fallen asleep! That alone speaks volumes about how comfortable and stress-free the experience was. I will be returning in several months for the next steps of my implant process, and I am extremely grateful that Dr. Sam Vahedi is my oral surgeon. If anyone ever asks me who they should see for oral surgery, extractions, or implants, I will unconditionally and enthusiastically recommend Dr. Vahedi. An outstanding experience from start to finish.
