a blow back to the eighties where they require a store bought bill to be presented or NO REFUND, not even a store credit. Producing a credit card receipt is not acceptable.
I did not take a receipt because frankly in today's digital, ease of access to information economy who does?
The store refused me a small refund because I had no store bought receipt. They pointed to all their signs that expressly stated this. Yes, I did a mistake in not keeping the receipt, but I still was a loyal customer. Nevertheless, policy arising from a truly archaic manual system, outweighs customer satisfaction and I am no longer a loyal customer.
Hopefully they will learn from this and invest in some system that provides flexibility in order to satisfy customers.
