We ended up getting my engagement ring resized (two babies later the ring didn't fit lol), fixed a diamond that fell out of my halo, and got a new solitaire ring (both the diamond and setting from pro gems)! While we were here we ended up getting all of our rings cleaned as well. (Yay, thank you to the hubby!) My husband and I can be quite picky when it comes to big purchases like this but you can see from the 5 star reviews here that Patrick comes off very accommodating but trustworthy. We felt the pricing was reasonable when comparing to online prices and you can get your setting customized here. He was not overly pushy but also gave honest feedback where needed. He recommended going with a bigger ring size than I thought I should go with but ultimately that was the right call given hands swell in the summer and there's no guarantee I'll lose weight (I was telling him I'm in the middle of losing weight lol... maybe too optimistic on my end?) I feel like that could be a sensitive topic for some women but he handled it well with light humor. The customized ring setting takes 3-4 weeks and resizing with fixing a diamond in the setting took about an hour. We came in unannounced the first time and Patrick invited us back the next weekend where he was able to show me the diamonds I wanted in the different carat sizes and cuts I wanted. I would highly recommend checking out Pro Gems and working with Patrick for any future engagement rings, anniversary rings, or any fine jewelry in general!!

Patrick spent some time explaining the basics of ring buying as well as the various prices of natural vs lab grown diamonds. I got to try on various bands as he placed different cuts weighing on top to help determine which "look" I felt worked best on me. We also gave him our budget and he was able to work with us in that range and deliver on making my perfect ring! I love wearing it out, it shines beautifully, and the fact that it was made the way I wanted it adds a really special touch to this ring. I would recommend giving this place a call and setting an appointment to at least see what they have to offer.

All their jewelry is eye-catching and timeless. Jeweltique is a small quiet shop, obscure in the Hong Kong shopping plaza. It's an appointment only kinda of place. You won't know it's there unless you were told that this place exists by word of mouth. No, it's not super exclusive, its not in a location of the plaza that gets a lot of foot traffic and it's just an old fashioned way of business. It's a family run business and this family knows jewelry. There's three generations of knowledge and trade here. I was referred here by a friend and man was I hesitant on sharing by writing this review. I wanted to keep this as my hidden gem (pun intended). I was shopping for gifts for my mother in law. Louisa was referred to me and helped me pick out some jade pieces. There's definitely no pressure to buy anything! I waltzed in, had some great complimentary services, tried on all their jewelry and chatted with Louisa and her mother about what I'm looking for. They were patient with me as I was assessing each piece and asked a lot of questions. Louisa's mother is an expert on pearls, jade, diamonds, etc! She helped me slip on my jade bracelet like a glove. For most of their jewelry, they have certificates. I was surprised that they have the official grading certificates for their jade! They stand by their quality at competitive prices. When you run your hands or fingers along their diamonds with the prongs, it's smooth and doesn't scratch your skin. When you look at their pieces, it's beautifully crafted and sturdy. I love the jade pieces and so does my mother law! Stay sparkly and glossy yelpers!

We stopped by Jeweltique the following week and it was a different from the experience than the other jewelry places. I mean, we went to quite a few unnamed mainstream stores, but we just loved Louisa. She has a gift to make you feel comfortable and at ease. After browsing at the many different styles and price points, my fiancé kicked me out of the shop and arranged a custom design. One of a kind engagement ring. Yes! Dominic has surprised me over the years with her jewelry and I always receive many compliments. Louisa has been an important part of our journey together and is definitely like family.
