The play structure is a bit pathetic. Needs updating and expansion for sure. Any child older than 2 will be bored in about 15 seconds. The only thing this place has going for it is the tree stumps which may be a temporary attraction. My son likes balancing on them and jumping from one to another. Once that's gone though, it's more of a park for grownups to take a stroll with a play structure nearby that no one uses.
This is definitely the first playground I've been to of the 20 or so I've reviewed that had an old beat up office chair sitting there. Quite an odd sight and makes the place look very low end.
This park is behind the back of a run down theater. If access was permitted from there, this would be a 1 star park for safety. Not having a dedicated entrance doesn't help either, a requirement for a safe playground. You need to know who's coming in and out. But with the tiny size of this place, I suppose it's less of a problem.
I do like that the one is the swings has an elevated portion for smaller kids to use. Not sure if that was intentional but it works out.
The hidden grassy field would be nice if the grass wasn't so long. I can imagine on a day any damper than this one, it would be quite muddy.
Definitely not a destination park unless you're looking for a private place to shoot up. read more
