Don't let a first glance fool you! Yes, okay so from the outside it does kind of look like fish tank shop and when you walk in the aesthetics don't absolutely amaze you. There are a couple of Chinese paper decorations on the wall, the carpet's never been changed and there's a crummy looking fish tank BUT if you can look past all that I promise it will be worth it.
You'll be greeted at the door by the owner who will show you to a table and provide you with menus. The food is at a very reasonable price and the taste is amazing! I ALWAYS look at the menu and ALWAYS get the sizzling Mongolian lamb (poor redundant menu). This is a family favourite restaurant and I've been coming here since I was about 4 years old (I'm now 28). They had a change of management in the middle there and the food has got even better since. As a family favourite it's no surprise that I always come here with family (sometimes just my grandparents and I and sometimes the whole clan). My grandpa always gets the sizzling garlic prawns and my grandmother gets the honey chicken, we get a large special fried rice and share it between us. Less than 10 minutes later we hear the sizzling of mine and my grandfather's meals and within 15 minutes after sitting down we're tucking into some really delicious food. There is always an overload of meat on the plates (including the prawns) and the flavours are to die for. The rice is quite large and comes with small bits of slivered, bbq pork and green peas. By the end of the meal you're absolutely stuffed on really good food.
Most likely due to the aesthetics the eat in restaurant is always quite quiet but they have a great take away service that runs from 4.30 - late. If you're not wanting to cook dinner tonight or are after something cheap and cheery stop by tonight, I guarantee you will be pleased! read more
