We are getting ready to sell our house, so we needed several relatively small tasks taken care of,…read moreincluding painting, toilet work, and some electrical issues. Instead of calling around and getting comps for each specialty, I decided on hiring a handyman who could (hopefully) do it all. I found Ethon via Yelp after he responded to my quote request in less than 15 minutes. I called him right away and he offered to do a walkthrough the next day in order to get me a quote ASAP. When he arrived at the house, he was professional, polite, and friendly, like a brother who happens to know his way around the house. No more than 48 hours went by before he messaged me his quote. It took a couple of visits before he completed all of the jobs we negotiated due to the electrical issue that needed some serious troubleshooting, but Ethon was happy to come back until the job was completed to his liking. We love the results. Overall, this was an extremely positive experience. Not only was the paint professional and our lighting fixed, but I feel like we also made a friend out of this. Ethon is all about customer service without making you feel like a customer.

Initially the owner was very responsive but he had difficulty getting permits from the city. Since we had already given him a deposit of $11,200 we tried to get him to do a smaller scale project. He became less and less responsive to the point that on April 3 2018 we asked for the return of our deposit. He first promised to return our money by April 13. When that came and went, I contacted him again. He said he had used our money for other projects and it was not available. He said he would pay us as soon as he completed the other projects and he received payment from them. It is now April 30 and he never even started the project and he still has our money with no indication we will ever get a refund.

When a shingle accidentally scratched my garage door. Instead of trying to rub it out you went ahead and hired a professional painter to repaint both garage doors. Not only that you wrapped my whole house in gutters for the inconvenience it's caused, instead of the original 3 gutters I had. Since the new gutters matched the garage doors and not the original paint on the house you went ahead and painted my eves and gables plus stained my wood and shutters. You and your guys made my house look brand new we really appreciate you going above and beyond. I highly recommend Brooke-Rae construction to all my friends for any home repairs or roofing needs.
