Yes, he has a great location, lots of parking ($5) and an office with impressive abstract paintings. What really sets him apart is THAT HE TRULY CARES AND CONSULTS WITH THE CLIENT 100%. Unlike my previous psychiatrists who would meet me for 15 minutes to glance at my chart and give me medication to try, Dr. Yang looked at everything, and I mean everything. He requested all past medical records to make a decision on which medications to suggest. He took into consideration my body's reactions to previous treatments and external factors. Had it not been for him I probably would not be alive. He met with me every two weeks for an hour, we would converse for 30 minutes, and go over medication and literature for the other half hour. He has completely honest about the pros and cons of each prescription, and if I was willing to try it. He never sugar coated anything, and I think that helped a lot. He also had a good idea on how my body would react, and he was always right. I am glad my friends helped me pay my initial consultation, and for Dr.Yang who did not turn me away but provided a payment plan for me after evaluation. Now I am enjoying my 30's and planning for the future. I did not think I would make it to see my 30th birthday before coming to Clarity Mental Health. This place goes beyond the call of duty for their patients. I always felt understood and respected on all levels. His office has a different entrance and exit for privacy and he never runs late, they answer all phone calls and I never had any problems with my pharmacy or paperwork. Extremely professional and trustworthy. Thanks to Dr.Yang, I am thriving and enjoying life today.

I almost don't know where to start with this review because Dr. Georgoulis is so incredibly amazing…read moreand has helped me in so many ways. I typically have always been able to handle high stress but unfortunately my stress turned into a very quick and crazy downward spiral of anxiety and insomnia. This is something I had never experienced and it was completely tearing me apart, I felt totally out of control. I found Dr. Georgoulis and although she was a far commute and also at a higher price point I had this feeling that she was going to help me.. After my first session with her I literally felt like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders. She is so incredibly easy to talk to and she really, really knows her stuff. She has the ability to gauge where you are and provide you with the necessary tools and challenges you need to move into a state of understanding and peace with yourself. She is straight-to-the point and each session has a schedule which I really appreciated. I suggest bringing a notebook because she gives you a lot of very helpful information in each session! I appreciated that she pushed me and reinforced in me the strength and courage I felt I was losing.. she's not one to baby you and I think that is one of the best things about her. She expects you to do the work and I'm telling you if you do it, you will see progress. Even after our second or third session she told me that she knew I was only going to need to see her for a total of 12 weeks or so.. it was hard for me to believe but sure enough she was right. She brings light to areas you didn't know needed attention and she guides you through your traumas and brings you to a new relationship within yourself. She truly cares deeply about her patients and I feel so lucky to have found her. If you're ready to do the work please don't hesitate to contact her, you won't regret it!! Thank you Dr. Georgoulis!!!

The purpose of this review is to inform others of their policies before engaging in their services…read more I spent a year and a half in bi-monthly sessions with one of their therapists. This review is not a critique of her ability as a therapist, but rather the manor in which they began strictly enforcing late rescheduling fees. Due to work, I had to reschedule(not cancel) an appointment approximately 38 hours before my scheduled time. Their policy is 48 hours. 3 days later I received a superbill for an automatic late charge fee of $200. When I asked about the charge, their response was curt and uncompromising. Because of this, I chose to part ways. I have never been charged such a fee by a health care provider. Once long term relationships are established with health care providers, it is generally assumed that there is a threshold, a certain amount of leniency/forgiveness in situations like this. For further context, my wife had previously been under long term care with their practice for over 13 years. I hope this helps others know what to expect when engaging with this office and practice.

My initial consultation (w/ Bethany) was canceled 3 minutes before the scheduled appointment time…read more As a mother of two children under two years old, I don't simply "show up" to appointments. I have to coordinate childcare, adjust feeding and nap schedules, arrange coverage, and plan my entire day around commitments like this. After making those arrangements and being fully prepared for the consultation, I received a last-minute cancellation with essentially no notice. While I understand that unexpected situations can arise, the way this was handled demonstrated a complete lack of respect for my time and the effort required to attend the appointment. An initial consultation is often a client's first impression of a business. Unfortunately, my first impression was disorganization, poor communication, and unprofessionalism. If a practice cannot reliably manage a scheduled consultation, it does not inspire confidence in the level of care and service they provide. I am deeply disappointed by the inconvenience and disregard shown to a prospective client. I would encourage this practice to reevaluate how they communicate with and respect the time of the people seeking their services.

Unfortunately, I had previously been of the opinion that I didn't need professional help because I could work things out on my own as I was highly educated, well-travelled and I mistakenly had an exaggerated understanding of my ability to understand myself and my problems. Six years after the suicide attempt, I became very depressed and decided it was either find competent help, or I would be back on the road to suicide. Within a relatively short time, Dr. Miklusak helped me recognize that I had repressed memories about my abusive father and weak mother for over 60 years. If someone had told me that they had repressed such crucial and grave memories, I would have doubted his or her sincerity. The realization of these many childhood experiences and Dr. Miklusak's expert guidance have completely changed by outlook and attitude about the potential life has to offer me. Of course, my sessions with Dr. Miklusak are far more complicated than just recognition of repressed memories, but the main point is that Dr. Miklusak's very high competence level and interpersonal skills completely changed my life from a daily experience of deep sadness to now waking up almost every morning excited to live that day. The main reason I had not sought psychiatric help in the past is because I had very little faith in a psychiatrist genuinely being able to help me. Dr. Miklusak proved me completely wrong about that opinion.

Dr Mizani is a miracle. When my therapist insisted I change…read morepsychiatrists from my last one to Mizani, I was reluctant because I thought "all psychiatrists kinda suck, I might as well deal with the one I have because it doesn't get much better." I have dealt with quite a few psychiatrists in my time, including at treatment centers; and all but her have supported this idea I had that psychiatrists have no emotional intelligence, but just a purely clinical view of the human brain and don't view patients as people to listen to but subjects to examine and push drugs on, always thinking they know better and saying insensitive things to invalidate my real struggles. But not her. She LISTENS. God, I have never met a psychiatrist who listens and really LISTENS like her. She cares what you have to say and takes everything you say seriously and into account before all of her carefully thought out decisions. She makes me feel seen, respected, taken seriously, cared for, and listened to. That's a rare find. And she really knows what she's talking about; her knowledge of psych and medication is very impressive beyond expectations. As soon as I started seeing her, she was able to immediately help what was wrong with my meds and change things around to the right mix. She always lays out multiple options (some containing adding meds, but always presenting alternatives and respecting any apprehension to meds), and takes the time to listen and weigh things out to whatever you feel is best for yourself. She helped refer me to mental health treatment in August when my depression was at its worst, and though the treatment was incredible, the psychiatrist there just couldn't compare. It reminded me of how lucky I am to have Dr Mizani, the best of the best. I have depression, anxiety, and a past of an eating disorder and she has been nothing but helpful and wise. These problems are big in my life but she has kept them under control like no other, and when they get less manageable, she finds the right solutions (like when she strongly encouraged me to go to treatment and provided those resources). Finding mental health professionals who know how to handle eating disorders and don't say totally triggering and incorrect things about them is surprisingly difficult, but she is one of the few who knows what she's doing and doesn't say triggering things. If you're struggling with your mental health and like me have fear around psychiatrists and their lack of emotional intelligence, please give Dr Mizani a try. She's different. She's gold.
