A scary framing story for Halloween....I just wish it wasn't true. I contacted Whitney to frame a…read morevintage poster from the 1920's that was my husbands. My husband passed away vey suddenly 2109 from brain cancer. He had saved for a couple of years to buy this poster, which was hand painted, and he never got to see it framed. The sentimental value of this poster was huge for me - on top of how expensive it was. Whitney said it would cost $2,655.18 to frame it - so yes, her services were very expensive, and I expected that her professionalism would match the price tag....it did not. All was fine in the beginning. I told Whiney that because it was so large, whoever framed it would need to also hang it or have someone hang it while they supervised . Whitney agreed and did a home visit to my place with her husband. They decided it was something a contractor should hang and said they would make arrangements. There were some delays in some shades getting installed at my house and I called Whitney and asked her if we should hang the poster or wait - the windows have 99 percent UV protection on them. She said it is best to wait. So when the shades get installed, I called her again. She said she would get something lined up with the contractor. After 5 weeks of not being given a date to hang the poster, Whitney then says well we had a date and because of the shade issue, she no longer feels an obligation to see her commitment to have it hung through.....you are going to notice a pattern in this story of things like this. I'm frustrated but just go about trying to find someone to hang it. From here everything goes sideways. The poster gets delivered to me (I hire someone who has a van to bring it to my house). When it arrives  none of corners of the frame match up  - and one corner is so badly askew that I can see the raw white wood that is under the painted part of the frame. I call Whitney and leave a message. When she calls back, she tries telling me that the comers not matching up is ok in her book, and her voice is shaking. I tell her I have talked with my previous framing person in another state, and he has said this is simply not true. She then bursts into tears and says, "I'm sorry you don't like my work", and quickly gets off the phone. I'm shocked by the response - it's so unprofessional. The next day I send a message asking for a calmer conversation to discuss solutions. Her husband calls me and he comes and gets the poster. Our conversation at my home is fine and calm. I get an email from Whiney saying when it is completed again, she would like me to come to the shop and approve the work and that she will pay to have the poster delivered. When I go to the shop the I bring a friend, and the framing is much better. But Whitey is aggressive and combative and I have no idea why, and then states she now won't deliver the poster because it is their busy season. My friend and I leave and I tell her I will send her an email - she is waving around a piece of paper she wants me to sign. I decline - she keeps shoving it towards me. We leave - and I'm so grateful to have a witness to this craziness. After some back and forth over email with me telling her I can't spend any more money on her broken promises, she finally agrees to deliver the poster, and says she will make the arrangements. And then the unthinkable happens....on October 30th, in the middle of a rain storm, unknown to me, she hires a man with a open bed pick up truck to bring my poster to me - yes, she and her husband loaded my husbands poster in a tarp in a rain storm in the back of a pick up truck where it was rained on for about an hour. Moisture got under the framing and the whole poster is now rippled. Her poor judgement and inability to control her emotions ruined my husband's dearly loved artwork. I have talked to two different framers who are appalled, I'm heartbroken. So use them at your own peril....what comes next for me in getting this remedied won't be pleasant, and will cost them quite a bit to make right, and given Whitney's unpredictable temperament, will most likely involve lawyers.

I would not have written this review if I hadn't had a significant other in the business,…read more"Picturesque Faming" and had some experience in that field. Back on Sept.16 I stopped in the store when I finally found it opened to place my order. Then yesterday (Oct 30th) I received my matting after calling, leaving messages and then stopping by to find the shop opened only to find my matting, which was being waited for, still in it's shipping wrapping and nothing done to it. That's when Whitney told me to wait and she would do it right then and there. But having another appointment I couldn't wait. That's when Whitney coldly told me, "that's what appointments are for!" I was afraid she'd rush the job and eventually that's what seemed to have happened. For the edging was not cleaning done. I know I was trying to "keep it local" and grimaced at the charge of $52.64 (especially when Hobby Lobby quoted $12 per mat or $24 for my job. Whitney back peddled and offered a $15.79 discount for a total of $36.85. After waiting for some input to say it's was ready, I called on 10/30 to which Whitney replied would you like to make that appointment now? I said YES! OK today at 2pm. I arrived at 1:55 and waited till 2:05 and was about to leave when Whitney showed up, frustrated but apologetic about being late. She backed it up saying she would have called if she had my cell number. I went in and she was obviously flustered and found the 2 matts and handed them to me. Not in a bag, but just handed over in their bare form, which I protected from the elements of rainy October weather (yes it was raining that Wednesday) under my coat. Upon coming home to 2 ladies who happened to be doing art work, I showed them the 2 matts, and they pointed out that the angles on the 2 matts were not equal in angle or size. If I hadn't been pressed for time I would have brought them back for a "redo". But it took 1 1/2 months to get these two pieces done, and I was afraid to ask. For I witnessed the same aggressive and combative behavior that I read in Am C.'s review in Whitney. I will always try to support local business, but such behavior and poor quality work doesn't make it for me. I should have moved on, except on that first day, she took the full amount, not half, which is normal, and I was stuck with my decisions. Live and learn.

We reached out to Coleman Creek about one year ago regarding a remodel and deck replacement…read more Unfortunately, after multiple messages we never received a call back. After this experience I left a review here on Yelp sharing my negative experience. I immediately received a message apologizing for the lack of follow-up "due to being busy." So, we talked to them about our needs and they assured us they would get us on the books for an estimate. Thus, I came here and deleted my review as they seemed very sincere. Well, after 1 year of calling them back several times, getting multiple excuses, and absolutely no progress and/or follow through we finally have given up. It is absolutely mind boggling to us that a company would blow off a customer willing to spend their money with them; especially people as patient and understanding as we are. It is really sad how Coleman Creek Construction has wasted our time. If this is how they manage the beginnings of a project, I hate to think how they manage the actual project and construction. We have since found another contractor that has been absolutely great and responsive. I advise you to do the same as your time will be wasted with empty promises and excuses.

Structural, walls, appliances, hvac, electrical plumbing and so on, this was a major undertaking. Of course although we promised ourselves that we would stick to the final plans we couldn't help ourselves and added numerous modifications to the house. We are finally nearing the end of this process, we lived in the house during the renovation which is always a hard thing to do but CCC kept the house as clean as was possible. So what do we think of CCC. Professional Skilled Quality of work was fantastic Punctual Organised We are thrilled with the result CCC may not be the cheapest builders in town but having worked with other builders in the past the extra cost, if any was well worth it A big thank you to Michael, Brian and especially to Josiah who managed the day to day process and was instrumental in performing so much of the works If you are considering building a new home or renovating an existing home in the Ashland area we would strongly recommend you consider CCC.

I asked for both larger and smaller digital photos printed and received prints that were in much lower quality than the originals; darker, less clear. Particularly the smaller prints were significantly less quality visually than the originals. I brought them back and showed them the same photos as printed by another company and was told that the other company possibly corrected the images. I contacted the other company and got confirmation that they had not corrected the photos and produced this to Studio 10. I also resubmitted my originals to them in a different format but again, very poor quality and unusable for my professional purposes. I asked for a refund of the smaller prints at least, but was told by staff that the owner would not refund because "no one else has complained about the quality." I asked to speak with the owner directly, but he refused to call me back or return my emails. Now I have to repurchase my prints from that other, non-local, company and toss out these done by API and am out the financial investment. I feel that this is theft and not a way to treat customers, especially locals. I will never patronize this business again as they do not stand by their work or the statement on their Website that says, "you can be sure Studio 10 will create the highest quality representations for photos, art, and business documents," nor will the owner even speak with you if you have any issue with the quality of their work and ask for a refund.
