Unfortunately, our family did not have a positive experience here. In feb we enrolled our son. The…read morefirst few days was a transition but he seems to enjoy it. However the next week during pick up, his eyes were puffy and I could tell he had been crying for some time. He stated one of the teachers (with black hair) hit him on his arm. I immediately spoke with the director Kim who had him point out who did it behind the two way mirror in her office. He pointed to the lady "in the green shirt with black hair". She was disappointed and in shock. Told me she'd have a talk with that teacher and get back. After not hearing back, I sent emails and made calls to her. Finally received an email stating "we have a hard time believing this happened" and a whole bunch of other non sense. My kid was so scared of this one teacher he would shut down on the drive there. We finally decided to pull him out a week later since "nothing" happened. Ms. Brenda is a great teacher, and it's seems as if Kim the director runs the place very well- but I think she should've handled this situation more seriously. Cooperate was contacted but haven't heard much since.

My husband and I absolutely love the Montessori program, and we have loved seeing how the children embrace every aspect of it as they grow. The teachers there have been wonderful, and my children literally skip in the door every morning. The educational activities, field trips, and life skills that they offer here are second to none. I have been especially impressed the past couple of years with the infant room teachers. They are truly the nicest people in the world, and my daughter adores them. This has made the transition from maternity leave to working full time so much easier! My oldest daughter started Kindergarten this past year in the public school system, but she rides the bus back to Step By Step in the afternoons for the school age program. She has excelled in Kindergarten thanks in large part to her Montessori training, and Step By Step remains a familiar respite for her to come to after school. The staff here are very agreeable and accommodating, and you can tell they truly love what they do because most of the teachers have been there for many years. I admire what they do, and I go to work every day knowing my children are not only receiving excellent care, but they are also growing academically, as well as socially each and every day!

My wife and I have two boys (4 and 1) who have attended Primrose since they were 4 months old. We…read morehave looked at more expensive options and less expensive options and are convinced that Primrose is the right place for our boys. I simply could not disagree more with the other reviewer. The education and development of my boys have been very impressive. The 4yr old was potty trained in just over 2 years. He can read, write and even speak limited Spanish at just over 4yrs. With the limited amount of time my wife and I have with him I firmly believe Primrose is to thank. This is despite some teacher turnover that occurred after a large competitor moved in down the street and actively attempted to recruit away their staff last year. Why did my sons development continue with little relative impact? The curriculum. It simply works. At this age it's the strong controls over what, when and how our children are taught that allows Primrose to be so successful at educating our children. That's not to takeaway from the excellent staff whom we do appreciate. In addition to the education there is also the social development. Our children are not only academically intelligent - they are also polite, caring, social and resilient. Their emotional development appears to be well beyond that of others their age. As I said earlier - with the limited amount of time we get to spend with our boys - I trust Primrose to help develop them into successful students and socially responsible children - and they haven't let me down.

You can tell the teachers love what they do and the kids learn so much here. The cook on site is such a huge bonus. There are many day cares including our current one that requests all meals are pre-made by parents. The great thing about this place is that they create a culture like no other between parents, teachers, kids, staff! We miss it a ton!!!
