It's got a light airy feel to it and green decor gives it a funky vibe. As regards the food, it is excellent and I quite surprised how good it was as I wasn't expecting all that much to be perfectly frank. I got a the 'Big West Fest' which was as hearty and filling as the name implies. My other half went for the baked eggs which she too thought were really good. I was further pleasantly surprised by the coffee which was also very good. We sat outside and though it was Saturday afternoon, there was a relaxed vibe there. I reckon this place would be more popular if more people knew about it. Personally, I think this cafe is a bit of a hidden gem and I am looking forward to having brunch there again at some stage.

This is a very good place to come for gifts, or to buy stuff for yourself, Allium stock brands and ranges that other stores do not or from international brands that would be risky to have delivered due to their fragile nature. The store merchandising is always fantastic though I suppose this is a give in considering it is owned by a designer. So if you're looking for inspiration and staff with the knowledge to help you get the look you're after or don't yet know you are after, give Allium a visit.

What better way to sip your warm frothy drink than surrounded by gorgeous flowers everywhere?…read more I ordered the ginger latte because it piqued my interest. It was definitely a good call! I've been craving another ever since. To eat I just had fruit bread with apricot jam. It was tasty, but I mean it's just toast so no big deal here. I wish their menu had a few more options, especially in the under $18 price range, as I wasn't in the mood for a pricey breakfast. The staff was so friendly. As I sat down on the world's comfiest bench seat, I plugged my charger in, noticed it wasn't charging, and the food runner caught my eye and turned on the power for that outlet just for me! This place definitely buzzes with people in and out from the surrounding businesses, but it still maintains a quiet atmosphere so you can hold a conversation or read a book. I'd like to go back for another ginger latte and to try one of their larger breakfast options!

It's a really good place to come if you are looking for a very 'kiwi' gift to send to friends and families overseas. And there's a whole lot of kauri/ wood ware. I mean a WHOLE lot. I had a disappointing experience with this store…read more I received my order and immediately noticed that the clothes had a very strong fragrance smell. Given that I ordered premium organic children's clothing, this was quite concerning and contrary to what many parents expect - minimal processing and no added scents. They also sell diffusers and candles, which may explain the scent contamination. I emailed the same day I received the package to request a return and refund. It then took a full week to receive a response, which simply instructed me to return the items to a warehouse address, with no clear process. I replied the same day asking reasonable questions -such as the warehouse opening hours, whether I could drop the items off in person. It has now been another week with no response. This was also confusing because their company policy states that online orders can be returned to any of their retail stores. This would have been far more convenient, as they have multiple locations with set opening hours and staff available, so you know you can actually speak to someone and have the return handled properly. Overall, the lack of communication, slow response times, and inconsistency with their stated return policy have been very frustrating. For a brand positioning itself as premium, I expected much better customer service and handling of returns. I would also caution other parents who prefer unscented, minimally treated baby clothing to keep this in mind when ordering.
