I would give them a zero review if I could. My first appointment with them was 6 months ago. They took X-rays but didn't clean my teeth. Dr Vilardo said that all of my teeth problems were due to sleep apnea. I had my second appt with them a few days ago. She had quit and opened up her own sleep clinic. They told to be 15 minutes early, so I was. 5 people came in after me, they were all called back before me. Dr Rogers told me that I needed four crowns. He said that if one of my tooth cracks, he would have to pull it and do a root canal. All of this work would cost me $4,000. I just went and had a second opinion from Dr Timothy Pohlman. He said that I didn't need any crowns. Dr Pohlman won America's top Dentist in 2025. He's out of network with me, that's the only reason I haven't been going to him. Now I don't care. I will pay out of pocket because he is honest and trustworthy. I would stay far away from Roger's. read more

Everything. My husband and I went to this dental practice for over 25 years. Over the past 5 years things have declined more and more. After Dr Rogers retired is when things really got bad. My last cleaning that I went to at Rogers family dentistry, the dentist examined my teeth and gums and told me all the things they wanted to do. He did two crowns, both of which I had to go back somewhere else and have a root canal done on both crowns, now I'm going to be in $6000 + for the one tooth that he kept saying he was not touching , but on the way home that filling fell out, my daughter had a root canal there and has had nothing but problems and I have talked to several other people, I think the father may have been a good dentist, but since the son took over, it has been horrible! So money hungry you would think the dental assistants make commission on products they insist you need that you don't. Front Office staff reads medical orders from January 2025 in May 2025 and tells you 3 teeth need pulled when he in reality only needed one (which i had to argue with her that it was only one tooth and that I had the May order in my hands but she insisted i was wrong) so since she gave us the wrong information my kid was put through unnecessary situations and multiple trpips to the orthodontist for wires that did not need to be removed and put back on. Sshe also said they only pull baby teeth before 9am because that's what's best for the dentist. When I got to the office for these "three" teeth that needed pulled I was then told it was only two teeth and they made me pay before the procedure was done, once we got back to the room the dental assistant said it was only one tooth not three or two and it wasnt even the same teeth that she insisted needed pulled. as a parent that makes you feel very unsure if they even pulled the correct tooth. On top of that they dentist pulled the tooth and when we got home i noticed a large part of the tooth was still stuck in his gums and nothing was communicated that she didnt get it all out... I have pictures. Then before that I had Two cavities filled on my 5-year-old and BOTH turned abscessed (and this was TWO different appointments) because they hit the nerve and killed the tooth each time.. which then I had to pay for two different spacers because they were her molars, and the space needed to remain open. My husband was told he had a large cavity and they needed him to come back to get it filled, they cancelled his appointment and never let him know so he took off work and when he got there they turned him away. When he went back the next time to finally get the cavity filled they couldnt locate the large cavity and sent him home with medical toothpaste that would cure the cavity on its own.... 1000% would not recommend or trust them with your children. Even your free cleaning cost your money because they find a way to add more to your bill or talk you into needed a $40 mouth wash for your gums when I have never had a cavity in my life and I am 36 years old. I would not recommend Rogers dentistry to no one. My entire family used to go there and we thought they were great, but that was all a façade as others said they pushed procedures, we didn't need just to make money. They once said I needed to have some dental work done and the price was in the thousands so I told them I would like a second opinion so knowing that they all went to Ohio State university dental school I chose to take the 2 Hour drive for a second opinion. What I discovered was well worth the 2 hour drive. After explaining the procedure to the staff at Ohio State and after a thorough review with x-rays and all the other things they do I discovered the procedure was not necessary. So that leaves one to guess why they tried to push a procedure that wasn't necessary. Was it incompetence was it money? Only they could answer that question but when confronted with that question, they had no answer, just the usual runaround answers that equal nothing. After that, and the typical long waits in the waiting room and the unfriendly staff at the front desk. We then started being billed for things that was not correct and when the staff could not answer the questions we were sent to the office manager who was just rude and unfriendly and uncooperative. We knew at that point we needed to find a new dentist and that's exactly what we did. I would avoid Rogers dentistry like it's the plague because they are better dentist in the area that do a much better job and it's not all about the money to them. I am updating my review after many years. I like the dentists. They are understaffed of hygienists. Only have 4 and 1 part time. 3 recently quit. Hard to to get an appointment for cleaning. No problem for treatments. They push to get work done to make more money especially in the fall to use your benefits. I have had numerous billing issues and charging 25 dollars for PPE over covid didn't seem right. Upset they I had to pay for treatment before they let me make an appointment. I have also had issues with some front desk people who arent friendly. Last cleaning this week they changed my hygienist who I specifically booked with because they are juggling schedules. Upset me since she was working thst day. They took a bad photo so dental insurance kept denying payment. I kept following up for 1 year with sides. Billing person lied to me multiple times that she was working on it and then quit. No records except that i owed. New person didnt get it resolved but i had to come in for new picture and they billed me for it. This doesnt seem right since they messed up. They are now pushing sleep study. Claims ada is pushing. Do not ever go to this dental practice!! After every procedure, I was required to go back multiple times so they could "fix" their mistakes. A crown took 3 visits and then my new dentist had to replace it completely because it was done so poorly. The desire to keep their pockets lined far outweighs any type of customer service at this practice. Requesting copies of my x-rays for my new dentist was a complete nightmare!! Each of my three email requests went without response. Each of my four phone calls were met with a different answer or excuse as to why the records were not transferred. We were with Rogers Dentistry for 7 + years. We were part of their loyalty plan for insurance and liked it. When Covid came along things went well for the first year ... we paid for loyalty plan since it was brought up at check out. 2021 was not the same. Had our normal 2 cleaning/check up appointments and followed their procedures with Covid. Then in January 2022 we got a bill for $395. for our cleaning visits. Their loyalty plan insurance was never mentioned and we were never billed. So got a call from their office manager/ billing manager and was told it was our responsibility to pay premium for loyalty plan. Long story short ... he was not easy to work with ... just wanted the money ... so we paid the $395 and cancelled or loyalty to Rogers and switched to another dentist. Rogers has serious problems ... can't keep hygienists... and all they care about is money. They raised price of loyalty plan from $650 to $850 per year. When I went in to pay the $395 you could feel the tension in the room. We would not recommend Rogers Dentistry to anyone. Especially after my wife had her first visit with our new dentist and he found issues that should have been addressed over 6 months ago after looking at our records from Rogers !! I started coming here as hours are extended. Dental hygienists are friendly. Dentists - eh. The ones I saw were friendly, just not personable. My boyfriend had to have some work done on his teeth - a few fillings were old and needed redone and a crown. He had his original fillings for YEARS. His new ones had to be redone twice within a year. His crown he had put on is already loose from his root canal. They offer to fix it for free, but why? I am utterly disappointed in your practice. I took my son there this morning because he has been having tooth pain on the right side. Staff were extremely rough with him this morning causing him to be more upset & now has a bruise on his right cheek! He is 6 years old and was scared. I was handed a brochure for Sea of Smiles by staff and got the hint. Needless to say I am switching to a more professional pediatric dentistry. Was told I needed 7 fillings in addition to the two they gave me. I went to a different dentist to get a second opinion. Not only do I only need two fillings, not 7, they said they would have to re-do the ones done by Rogers because they were done so poorly. I've been going here since I was a child, and always had a lot of anxiety due to them never remembering anything about my prior health conditions. But at my last visit I was told the well documented (and google-able even) symptoms of my diagnosis aren't real, that I didn't get a choice in how I treat my teeth, and that I needed 6+ procedures done only under sedation. I went for a second opinion at a highly recommended dentist and as it turns out I didn't need a single one of those procedures. He also actually knew what my conditions were and stated there was no reason to do what Rogers was (forcefully) recommending. Based on what I was told by multiple staff members during my routine visit this week, this practice is not encouraging nor facilitating vaccination efforts in our community and for their eligible staff. I was unsettled by the unfounded rationale for not getting vaccinated reported by every staff member I encountered during my visit. They were quite open about their belief in misinformation and conspiracy theories surrounding Covid-19 and vaccines. I've been going to Rogers' Family Dentistry for a few years. Pluses: They are generally on time for your appointment. The hygienists and dentists are friendly and competent. Minuses: They seem to be taking technology to extremes. They recently deployed a text reminder service. Within two days, I received 3 texts and a phone call reminding me about my appointment. When I complained to the receptionist that I thought that was excessive, the excuse was the text company is an outside firm. I don't care - it says it is coming from your practice, so the buck stops with you. Their computerized charting system also adds to my appointment time, because they chart while you sit there and wait. I understand charting and accurate records are part of your job, but it shouldn't add to my appointment time. I've also asked a few times (granted, always at the reception desk) what mechanisms they have in place to keep these electronic records safe, since they contain a great deal of personal information. I've never gotten a satisfactory response. Finally, I suppose this is the same everywhere, but scheduling appointments can be difficult. I've had to go beyond 6 months at times in order to get an appointment before work or near the end of the day, so I don't have to leave work in the middle of the day. read more

My son and I had to find a new dentist so we tried Rogers Family dentistry. Oh my gosh what a terrible mistake that was. I was given an estimate for $687 to fix my tooth which a crown had fallen off of. I had to pay for it before the work was done. I did that, and the work was done and I was happy until a bill came for an extra $900 that they say I owed. I about flipped out. I called my son in law who is my insurance agent and he called them. I also called them. I have spoken to 4 different people including the business manager and none of them can tell me why I have a bill after I've already paid the $687. One person from the business office said she found a $200 mistake on their part and took the bill down to $700. I was then told multiple times they would look into it and get back to me. Not one call back. My son had 2 teeth filled, and had to go back because he kept having headaches because his bite was not correct. When he left It still wasn't right. Being that I recently got health, dental, and vision insurance through my new employer, I scheduled an appointment at Roger's Family Dentistry to have a complete checkup and cleaning done. First off let me say that Dr. Nagy is amazing! I felt a lot of anxiety by having very very bad experiences with dentists in the past. Dr. Nagy calmed my nerves immediately. I appreciate that she was so thorough and was willing to explain to me what I should expect. I had to get a tooth pulled and it wasn't an experience similar to that. The wait staff is friendly, it's a relaxed atmosphere, and you've got yourself a satisfied patient. Check this practice out. I recommend them to friends and family I'm that satisfied. I was going to deduct one star because I didn't get my lollipop but I will let that one slide! read more

STAY AWAY!!!! I was forced to give the front desk staff my HSA account number, before they would place the crown. They told me that they would not charge my card, until the insurance pays. Long story short, they had trouble, on their end with getting the claim processed, and never told me. They tried to charge my card, without my consent and ever explaining the problem. My bridge (work done less than 2 years ago) chipped and I have to pay to get this fixed, because they have a warranty which is worthless. Shame on this new generation of practitioners at Rogers Family dentistry. My family had been going there for 30 years and the newest generation of practitioners certainly do not hold the torch. My severely handicapped sister was rejected by the practice for ongoing treatment because of an insurance change. She has been going there most of her life and the new personnel deemed her handicap to be not within their new financial profit gain margin. I believe Dr. Rogers Senior would be quite disgusted with how his family is running his business now. Persons answering the phone are equally unhelpful and unfriendly and everyone I was transfer to seemed to have a cold. When you're dealing with people and their health I would imagine having a severe cold outbreak in your office might be an issue so as to not infect the public. Altogether the office was dirty and the people were not friendly and the care has also suffered. Went to Rodgers for years when Dr, Rodgers senior was still there, ever since he left the place has gone down hill, His son Jim started working on me, He talked me into getting implants and said it would be 100 % covered ,till I got a n $800.00 bill. His answer was they must have changed somethng ??? I was already in the process so could not back out. he yelled at me and said you want me to write you a check now and you go somewhere else ?? who does that ?? He finished the process , I'd be in the chair for an hour and when he would finish he would just walk out with out saying a word of how things went. I had the worst time with this place. I needed to get a sign-off from a dentist before starting Invisalign and they made me get work done that I didn't need. After I got some crowns, I went to another dentist that said they weren't necessary and they were surprised by the appearance of the crowns. I also had a very rough root canal done that took much longer to recover than most people told me to expect. They give out free stuff for 5 star reviews (electric toothbrushes, etc) and refuse to take me off their email list over 2 years later. I went here because it was close to home but I would not go back. They also got some of my billing information wrong and it took 4+ phone calls to get it corrected and to stop getting bills in the mail that I didn't need to pay. read more

This practice should be put out of business. I will never recommend them to anyone. I was a patient for years, believing everything they said. I should of known from my first appt when they told me I needed four root canals with crowns, and that they could do it all in one day. It continued every time I went in that I "needed" more work. I have had dental care twice a year since a child and never had anything serious besides a couple fillings. I should of got a second opinion, but I was young and naive. I trusted them and wish I would of gone with my gut. After years of trying to "fix" my mouth all the work they had been doing started to fall apart. I went to a periodontist and another dentist. Both showed me on X-rays how the crowns they did were not properly seated and most likely I received a lot of unnecessary work. One of the crowns they did caused my tooth to break resulting in having to get an implant. I'm sick with how much time and money I have invested in my teeth. It's heartbreaking to think you trusted someone only to find out they are just bunch of crooks who could care less about their patients. Had appointment for cleaning. Hygienist went through her script about taking x-rays, full set of bitewings and a panoramic. I said no, I had no symptoms nor concerns. She checked with one of the dentists who said they wouldn't do the cleaning unless I submitted to the X-rays, "it's their policy"... I left and I am not going back. read more

Have had good experiences with most of the hygienists but have also had some strangely unprofessional ones. The desk staff is usually bordering on rude if not fully rude. Appointments are lost, reminders come unpredictably. Rescheduling feels shameful! The waiting room is stark and uninviting with 20 year old tv's and tattered, old magazines and a smattering of children's toys. The visit with the dentist is quick and cursory. "How are ya?
