I worked in restaurants, bars, hotels, and I'm currently a flight attendant, and I've had to check…read morepeople for ID occasionally because these establishments sell alcohol. It is far less serious for a sex shop to ask for ID (not going to kill someone with a dildo), but I can understand upholding the law. So, I walked into this shop and politely greeted the lady at the cashier. She was just giving me a dirty look and asked for my ID. I said okay, gave my driver's license, and she told me that she couldn't accept it. I asked her why, and she told me it could be fake. I said okay, well I have my health card. She told me no again. She said that no establishment accepts health cards as ID, which is completely false given my career. That's 2 valid pieces of ID. I then told her that okay, well if she doesn't accept those, I have a picture of my passport on my phone. She tells me she will not look at it or accept it. I asked her why, and she said I look too young and I had too many pieces of ID and now it's suspicious. What? Now also keep in mind; I'm 27 years old. She's denying the evidence in the 2 ID's I presented, and also my passport on my phone. I even offered to verify the accuracy with my Bank statements and pictures. She still told me no. She said I look too young. She didn't even want to look at my other forms of proof. You're legally allowed to deny service, but the fact that she's blaming it on the fact that I look young when I have so many forms of ID that prove otherwise, is really unprofessional. And I see other reviews that mention the same problem. I contacted customer service after and I told them the entire story. They got back to me in a week, and I was offered a gift card in exchange for my troubles. I accepted it, and they told me they would get back to me the next day on how to process it. It was a fake promise. They never got back to me. I didn't get a single thing after all that trouble. Disappointing. EDIT: Customer service has gotten back to me and officially gave me reimbursement for my troubles. I came back to the same shop and the same lady was super friendly and fun this time. She's also really knowledgeable about the toys there, give me plenty of suggestions and recommendations. I was pleasantly surprised. I'm still going to leave my story here because it was an annoying experience, but I'm thankful for their understanding.

We were told to go to our nearest Rogers Plus store to pick up our new equipment but not until the 9th, when the new package would start. Typically we'll receive an email confirmation of the changes made to my account but when we didn't receive it within a day or two, we gave them another call. We were assured that everything was there but that we probably would receive the email until the actual 'start date'. The day before the 9th, we had still not received the email and we called once again just to make sure everything was going as planned and once again, we were assured that everything was arranged and ready to go for the 9th. This is the closest Rogers Plus to us and we arrived shortly after lunch only to find out that the deal Rogers had offered us had expired on March 1st and there was no work order prepared.... say what now? The staff at this location did the best they could to get things sorted but in the long run, we had to call Rogers ourselves and have the offer reinstated. What a complete and utter waste of time. Thankfully this store has plenty of seating for disgruntled customers to make these types of calls. The girl that was helping us in the store kept checking with us to see how we were making out with Rogers on the phone and she had everything ready to go once the new plan was reinstated. 3.5 stars for the staff and service level we received at this store but only a 2 stars for Rogers for wasting our time with this nonsense.

Good For Her is a gold star example of what an adult, sex-positive store should be - none of that trashy big-boobed-mannequin-from-mainstream-porn crap. As a sexual health educator committed to non-judgmental and sex- and queer-positive services, I always recommend Good For Her to clients who are exploring sexual pleasure and broadening their sexual horizons. They offer a regular workshops for a whole variety of things like oral sex, open relationships, BDSM, etc etc. The store front is quaint with a pretty little picnic scene painted on the side of the house. If you look closely, you may find some discrete surprises :) The staff are knowledgeable, open and non-judgmental. The store is a great place to check out as long as you can be a little open-minded and mature... you might be surprised what it can introduce to you. I noticed that they had sexuality workshops and decided to attend one called Giving Good Head. I was intrigued that this class was sold out couple months in advance so I signed up right away. The workshop was being held at the store. The night of the workshop, I arrived at the store and was pleasantly surprised. It's a small store but it's homey, with free coffee and tea and comfy chairs to sample the books. The workshop was held upstairs. The instructor, Lorraine Hewitt (aka CoCo LaCreme), was great at making everyone feel comfortable and introducing her own exploration into sexuality. I actually learned some interesting things in the workshop (complete with handout!). I loved that everyone there, even if they felt silly, still took part in the workshop with enthusiasm. No one felt uncomfortable asking a question and it was good to have that camraderie with other people. During our break, the store was open for shopping and perusal. I was impressed by the Lorraine's knowledge of various products in the store. When I go into sex stores, I sometimes feel like the employees are just part-time student workers who may know some things but will mostly giggle at what you might ask. Lorraine was nice enough that you would feel comfortable asking her advice on a book or a solution to a problem. Being gay/lesbian/transgender-friendly just boosted the experience even more. All in all, it was a great experience. Whether you're taking it seriously or just as a fun night out solo or with the girls, Good For Her is a great environment to explore your sexual side.
