I visited this store for support with my iPhone 4.
Upon entering, there was one other "customer" in the store. After a few moments I realized it was a friend of the employee, and they were chatting socially. I approached the employee and his friend backed off, but he didn't leave. I STRONGLY believe I did not receive sufficient support because the employee was only interested in getting me out of the store so he could continue socializing.
I showed the employee the ways that my iPhone wasn't working. He said to go to the Apple store. I asked if there was anything Rogers could do, and he said no. He said it was definitely a hardware problem. I asked if he could contact technical support for me. He said no, and gave me a number to call. I don't think it was the right number, as when I got through to an agent they said, "Have you talked to technical support?" Ummmm... aren't you technical support?
I went to the Apple store and they solved my problems quickly and politely. They suggested that when I get home, I call Rogers and ask for my account to be "reset". When I called to request this service, the agent who I spoke to said that the problem I had experienced was a known problem on their end, that their staff had known about for more than twenty-four hours, and that would resolve itself shortly. The Apple store DID help, very much, but I feel bad using their time and resources for a problem that Rogers should have told me about.
I also don't understand why the Rogers employee didn't inform me of Rogers Handset Guarantee, as I should have been entitled to a free "repair" and a temporary replacement phone while my phone was in for repair. He didn't even mention this option- he just kept parroting, "Go to the Apple store. Go to the Apple store."
The business card for this store says Imagine Wireless. Rogers probably shouldn't franchise out their name to slack companies such as this. read more
