When Stride Rite closed in the mall, we needed somewhere to get the kids sized for their shoes. Thanks to mom group discussions, we learned of Rogan's. With a free Saturday morning, we did a big family trip to Rogan's. We were greeted by an employee and told them what we needed. In no time, we had the kids sized and found a number of shoes for the kids. Our youngest got a great pair of Stride Rite shoes along with a backup pair and structured sandals. We did the same thing with our eldest too. On top of it, we also bought two pairs of shoes for my husband who wore out his cheap Target pair. All in all, we had a successful shopping trip to Rogan's. Despite it being in an older strip mall setting, Rogan's delivers on a great variety of shoes and being able to size our kiddos for their growing feet. read more

No more quality men's dress shoes and I couldn't get a simple pair of white NB shoes. When I asked where the NB sections was, I was misdirected. Service also down the tubes. If you are thinking of buying 1pair and getting the second pair for 1/2 price beware it needs to be purchased within 10 days of the first pair. Also it's hard to find a shoe that qualifies for bogo. Off the list are: Nike, Adidas, Hoka, Brooks just to name a few of the 12 brands that don't qualify. They no longer honor the never ending bogo even if you have your receipt from before the buy out. Also they will no longer carry specialty shoes, such as court, tennis etc. I would have done one star but the cashier gave me 20% off because of the issue of the bogo. I'm done with Rogans Shoes. I bought a great pair of shoes, recommended by my podiatrist, last week. I was going to buy a 2nd pair to get on the BOGet one 1/2 off but they didn't have another the same size. I was told to save my receipt and come back after the truck came in with another delivery on Wednesday. I went in today, Thursday, found a pair and was denied the discount on the 2nd pair because last week they gave me a $5 discount on the first pair. Also the brand of shoe was just, in the last 24-48 hours, excluded from the deal. There was nothing the manager would do. I am beyond frustrated because I need the shoes my Dr recommended and they are hard to find. Don't expect business from me in the future. read more

TLDR: Had a very disappointing experience with this online retailer. They decided not to ship the shoes I had ordered, citing concerns about my shipping address. I won't be ordering shoes from them again. I ordered a pair of my favorite hiking shoes from Rogan's website, and had requested that they be sent to my partner's commercial shop. Rogan's had trouble confirming the address, so they contacted me. I spoke with two staff members via phone, confirmed the address, and provided my partner's residential address in case they had trouble shipping to the commercial address. The next day I got an email from the company stating they still could not confirm the address, and would not be able to ship the shoes. I called the company to find out how I could rectify the situation. During that call, they: 1) Expressed concern that I was taking advantage of their service 2) Suggested that I may have plans to resell the shoes internationally for a profit 3) Implied that I might be using an address in a state without sales tax to save money, and 4) Mentioned that they'd called the business next to my partner's shop to inquire about his business and me. (Felt like a violation of privacy.) I was shocked. Where did the suspicion come from? I'm a 38yo woman who loves to hike, and I was excited to receive a pair of my favorite waterproof hikers since my old ones are wearing out. I've never had trouble ordering items from any online retailer. Really disappointed. I won't be using Rogan's again. read more

I had roughly the same experience as another one star reviewer on here. When I called to find out why my order was abruptly cancelled, the service rep rudely said they did not "feel comfortable" with my address (huh?), then admonished me for not having replied to an email (that I did not even see)...When it turned out the state was incorrect for some reason (not the street, city or zip code, so could easily have been verified), she insinuated that I was trying to have $60 shoes sent to another state so as not to pay taxes on them (to an address that does not even exist!)....uh, okay, what?!... read more

I came in with my one year old wanting to get her little feet measured and to find some shoes! Everyone was beyond helpful and made the experience really great. My one year old is not a fan of shoes and they made sure she was comfortable the entire time! We left with three pairs of shoes for her and a pair for her aunt, who was pleasantly surprised by the selection they carry! Staff was great! We will be back read more

My entire family has been customers at this store for a long time, always a good selection and good prices, and I get most of my shoes here or in Kenosha or Buffalo Grove/Arlington Heights. I love that they will call other locations to locate and hold shoes for you. All their employees are friendly and helpful. I brought my mom to this store yesterday to look for boots and the sales person (I think her name was Emma) was so patient with her and spent a very long time looking with her and helping her try shoes and boots on. My husband and I have the worst luck shopping. We never seem to find anything that fits well and is in a style we like. We didn't have that experience at Rogan's and it was SUCH a relief! We left with 4 pairs of shoes, and we were restraining ourselves from buying more! They always have a buy any pair of shoes, get the second pair half-off deal. What a bargain! They have the brands we love like Merrill, Nike, Clarks and Birkenstock plus a ton more. Rogan's will definitely be my new go-to store for shoes. I assume the clock is ticking until these guys vacate this pretty much abandoned strip mall. Pros: Plenty of shoes to pick from, but pricing is a bit off, as you need to buy 2 pairs to really get a good deal. You can save the receipt to get the discount next time, but then you have to hold on to the receipt for a while.... The selection here is descent, but keep an eye out for the mfg date of gym shoes. Unlike Dick's and Sports Authority that track your purchases for potential warranty claims, its not done here. I had a pair of Nikes that lasted less than one season and Nike would not honor the claim, as the mfg date of the shoe was outside of the wty period and I did not have a receipt saved to show them that I actually had them for less than a year. We usually stop here for athletic shoes and kids shoes, as they do not carry any decent high end brands in mens shoes. Overall worth a stop here or their other location in Buffalo Grove read more

I went in for shoes for my toddler son. He's hard to shop for because of his wide feet. I was able to find a style I loved for him, at a great price. Weirdly located in what looks to be an abandoned strip mall, but packed to the gills with lots of high quality footwear. They carry nothing but top-notch brands for men, women and kids. Hiking boots, athletic shoes, dress shoes, casual, crocs ... great stuff at good prices. Never-ending buy-one-get-one-half-off deal makes this place worth a visit. They do have a large selection of shoes but I'm giving it a 2 stars because of the staff. The whole time I was there I felt like I was being watched constantly and I couldn't do my shopping comfortably. They made me feel like a criminal of some kind, as if I was going to shoplift or something. One of they're employees was scowling at me at one point and I just decided to leave. Sorry Rogans. Extremely disorganized. They have shoes on display but then other sizes are no where to be found. It appears as though they have a big selection but it's just a variety of styles and limited sizing stacked on top of each other. The staff just stand around and watch customers shop... maybe they should spend more time arranging their products so people can actually find what they are looking for. read more

I was able to find the hiking boots I wanted online at their site. I emailed them to see if the boots were available in my size at the Mundelein location.
