My wife and i decided not to purchase a house based on the results of the home inspection and were not able to get the listing broker to return our earnest money. Since we were out-of-state buyers, we followed the recommendations of our Berkshire Hathaway agent and her broker throughout the entire transaction and were assured that the sales agreement would protect us but it didn't. Shame on Berkshire Hathaway and shame on the real estate brokers association of Indiana!

We've sold 4 homes and honestly NEVER had a realtor (whether buying or selling) that we felt really confident with until now. We always felt a little "on our own" and unprotected because of our lack of knowledge in buying or selling from the legal prospective. But not this time. After much research we narrowed it down to three realtors to interview. James came so well prepared. He was confident and had a wealth of information but NEVER any pressure to get the listing. He even told us we should wait a few weeks to list. Spring was coming, things would green up, the house would look nicer then. So we waited. Best decision ever. It gave us the needed time to do the things that James recommended we do. His eye for detail is amazing whether helping us create a presentable home for sale to crossing every t or dotting every i in the contract process. He guided and protected OUR interests ALL throughout the process. He sold the house! And never once did we feel unsure or "on our own". Now our only problem is...James set the bar high for the realtor we have to find in purchasing a home in Florida. We will not pick the first one we speak with. We will study and interview agents to buy. And we will expect the same level of care and expertise from them. Oh I hope we can find one... Thank you James!!!
