This place is a strong 10. We had an issue on takeout order and they fixed the issue immediately…read more Since then everything we have gotten is A plus. I would send my own family and friends no questions asked. Family run and truly care for the customers. KUDOS TO FLURRYS! IF You live in the Flomo area it's a must! Michael

I have had Flurrys bookmarked for a while now and found myself in Flower Mound. I popped in to get…read morethe Flurrys burger. The prices on their bistro menu are good and a burger and fries are $13.50. I checked out at the counter and was told it would be about 10 minutes so I looked around at the butcher counter. I will admit, I got a little sticker shock. Their prices would make Whole Foods blush. One stuffed white mushroom for $3.50. It only went up from there. There were a lot of ready made meals and sides for a quick pick up, which I can see being very popular. They had some packaged tamales that claimed to be Hatch chili, but contain no hatch green chilies. At least not according to the ingredient list. Mixing poblanos and jalapenos and calling it Hatch, will get you run out of New Mexico. They also had an odd shelf with silk bonnets and derma razors. Just..odd. The young people at the counter were friendly and brought out my burger quickly. I took it outside to a nice shady spot and checked it out. It was my bad for missing the description that the fries are battered. That is not my preferred potato preparation. They were then seasoned with what tasted like Old Bay. They were hot and crispy, a bit greasy and I thought the flavor of potato was absent. The burger is 1/3lb. The quality of the meat was good, but I thought a bit under seasoned and over cooked. The veggies were fresh and I love when they shave the red onion. I did wish that there was some pickle or something with a tang to cut through the richness. The potato bun was nice and soft and the cheese was melted but didn't bring much in the flavor department. They get really good reviews and the service was great, I just think this isn't my taste.

As a pescatarian, I knew walking into this place that most of the store was going to be off-limits…read morefor me--walls of jerky from every animal imaginable, including some seriously wild exotic ones like alligator, ostrich, kangaroo, elk, venison, and buffalo. I wouldn't (and couldn't) eat half the things in there, but honestly, if I wasn't pescatarian, I'd be in heaven sampling all these crazy flavors. They have so many unique and bold options--it's overwhelming in the best way. The variety is insane, and the staff was super friendly about letting people try samples. That said, there were a couple of things I could actually enjoy! They have gourmet popcorn with fun twists like matcha and this "Dubai" style (chocolate + pistachio vibes, I think--super unique and tasty). I grabbed some of that and it was a nice surprise. Then there's the bug section... insects combined with lollipops? Like scorpions or crickets encased in candy? What the heck--it's wild and kind of fascinating to see. Not my thing at all, but it's such a quirky, memorable part of the store. If you're in the area, whether you're a meat-lover, adventurous eater, or just curious like me, this spot is a total must-stop. It's fun, over-the-top, and has something for everyone (or at least something to gawk at). Definitely worth the detour!

Fun shop in the stockyards. They offer samples. We picked up several packs of jerky, a mini bottle…read moreof wine to consume while shopping and some slap ya mama Bloody Mary mix which I hadn't seen before.
