Rodney & team are great! Darrick on his team is super professional, and the movers Rodney has working for him are extremely hard-working. They are familiar with how to disassemble/assemble anything - Darrick didn't even need to look at the instructions for our headboard. Wow, Be careful with this guy! Gives you a quote and then charges you double!!!! I was given a cash quote, saying no credit card. And at the end of the move he charged me double! They said they would take items to haul out, but then charged more for that also. At the end of the move one mover was extremely rude. The two main guys were very nice though. But Rodney needs not to quote a cash quote, and then change at end. Unfortunately I liked them before, but today's experience really upset me. Don't quote a cash number and then forget that's what you said! Bad Business! read more

It's hard to say how many stars a moving company should get. I mean, moving sucks. But I can't think of one single thing that went wrong the day we spent 7 hour with 3 of Rodney's movers. They did a great job getting my precious belongings 45 minutes northeast. Not one thing broke (we packed our own stuff). Definitely be realistic about how much stuff you have. Our 3 bedroom townhouse filled 2 large trucks and took 3 people 7hours. The price was fair and the guys knew what they were doing. They used furniture pads to protect everything and were gentle and careful with my things. What more can you ask for? read more

Recommended by city furniture, where we purchased our furniture 2 years ago. Aside from my furniture not being put back together properly, there is a new huge chip in the wood. They also left my new mattress folded like a taco in the hallway for several hours and my mattress is now ruined. After shelling out more than enough money for the movers, I was granted a wonderful $100 refund as of May 26th. It is 7/16 and they are STILL trying to argue with my refund. I used Rodney's relocation for a move two years ago. They did a great job and the price was very competitive, I then hired him for a few trash hauling jobs at a construction job site, and again a great job. Just hired him for my latest apartment move and again, I'm satisfied. This time around though, his prices were a bit higher, but he was transparent and upfront about all rates and fees involved in the job at the time of price quote, so I was not hit with anything unexpected and was treated fairly and honestly. Each time Rodney and his crew have been on time, professional, flexible (i had to change a time on them and they still fit me in at the end of the day), and everything was moved, quickly and without damage. I had 5 different quotes to unload my trailer in Plantation. They all wanted $400 with an hour travel charge. Rodney called gave me a quote for $255 for 2 hours 2 men. He worked with me as I didn't know when my trailer would show up. He stayed in contact with me and when my trailer arrived he was there within 2 hours. His guys did a fantastic job and finished under 2 hours. I will hire them again when my next load comes in. I would highly recommend his service! read more

Rodney's Relocation Service is the worst moving company I have ever encountered. I have moved multiple times in my life and have never experienced what they have done to my boyfriend and I. They moved a bed set of ours and also a Samsung 65 inch T.V. My boyfriend warned me before coming home from work of how horrible our walls looked stating that we needed to "Buy white paint because of all the scratches and marks they made on the wall." MIND YOU, this is a brand new three story town home we just moved into that no-one has ever lived in before. If that was not enough, they some how found a way to BREAK our T.V with an obvious mark of hitting some type of sharp edge that cracked our screen and ultimately broke our whole T.V. which we discovered right away. The evidence of hitting it was on the cardboard box they used as well which we still have as proof. We called the company to complain and the guys told the "Manager" and my boyfriend that he "doesn't remember" how he wrapped the T.V but was sure he was not the one who caused the damage. They are denying everything, and are not dealing with the matter in a professional way at all. We have had to get our attorney involved. City furniture recommended them to us and we called them as well and urged them to not recommend a company such as this to their customers unless they want customers to be highly disappointed. This company is not a genuine company and I would highly recommend to STAY FAR AWAY from it. If I could rate this place negative stars I would. read more

If I could give this company zero star for the service provided to us for a move to Canada from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, I would. Prior to hiring Rodney's Relocation Service, we had used them for a couple of deliveries within the city and were satisfied. However, hiring them to load our belongings into a UPACK truck was the biggest ever!!! In preparation, we had packed and boxed everything but 2 beds, a dresser, 2 chrome shelves, and a couple of TVs. We disclosed to Rodney himself that these items would have to be 'broken down' and packed and we agreed on a service fee. Then, on moving day, even though we paid for 3 men, only 21/2 showed up. The 3rd person was so inept, he cost us an additional hour to complete the loading. Second, they refused to break down the TV sets as agreed upon. Hubby and I had to do that ourselves. Third, they all became very rude, trying to stretch the move as long as they could. We had to call Rodney to report the attitude of his men towards us. Then, when got to our home in Canada, we were in for a shock. Number one, they did not tie anything down in the truck that was going to travel thousands of miles. Needless to say, quite a few things were broken/damaged. The table we place in the foyer is broken, and the centre table has deep scratches in it. Number two, we discovered that the hardware for the dresser and queen bed was missing! The buffoons did not pack them along with the respective items. Number three, items that were clearly marked 'fragile' were either placed under heavy items or just tossed on other boxes and quite a few glass items were broken. It was a very sad sight. These guys led by Alonzo are the most unprofessional people ever. Buyer beware. I do not recommend this company for anything, not even as street sweepers!!! read more

Glad we waited as we were able to complete a delivery that was tougher that i thought. Let me start by saying EXCELLENT EXCELLENT MOVERS. Rodney gave me an honest, competitive price. His men were so seamless in their work styles; they work like a well oiled machine!!! They finished my job (unpacking a totally full 16' POD) under 3 hours with 3 men, so I had no worries on them sponging the clock and trying to charge me extra. The gentleman took great care of my items by placing everything where I requested, stacked my storage room neatly, and assembled my canopy bed in 15-20 min flat! These guys moved all my items without putting one scratch on my wall or door. It was a pleasure finally working with honest, fair, and equitable movers!
