I had been getting blonde highlights for around a year (not through Claire) and it was wrecking my hair and it was needing a lot of maintenance so after chatting with Claire about it, and talking through the options, Claire took me back to better than my natural hair colour and I am beyond pleased with it. My 16 year old son even said how much better he liked it than my old colour - the fact I got a sentence out of him was incredible in itself but that it was about my hair! That shows how good a colour job it was! I cannot recommend Claire enough and I'm thrilled with my colour and with the fact that I have finally found a great hairdresser not far from me, who knows how to work with my hair and always does a fantastic cut.

My hairdresser was Selena and she did a great job, just a little bit rough with the combing, but apart from that I was impressed with my haircut. They had a number of clients coming and going and that's always a great sign. Its easy to get to and plenty of parking nearby and once you get there is very pleasant inside, all that you want a hairdresser to be, I mean they have places to wash your hair and seats so you can sit down while getting your lovely new haircut. I can say I will be back there for my next haircut and wine !!

I like that the senior staff at Toogees seem to stay in the business for the long term, which is quite reassuring. The atmosphere at Toogees is that of a very relaxed and chilled salon, and they usually play music anywhere from the 70's to the music of today. I would say that the cost is quite average, and about the going rate for hair, wash and cut would be around 45 dollars. Definitely going in a little nervous, worried and skeptical, I came out feeling completely the opposite. The staff knew exactly what I wanted and delivered more than I'd hoped for. They let me know what they were doing at every step of the way. And they were also really fast! Definitely a plus for me as I've been on salons for over three hours sometimes and it is not fun, there's only so many magazines you can read. I love this place and will definitely be back there next time. Really sorry to my other salon, but this place has seriously won my heart over.

My main reason for this review - my jacket got damaged by their air conditioning unit dripping onto the suede. A staff member had offered to take my jacket from me and hung it up on a for me, while I was seated at the mirror. I noticed later on that it had been moved from the peg she placed it on, when I went to get it. Picking up my jacket, I noticed it was sopping wet on one sleeve and at the back. I am very unhappy that staff not told me my jacket was wet when they moved it tor a different hook and placed a bucket on the ground, beneath the heavy drip. The store owner did not offer to get it dry cleaned. She wanted to dry it with a hair dryer. I had to push for any offer of discount due to my wet jacket. I was given $10 discount. I have just discovered at home now after drying my jacket naturally, that the jacket is badly stained, now that it is dry. I don't know if the mark will come out with dry cleaning. I am very disappointed that the owner was too tight with her money to offer to dry clean my expensive suede jacket when I was in the salon. She wanted to do the cheap easy way to use a hair dryer to dry it. I now have the fight to get them to get my jacket professionally cleaned. I am really not happy with their service.
