Saw a roach and my TV didn't work. Coffee was okay in the morning for breakfast. Had a washer and dryer in the lobby.

It's perfectly located right off 75 and surrounded by EVERYTHING food wise which is great for someone traveling in like myself. The hotel is VERY clean. I inspect and clean every hotel room I'm in before I do anything else and I was very impressed...no dust, no dirt, no hair on the bed/toilet, everything was up to par. The bed was wasn't the best I've slept in but it was fine. The TV had a good lineup of channels, the room has a fridge and microwave, coffee, nice size desk for work and an AWESOME shower. It was surprising quiet as well. You could here when the neighbors shut their door and the occasional bang from upstairs but it was perfectly quiet otherwise. This hotel offers free breakfast (which I did not get a chance to try) AND their own happy hour that's called the kick back (free food and drinks..including beer and wine) in the afternoon. Ive never seen a hotel with free alcohol that wasn't in Las Vegas. Free popcorn in the lobby. They have an indoor and outdoor pool, patio area and gym. I'm so happy my boss booked this hotel for me. I don't know if all the Drury Inns are like this but I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in this area.

We had probably the friendliest and most enthusiastic greeting when we walked in; or maybe it WAS the gift bag. Either way, it would be hard to be in a bad mood after this. We had been staying mostly at Hampton Inns because I like my included breakfast and I no longer qualify for that at other brands within the Hilton chain. But this location Hilton Garden Inn had a good enough price that I had to stay there. And I could always grab a fast food breakfast on my way out of town. We found a clean and comfortable room with all of the usual amenities such as refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker, microwave, desk, free internet, etc. The beds were very comfortable and when I stretched out just to rest after a day of weather and traffic, I quickly fell asleep. At checkout the next morning there were more friendly, smiling faces asking how our stay was...maybe it's just something in the water around here. We had a restful, comfortable stay and we left ready for another day of driving. I would definitely stay here again!

I then walked to the check-in counter and was greeted by not only a strong nauseating odor, but a "General Manager" named Rob who had no teeth and was wearing a sloppy, wrinkly dirty shirt with a name tag. I reluctantly checked in and was given a room on the third floor. I opened the door and was punched in the face by some nasty odor that just intensified the longer I stood in the room. The bed was uninviting, the lounge chair had gigantic stains, the shower was disgusting and the shower curtain had mold on the bottom. I spent about one minute in that room and went downstairs to return the key and demand a refund. I honestly cannot believe that this hotel is owned by Hilton Hotels. This one is good for its price point (around $100/nt for my stay). I'm tempted to "meehhhhhhh" it…read morebut I won't, I'm going to compare it to others in its class. I've also stayed in the TownPlace Suites in Findlay, the sister Marriott budget that's actually got suites. This location has hotel rooms. My mini fridge is the mini-est you can get without being a 6 pack electric cooler; barely fits a standard styrofoam takeout box. This isn't an impressive location for a Fairfield, nor is it a good location. It's on the corner of a busy 5-lane highway, next to the Kroger/Walmart and surrounded by a Honda dealership. The visual clutter and distraction of the dealership decor (big, tall tinsel at the time of my visit) made it visually challenging to figure out the parking lot entry on the first approach. Getting back out to the main highway is challenging, not super straightforward; either (1) you take a left out of parking and contend with Kroger patrons (both turning in and turning out) in your attempt to turn left onto the artery street less 100 yards from the traffic light, or (2) to turn right onto the main highway you go right out of parking into what feels like an alley, behind some buildings, and try to remember to turn just after the building instead of going too far and getting trapped in that parking lot. Neither option is a good one. The run-on sentence was making a point, and it was worth it. Inside: similar to the local TownPlace, not super inviting. There's no pull through entrance. You'll need to park in a space and walk in. It's rather dark inside, an effect of both the lack of lighting and a dark blue camo looking carpet. If poor lighting is a problem for you it's probably worth looking at another hotel (I don't recall the TownPlace being dark, but it's been a couple months). The room is basic and functional. There's an iron, full size ironing board, hair dryer. Little modular closet is fine for a week. There is a standalone 2-drawer bench that can - and should - double as a luggage rack since there's not one in the room. The bed is foam and soft, so check other places for spring mattresses if you need something firm. I use a super slim pillow and one of the 4 on my king bed was suitable. They are all 4 different so there should be something for everyone. Already mentioned the fridge is the teeniest size. Microwave is comparably small. Coffee machine is tiny with lots of single use plastic trash involved, so if you actually drink coffee maybe head downstairs or to a coffee shop instead (there's a breakfast/brunch place in the building just east of Fairfield, about 50 steps away, opens at 7).

The building is older, but was recently completely remodeled and looks great. The rooms are nicely done and very clean. They are also very quiet, thanks to the obvious solid construction years ago. Granted, Findlay itself doesn't have a lot going for itself, but it does have a few hotels and some food to eat, so I was good. I don't know what this hotel used to be but it's a Sure Stay now. Prices were lots cheaper then surrounding hotels and still within the city limits and not a far drive from Main street, dinner and the expressway. The room itself was $60, which is cool and half the price of the other places in town. Pulling in, it's an older motel and looks a bit tired on the outside. I think the owners and staff here are trying to revamp it, so that's good to know. The gentleman who checked me in was super nice, helpful and even gave me an upgrade to two queen beds AND let me check in half an hour early. The room itself is has been upgraded with all new items. Very well done! New paint, bedding, paintings on the wall, larger flat screen TV, microwave and fridge, etc. I had fresh towels and let me tell you, the place was quiet! No screaming children, weirdos lingering or any questionable behaviors. I felt safe here as a single traveler, which is important. I only have two issues with my experience. First, the fridge in the room was newer, but kept making a funny sound. It got rather annoying when I was trying to sleep and when I woke up. Minor? sure. It's not the end of the world. I could've asked for a room transfer but I was already settled in and only staying one night. Secondly, the outside needs more attention and upgrades. Yes, the rooms are great, but it needs more than paint. I sense their working on it, but between the weird fridge noises and the exterior needing some attention, I docked a star. Overall, a great experience and I would be back. The place is nice, affordable and if you're on a road trip, check this place out.

If I could give this hotel a ZERO, I would!!…read more I used Priceline to book this hotel while at home in California; it stated "No Refunds". That alone should've given me a clue that this was bad. Due to a family death, I had to be in Findlay during April 24-27, 2025. There was some event in Findlay, as all the normal inexpensive hotels were over-priced and over-booked. While I'd never stayed at this Red Roof Inn, I thought they had a "decent" brand name, so it would be OK for a few days. NOT the Case!! I had some questions about my stay. Because I could never connect with this hotel via telephone, I stopped by to speak with the Manager. So glad I did, because I saw drug activity in the parking lot. That said, I didn't want to stay there--my rental car would likely be broken into. When I tried to enter the front entryway, there was a homeless person sitting on its steps, so I had to walk around him. No offense to him, but I already didn't feel safe with the drug activity I'd seen at 12pm noon in the parking lot!! I waited at the front desk for almost 1.5 hours and NO Attendant whatsoever! I saw the Gen'l Mgr's business card, so I called him & no answer. I left a Voicemail--he NEVER returned my call! For my safety, I wanted to cancel my stay! Thankfully, a cousin of mine let me stay at her house, even though she had many other relatives staying there. Once I returned home, I called Priceline twice. They tried to work something out with the Gen'l Mgr, however he would NOT BUDGE!! That shows you he's NOT a good business man. I didn't stay there at all & he certainly took all my $243!! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do yourselves a favor and NEVER stay here! The worst place ever & the Gen'l Mgr does NOT care about you, the customer. Stay AWAY!!
