If you want your truck's light bar to be stolen, while being parked in front of the "security camera" that the hotel staff says is monitored all night, then go ahead and stay here. I was here one night and this happened. If you don't care about your belongings, the room was great, the bed had a few burn marks from people's cigarettes but you assume that will happen when paying this price. This place was absolutely filthy and smelled of urine. The sheets were dirty, the mattress stained. Having spent 26 years in the military, I have traveled extensively in the U.S. and overseas. Absolutely horrid customer service. We had issues with our booking which no doubt was frustrating but Brandy at the front desk was extremely rude. Cut me off each time I tried to explain our situation or ask a question. After I was then frustrated she raised her voice to talk over me and gave me attitude. Two stars instead of a one- only because we are still alive. This hotel needs to be shut down. We booked through hotels.com, and it looked simple, but for the price we thought it would be fine for a brief stopover. No way! We didn't stay and forfeited the cost of our room. We pulled in before dark and there were trucks full of sketchy people openly drinking and smoking weed in the parking lot. They stared us down as we made our way to the back entrance where our room as supposed to be. The back door stays propped open with a rock 24/7- which is a problem because the town is very depressed and drug infested. A man was standing there and said "nothing here works." We proceeded down a sketchy smoke filled hallway and up the stairs. It was dark and dirty. The room had no soap, half size ridiculous pillows and filthy bedding. There were also cigarette burns on the bedspreads. We left to find food and over dinner debated whether we should stay, or abandon ship. When we got back, it was dark. We had decided over dinner to give it a shot. But as we parked we saw a half clothed woman leaving the back door after taking money from a man standing in the hotel doorway. She proceeded to vomit in the lot as she put clothing back on and walked toward a 24 hour Chinese restaurant that shared the same parking lot. This hotel definitely hosts activities we wanted no part of. read more

If you can afford to stay somewhere else, do. While the room was adequately clean, there were broken lamps, burned out bulbs. No soap or shampoo was in the room. The WiFi was also out. When I inquired about the WiFi, the desk clerk said she had contacted the manager, who 'might' come by the next morning to reset it. The next morning? That's when we all check out. Since there is only 2 doors to the whole hotel and only the front is an 'entrance' we were told to prop open the fire exit with a rock or walk all the way around to the front from the parking lot. Hotel in need of repairs, complete with broken towel bar, missing light over the sink, water-stained mis-matched lampshades, smears and spots on the walls and a 3'x4' unpainted patch on the wall and another in the bathroom. Ceiling was water stained and shoddily patched. One bar of soap to shuttle between the bathroom sink (in the bedroom area) and the shower. The bedside lights were unplugged for some reason, so we had to move the bed and figure that out. And this was in the Suite, which is probably one of the more expensive rooms! The breakfast area was clean and neat. The free breakfast consisted of corn flakes, fruit loops, white toast and/or small muffins. The hotel is off the street, so it's pretty quiet at night. The surrounding neighborhood (mostly vacant lots) looked marginal, but parking lit lighting was good. Price was reasonable at about $60 with tax. If they would just clean, paint and patch properly, this could be a decent budget hotel. read more

Awful, horrible, no-good place! Do NOT go here. They stole two very expensive make-up tubes from my mother, valued at over $80. The place is filthy - hairs all over the bathroom and dirt all over the carpet. We stayed there for 4 nights and never once did I see a vacuum cleaner being used. Again, do NOT stay here unless you don't care about people stealing your things and seeing hair and dirt everywhere. By the way, we contacted Choice Hotels to report the theft, and they assured us that a manager from Rodeway Inn would contact us. They had advertized a suite which was not available when we got there. Wifi was not working. No elevators. Rooms were neat and tidy. Shabby and very basic. We have stayed at much better even at this low price. read more

Do not stay here!! We had been on the road for awhile and were tired and hungry. We stopped at a nice hotel/casino but they were booked so I booked Rodeway thru Priceline. BTW never trust Priceline. Rodeway was..plain and simple..a shithole. Not even worthy of one star but Yelp doesn't have minus stars. read more

Its hard to find the lobby is crappy and the lady is a fat liar. The rooms were ok though the shower curtains don't fit and the bathroom floor was about to cave in. They have DTV that's great. As usual the wifi was spotty. read more

I didn't even want to even give them a star. Customer service sucks. Our employees was staying here and needed a card authorization paper to be sent to them. They said they didn't have an email to receive this paperwork and the lady I talked to "Brandy?" Started yelling at us like we can't understand shit when we asked her if there's an alternative way we can do this since we don't have a fax machine. The GM was awful too. Jesus. The exterior of the building is being refinished. The interior needs a serious upgrade. I felt like I had time traveled back to the late '50s or early '60s. Everything is old and rather shabby. It's amazing to me that the Hilton Rewards representative would even recommend this place because the Hampton Inn in Los Alamos was full. I obviously made a mistake trusting the representative to send me to an equivalent property. Now I'm stuck here for a week while all the hotels in the Los Alamos area are full. read more

Awful place, hidden behind a Chinese restaurant in the "armpit" of New Mexico, Espanola. I only moved to stay here because my hostel in Santa Fe took only cash and I was running low, needed to use a CC. And I wanted to still be close to Taos and Jemez Springs. Granted, the room was clean, bed was comfy, and shower was fine. However, the Wi-fi was supposed to work in my room and did not ever work. I had to haul my laptop out to a table in the lobby to use it and finally got it to work OK. Also the hallway floors looked wet or damp the whole time I was there, and the employees were less than available when I wanted some service. It might be Ok for a dude travelling alone, but not for a couple on a nice vacay or a family. I will never go back. read more
