The menu is large and varied, full of tantalizing choices which made choosing difficult, but also helped to woo us into wanting to come back and try more of their delicious food. Both my meal and my friend's meal were rich and filling. They have a nice selection of wine. However, being poor university students we opted for the house wine. Despite being a house wine it was lovely, unlike some other places which serve you something slightly better than 2 buck chuck. The atmosphere was perfect. They had lovely old pictures hung tastefully on the walls and the music was mellow and made the meal a bit more pleasant. I would say without wine and desert it isn't too pricey for a one-off nice meal for a poor uni student(about 10 quid each), but if you want to go all out(and for me when I have Italian food I like to have it all) and have a meal, wine, and dessert it will be about 25 quid per person, but I'd say ever so worth the money. I can't wait to come back and try more of the lovely food!

We ordered Bellinis but were slightly disappointed as they weren't that fancy - but they were 2 4 1 so wasn't too bothered (2 cocktails for £7). Overall would definitely go back.

Palazzo in East Molesey is your quintessentially cheesy Italian. It is almost better known for its…read moreparty reputation that it is for the food. The food incidentally, is perfectly fine, nothing to write home about though. If you stick with the pizzas and pastas though, you will be happy. I wouldn't particularly recommend the fish dishes though, I have definitely had better elsewhere. Nonetheless, I have always had an entertaining time here. Whether that is due to the Italian waiters, one in particular who fancied himself as a bit of a comedian while he loomed over us with the worlds biggest pepper mill, or it could be because of what seems to end up happening on a Friday or Saturday night. The tables get pushed to one side, the worlds most horrendously cheesy music comes on, and everyone starts dancing. This is probably due to the fact that this restaurant loves catering for big groups, usually ladies on a night out. I like to think of myself as a non-cheesy individual who is above all this ladeez silliness, so I'm not sure how I came to find myself doing the conga round thetables at 1 am. It could have been due to the endless pinot grigio, or it could have just been that this is a fun place to come, as long as you let your 'cool' guard down.

Tony the owner had set up a lovely table for me in the corner by the singer and bar (handy!) and made me and my two guests who were already there very welcome indeed. Waiter straight over to take drinks order and when a a couple of my guests where late and the waiters were more than accomodating whilst waiting to take orders gave us some little 'complimentary tasters' which were divine. Sort of potato and cheese rolled in balls with breadcrumb coating. They then suggested that we could order some very reasonably priced anipasti platters whilst we were waiting for the other guests and before ordering main courses. These platters were amazing. Two mixed and one vegetarian lots of variety and more than enough to go round the 7 guests already there. With everyone in situ we ordered mains which were AMAZING!!!! Only negative I would have is that there was too much to eat. Me and a friend had scallops, the others had seabass, duck, seafood risotto and seafood pasta and pizza dishes. We bought wine at the bar with the very palatable house white being less then £12 which is extremely reasonable and when the food bill came it was very very reasonable and no service charge added unlike some restaurants where you are obliged and we did leave a very good tip. There was a male singer who was BRILLIANT with wonderful repetoire and when he stopped singing he turned into DJ with great selection of music. We all danced the night away and had a wonderful time. Resident gorgeous Italian waiter helped the girlies dance and the atmosphere was perfect for my birthday. TOTALLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT IT IS FABULOUS!!! Thanks Tony for another amazing night see you soon ;)

The restaurant was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday evening but that didn't take anything away from the quality of the meal. I guess it isn't well known, but I don't know. The bar area is nice with a large range of each spirits for personal preferences. The bar staff were very smart and good at making a wide range of cocktails for both men and women. I went for the godfather as it sounded and was the manliest cocktail I could find. They also serve pints though. The food itself was good quality, authentic tastes and the waiting staff were very friendly and attentive. There is a wide selection of antipasti to choose and share and a lot of pizza, pasta and salad options that catered to both meat lover like myself and vegetarians amongst us. Very light and classically Italian desserts on offer and all-round had a great experience! I am thinking out loud (by typing) but I wonder why they aren't getting the customer turnover. I wonder if they aren't getting the business they deserve because people feel more comfortable going to a well-known Italian chain such as Zizzi's which is just across the road? Not knocking Zizzi's by any means, but maybe people just choose to go to what they know. But I say: Take a risk, People!!
