I would never recommend this school to anyone. I am honestly disgusted by the lack of patience, care, compassion, and professionalism shown toward a 4-year-old child. My nephew started Pre-K and, after only ONE WEEK of trying to adjust to an entirely new school environment, they decided to remove him from the program because they considered him "disruptive."
He is FOUR. This was his first week. Instead of giving him time to adjust, making him feel comfortable, trying to understand him, or even sitting down with his parents to discuss their concerns and come up with a plan, they simply gave up on him and kicked him out.
If you choose to work in preschool, you should understand that every child is different. Some children need more time, attention, reassurance, and patience than others. The teachers here clearly are not equipped to handle young children who don't immediately fit into whatever mold they expect. There was no warmth, no nurturing, and no genuine effort to help this child transition into school.
And I will say this plainly: I feel race absolutely played a part in the way my nephew was treated. A young Black boy was labeled a problem and removed from school after ONE WEEK instead of being given patience, understanding, and an actual opportunity to adjust. That does not sit right with me at all.
If you're looking for a loving, patient, nurturing environment where your preschooler will actually be given a chance to grow and adjust, I would look elsewhere. read more
