Within days of purchase, the vehicle experienced serious mechanical issues, including being found with no oil within 72 hours, indicating the defect existed prior to sale. The vehicle is now inoperable and requires costly repairs estimated between $6,000-$8,000. The vehicle has repeatedly stalled, would not drive above 40 mph, and vibrates excessively, creating unsafe driving conditions. I was forced to pull over in traffic due to these issues. I am no longer willing to repair or keep this vehicle. I made multiple attempts to resolve this matter with the dealership, including requests to return or trade the vehicle based on guidance from my lender. I was given conflicting and inaccurate information regarding loan funding, which prevented me from canceling the deal in time. The dealership has failed to respond to my calls and emails, and I have not received promised reimbursements. The lender has also attempted to intervene since February 1, 2026. Despite this, no resolution has been provided. I have since sought assistance from an attorney, Bank of America, and consumer protection agencies. The vehicle was not in acceptable working condition at the time of sale, which is a breach of the implied warranty of merchantability under Georgia law. Due to the dealership's failure to provide a safe and operable vehicle or resolve the issue, I am requesting a full refund of my $1,000 down. Dr. Tonya B

I understand people unhappy with transactions are more likely to post than those with good experiences...and that's why I am here today. The vehicle I wanted was likely one of the least expensive vehicles on the lot. I advised that I would be flying in and would pick it up Saturday morning. Mike Goodall at Select advised me to call their car service when I landed and they would arrange for transportation to the dealership (didn't have to do this---didn't even know it was a possibility. Vehicle was cleaned and had a full tank of gas when I picked it up (other posts commented that this wasn't the case). Dealer advised they would overnight titling paperwork to my local DMW in Florida and that I would be able to register it in Florida the following week. I received confirmation of shipping from the dealer when it was sent, and the tag office called two days later and advised I could stop in anytime to complete the registration. I'm still waiting for the crap to hit the fan due to the reviews... Go and get my vehicle registered and have my vehicle tagged the following day. End of story. I'm not a fan of traveling more than 30 miles to buy a car, but when you're looking for a specific car and it's 500 miles away I hope your experience is as good as mine was with Select Luxury Cars. Every person I came into contact with at Luxury was courteous and professional. I highly recommend this dealership and encourage other customers with similar experiences to stand up for this dealership. Matt LaPlante

If you're looking for a dealership that perfectly blends incompetence, bait-and-switch tactics, and…read moreoutright absurd decision-making, Land Rover Gwinnett sets a new low... For context, I am a high-net-worth individual working as an investment banker and real estate developer, with multiple homes across the country. I am more than familiar with complex transactions, financing structures, and verification processes--there was nothing unusual or risky about my situation that would justify what followed. I attempted to purchase a used Range Rover remotely and initially negotiated what seemed like a straightforward deal: $1,500 off the sticker price if I used their in-house financing. That financing, by the way, came in at a laughable 12%. I secured my own financing through PenFed at a far more reasonable 6.50%, at which point--miraculously--they suddenly "found" another in-house lender willing to offer 6.75%. Convenient. But when I declined (because why wouldn't I stick with the better rate I already had?), they immediately yanked the $1,500 discount. A classic bait-and-switch move. Despite that nonsense, I was still willing to move forward with the purchase. Payment of over $100k was sent, everything was lined up, and then out of nowhere, their Finance Director called to inform me that they were "no longer comfortable" selling me the vehicle. Their reasoning? Allegedly "too many differing addresses" between my license, insurance, and shipping location. Never mind the fact that this was fully explained and verified. What followed was a series of increasingly frustrating and frankly ridiculous conversations. I got on calls with their management team, even looped in my lender for a conference call where my identity and details were confirmed in real time. Everything checked out. Any reasonable business would have proceeded with the sale. Not Land Rover Gwinnett. They still refused to release the vehicle. At that point, it stops being caution and starts being incompetence. The handling of this deal by Robert Vallejo and Daniel Yim was nothing short of mind-boggling. They didn't just lose a sale, they actively sabotaged one. Even more absurd? Weeks later, they ended up selling the Range Rover for less than what I had already paid for it... I would be FURIOUS if I was the owner of this dealership! It's hard to overstate how poorly this was handled. From shady financing games to inexplicable last-minute refusals, this experience was a masterclass in how not to run a dealership. Avoid at all costs.

Service Adviser Danniel told me the cost of reprogramming was $600 which I agreed to. Next day I got a call from him stating convertible top has a short circuit somewhere in the system so couldn't be reprogrammed until the short is fixed. He quoted $1300 for fixing short and reprogramming which I again obliged. Few days later, again got a call from Danniel that short was somewhere in the rear and would now cost $5000 to fix and reprogram. At this point I rejected since I wasn't sure whoever was working on my car had an actual clue as to what was wrong. I went to pick up my car and got an invoice of $1,055. I asked what that was for and was told for work done on vehicle. I asked why $1,055 since vehicle wasn't repaired and problem not solved. Then walked in, Service Director named Dylan Philips, who requested I come with him to his office with Danniel so we can resolve this. Dylan requested I pay $800 which I still refused while asking exactly what the money was for. Couldn't get any explanation other than "work done on vehicle". I made clear I was willing to pay for diagnostics and nothing more since no repairs or reprogramming was done. Dylan insisted the best he could do was $800 so I stood up to walk away. was at the door when Dylan started a 911 phone call, according to him "I pointed at him while talking", he lied that I was hostile and refused to leave after he asked me to leave. I noticed his attempt at mischief, so I started recording the unfolding situation just in case things got out of hand. The official invoice link texted to me detailing what was wrong at time of drop off and subsequent repairs carried out showed nothing done and has a zero balance. I believe this is an attempt to criminally extort me and also an attempt to intimidate by mischievous 911 call. No customer deserves to be treated this way!

My wife and I just left ALM Gwinnet with a horrible experience. We originally gravitated to ALM…read morebecause their website pricing seemed to be transparent including the Doc Fee and Electronic Filing Free up front in the price breakdown, making shopping simpler. We landed on a Hyundai Tuscon in Gwinnet. We found some similar models in the same model year for lower prices even with ~$10k less miles, so I called to see if we could negotiate a price that made sense out the door, including everything but tax, tag, and title. I have bought a lot of cars and I work in finance law, so I was very familiar with what language to use and what to ask for and clarified several times on the out the door price. They agreed to the price I asked for and I agreed to purchase over the phone. We even ran out credit before we left and put this vehicle on our insurance because we were driving 2 hours to receive this vehicle on a school night and had an 11 year old in tow. My wife really needed a vehicle soon though, so we bit the bullet and drove from Columbus. We negotiated to $18,020 for the vehicle out the door + tax, tag, title. When we arrived, the vehicle not only had doc fees and Electronic filing fees added to the $18k for another $1100, but also added a "paint fee" and "trusted dealer" fee both in the range of $1k being cooked into the price. When I called this out, the sales/finance person tried to talk me in a circle to how this math made sense. I teach finance math and finance law to corporate banks for a living, so it was complete nonsense and I called it out as such. He tried to argue that 18k was prior to doc and filing fee which would have meant I was negotiating against myself and the advertised price including fees on the website (up to $19.1k). They eventually reduced the price to within $400 of our negotiated price, but I was not budging on what we had negotiated at that point. We wife and child and I were sitting there frustrated while they went back and forth with the managers that weren't on site. I even asked to speak to upper management myself to make a case that we were put out and this needed to be made right. They didn't honor the price. If this had happened to a more vulnerable person that didn't understand what was going on, they would have fleeced them for nearly $3k over the advertised price. We left on principal at that point because I hate dishonesty in sales. If you left this dealership paying fees that you don't understand, you may be entitled to compensation and this dealership becoming censured. Go to the website below and file a case. A state lawyer will be assigned to your case and may return funds to you in the event that you were scammed for nonsense fees. I truly hope no one ever has to go through this. I recently bought a vehicle from this location, and while my salesperson Kevin was actually pretty…read moredecent and seemed like he meant well, the experience took a sharp turn for the worse once the sale was done. Before finalizing the deal, I made it very clear that I was only moving forward if the vehicle came with a working charger. Well, I got the car -- but the charger doesn't work at all. That's bad enough, but what's worse is how everything was handled after. I tried reaching out multiple times -- called at least 4 or 5 times -- just to speak with a manager. No response. When I finally got through to Nubian M. Holmes, who is apparently the Sales Manager, I was completely shocked by how rude and unprofessional he was. Instead of trying to help or even just listen, he brushed off the situation, offered no solutions, and actually told me: "If you're not happy, just bring the car back. We'll be waiting." Who says that to a customer? It wasn't just dismissive -- it was disrespectful. No accountability, no effort to make it right. Just pure ego and attitude. I honestly couldn't believe it. Let me be clear: this isn't about the car. It's about how they treat people after they get your money. That's when the mask comes off. And if this is the kind of leadership they have running the place, it explains a lot. The sales team might seem helpful at first, but once the papers are signed, you're on your own. No one will care. No one will help. And if something goes wrong? Good luck even getting a call back. Trust your gut and shop somewhere else. I wish I had.

After getting it towed and looked at by a mechanic, they said it was something with the engine so that car was done. April 2024, I purchased a 2016 ford escape. I put 3000 down and also had to pay a 900 pickup fee a week later. When I got to the gas station the day I purchased it the car shut down they had to come help me get it started again. Two days later the check engine light came on and they "fixed" it. When they returned the car it smelled like gasoline, they said to drive the car the smell would "burn" off. Then they asked me to bring the car in so they can check it out. 8 months later now the car is not drivable. Check engine light back on engine is done, car still smelling like its going to blow up at any minute. I called them again they said they would have their mechanic look at it. I've been calling them for 2 weeks no response. I finally go up there and they say the mechanic is on break and to call in 2 days. Two days later Amir calls me and he is saying its nothing he can do. My note was $500 a month and I put 3000 down less than a year ago and you're telling me its NOTHING you can do. Then he went on to tell me how his OWN CAR is having problems so now I think they are running some type of SCAM. Be cautious -- misleading pricing and customer service concerns…read more I visited this location for an oil change and experienced multiple instances of inconsistent and unclear pricing information. Navi initially told me there were no promotions below $79.95 and that oil changes were over $100. I informed him that I had a $29.95 coupon, but he stated that prices had increased and that the coupon would not be honored. I left and returned with the coupon for verification. After reviewing it, Navi stated there would be an additional $18 plus taxes. When I asked for clarification, he stated that the amount was similar to what I had paid previously, referenced fine print about prices varying by location, and stated that the coupon reflected last year's pricing. The coupon had an expiration date of 2/16/26, was still valid, and had been received in the mail only weeks earlier. The back of the flyer specifically listed the Gwinnett Place location, so the explanation regarding a different location did not appear applicable. I requested to speak with a manager. Navi stated that there was no manager on site. After requesting again, I was directed to another employee, Marcus, who stated the lowest price they would offer was $40. I was then returned to Navi. Although the flyer notes that fees and taxes may be additional, no clear explanation was provided for the added fee. At that point, the final pricing remained unclear. Navi required me to sign the coupon with a handwritten price of $40. I noted that he had earlier stated there were no promotions under $80, and he responded dismissively, stating that "they are not Nissan." I had a 2:00 PM appointment and requested a courtesy shuttle. Navi stated the driver would not be available for approximately 45 minutes. I confirmed that I still wanted the shuttle. After 45 minutes, I was told the service was nearly complete and that the vehicle only needed to be washed. Approximately 35 minutes later, I was informed the vehicle was ready, and the courtesy shuttle was never provided. Ultimately, I paid $40 even with no taxes after an additional discount. However, due to the inconsistent information, lack of clear explanations, and overall handling of the situation, I am sharing this experience for transparency. I am requesting a response from corporate management to review this location's pricing disclosures, coupon-honoring practices, and customer service procedures.
