I was in line to make a turn from Winter Street in Chinatown onto 11th traveling north. Traffic was jammed, and when I finally caught a chance to turn, I probably followed the car in front of me without a proper full stop. Then I crossed Vine St Expressway as quickly as possible. I police car that was sitting on the side immediately followed me and with lights on. I pulled over and Officer Wang came to my window. I already had my license, insurance and registration in hand. He was MORE than courteous and explained to me what he witnessed. He could have given me a substantial ticket, which really would have ruined my day and cost me a fortune, but he was KIND enough to let me go with a strong verbal warning. He wished me a good day and left. If every police officer acted like this towards the public, we'd all be living in a much, much better place. Kudos to Officer Wang from the 6th District. Professional, courteous and kind.

(Will not say his last name fo obvious reasons). i asked him how he knows this officer and he told me that the officer has on several occasions given him a "cool kid patrol ride" after his school activities, typically him and friends play at the park until 630 or so (short distance from the house). Recently his behavior has been reclusive and tempered, when confronted stated "Officer Dan is not who I thought he was, and he no longer thinks of him as a hero as Dan would call himself. I called and was told an officer would call me back. 20 minutes go by with no call back and I call 911. They tell me I have to wait longer than that and they cant tell me how long it will take. Immediately after I get a phone call. They tell me to come down to the station because it's not an emergency. But y'all told me to call 911? I go to the district and they of course don't help. About a week ago, a woman screaming on 16th street was reported to the district. Police responded (probably an hour later) to a sound block and no signs of suspicion. The next day, it was found out she was killed on that very same block the call was made. Whatever your situation is, these cops won't take you seriously. You're better off handling the issue yourself. Don't rely on them even as you take your last breathes.

I live in an apartment and even…read morethough I witnessed a tenant trying to break into my neighbor's apartment, they took forever to come to the apartment and then wouldn't even talk to the tenant who tried to break in who has mental issues and a history of doing this!!! And the apartment he was trying to break into had a young girl by herself home alone. They were completely incompetent and gaslighting saying, "what do you want us to do? He didn't break in?" Maybe get off your lazy ass and go talk to him! Not only were they completely dismissive but so was their Sergeant. We pay WAY too much in taxes to have such a shifty police department! We also have a tenant that was drunk driving and they let him pull into our building and let him off. What!?!?! Who does that! He could kill someone!!!! And then when a tenant was passed out and urinating in our laundry room, they came and took her word for it: "she messed up her meds." This woman clearly has a history of substance use and needs help! Not to be enabled, which they're too lazy to do their job, they let anyone off. It's going to take a major catastrophe or law suit for these idiots to get it together. They are terrible!
