And I opened the account simply for convenience as the branches are spaced across the South Shore where I frequent. The best thing I have experienced here is the customer service. Friendly, professional people help you out with whatever services you may need. No one turns their head, pretending to not see you! This makes it easy to get in & get out, particularly during the pandemic. At my local branch, the interior is still locked with the lobby ATM open. Twice now, while paused in what I was doing, bank personnel have opened the door to see if I needed assistance (i did). Just opened the door without me banging on it! Like - I was a customer who needed help! The ATM gives $10 bills, the employees are helpful & courteous and they give a decent rate of interest. My short wish list is checked off at CHB!

Any idiot wouldn't send a customer away empty handed without offering a seat inside while they wait at least. Simple courtesy alone. The whole clearance thing I've never personally ran into in 30+years banking with many small banks such as this. Very few locations spread clear across opposing ends of the commonwealth. Not a fan.

When making the switch, I essentially mirrored the accounts I had at my previous bank and set everything up with Arise. I enrolled in online banking, set up direct deposit, bill pay, automated transfers, and the other services I regularly use. Everything has been working well, and the transition was much easier than I expected. The main reason I decided to switch was convenience. My previous bank was located in Cambridge, which is no longer convenient for me. Before making a change, I spent some time researching local banks and credit unions and ultimately landed on Arise. Their competitive high-yield rates were also a big factor in my decision. I'm a huge advocate of online banking and do the vast majority of my banking digitally, so the online experience is especially important to me. The current platform has been working well for what I need, and I'm particularly interested to see the new digital banking platform Arise is planning to roll out this fall. From what they've announced, it sounds like they're making a significant investment in improving the online and mobile banking experience, which I'm looking forward to. So far, I'm very pleased with the move. The combination of convenient locations, competitive rates, and the banking features I need has made Arise a great fit for me. I'm giving Arise four stars for now simply because I'm still a relatively new member and would like to spend more time with them before giving a full five-star rating. I'm also looking forward to seeing how the new digital banking platform turns out. If my experience continues the way it has so far, I could certainly see myself updating this to five stars down the road.

In general I've been treated very discourteously by their mortgage dept. and their on line banking dept. The straw that broke the camels back was just recently when they tried to take an "overdraft" penalty payment over a weekend seeing that it might happen on a Monday while not allowing an auto deposit that would have covered it. When these people were Brockton Credit Union they were they were customer oriented and helpful. Now that they've grown in to a full blown bank all of that has gone out the window and I'm done with them.

My account went overdrawn while working to change things over to a new bank and they charge you for the fees...makes sense. One day I checked and they charged me 6 times at once. So I call and I tell the very rude lady on the phone that I'm taking care of it and I have already switched the bill to my new account. I'm not sure why they keep trying to take it out of this account but in the meantime could you help me stop these fees from coming out. She said no as quick and rude as possible. My Rockland Trust debit card information was stolen and used by someone in another state to make a…read morepurchase of nearly $1,000.00 I was sent a text message from Rockland Trust on that day asking me if I made this purchase, to which I replied "NO", and the card was subsequently frozen and my account was given a provisional credit for that $1,000.00 fraudulent purchase. Fast forward 3 months later, and the provisional credit I had been given was then RESCINDED by Rockland Trust, and I was told they had been given "proof" by the merchant where the fraudulent transaction occurred that it was not fraudulent, despite the fact that the bank itself CONTACTED me that day when the purchase was made as they suspected it to be fraudulent. Now Rockland Trust is telling me there is "nothing more we can do", despite having already being able to provide me a credit for the fraudulent purchase that they TOLD me about the moment it happened. I will very likely be taking my business elsewhere entirely and never banking here again because of this complete failure, on Rockland Trust's part, to protect me and my financial security despite every indication and piece of evidence they had to do so.
