I would give no star if I can. I usually do not write reviews. But this dental office is so bad that I felt I need to warn the others. I have been going to this dental office for more than 10 years. After a few different hygienists, I finally found the one I like to stay with and I was willing to wait for a year for the appointment. But unfortunately when I need to reschedule the apppointment which I have been waiting for a year due to a sudden trip out of town, they further moved my appointment out for another 8 months. Also during the entire year of being on the waitlist, I have never ever received a call from them. If they are this busy, I think they really don't need my business or anyone else's business. So I am leaving them regretably after so many years and my warning to all is that stay away from this dental office! read more

My family were patients at this office for about three years. In that time, they provided clean, modern dental care, and the work they did was fine. Toward the end of our time there, we found them to be more and more disorganized, with poor communication between the office, the clinical staff, and us. We left their practice after we noticed the decline in service and are now happily seeing a new dentist nearby. The two star review I'm writing now is because after two years of stress and frustration, I have just written the final check of paying over $3,000 out of pocket for a treatment we could have done for less than $300 elsewhere had we received better guidance. If you've read this far, here it goes. My wife has had a bridge on her front teeth since she was a kid. At a routine checkup, Dr. Osorio noticed that she had the start of some decay behind her bridge. He first recommended getting implants with studs, which would have cost thousands more than replacing the bridge. My wife was happy enough to stick with the bridge she had always had, so that's what we decided to do. The estimate for the work was over $3K, but the office said our insurance should provide coverage so we wouldn't foot the whole bill ourselves. We called Cigna, they explained their coverage, and it sounded like we were all good. Rockingham Dental said that if we wanted to be sure we could get a pre-treatment review, but having called Cigna ourselves and having been told by their office that they expect Cigna to cover the work, we felt good about moving forward. Here we are two years later, having spent over ten hours on phone with Cigna and Rockingham Dental, written two letters of appeal, and done everything within our power, and I just wrote my final check for $909. In my many phone conversations with their billing department, Rockingham Dental made it clear that legally it is our obligation to make sure our insurance will cover whatever we do. I take no issue with this. My complaint, and my reason for the two stars, is that if they had simply asked us when my wife had her bridge worked on most recently we could have avoided the $3K we ended up paying. At the time we were recommended to have work done on her bridge, my wife had dental coverage in another country where they could have done the same procedure for a fraction of the cost, and we were planning to ravel there in a few months anyway. However, on the recommendation of Rockingham Dental we got the work done with them, expecting to have our insurance cover the procedure. They did not, because she had had work done within the five-year window, which we had no idea would be an issue. With one question and a little guidance, we could have avoided this whole mess. To sum up, they have a nice, modern office and do fine dental work, but I do not believe they provided us the guidance we needed to make the decision that was best for us -- and boy have we paid for it! read more

I had been living with 2 terribly placed crowns for over 10years. Dr. Neuenhaus pulled through insurance approvals for the complete removal and replacement of the problem crowns. He spent the time to understand my issue and the pain I was feeling, where other dentists shrugged it off as nothing showed up on the x-rays. He expertly removed and installed the crowns and I am no longer in pain. I am so glad I found Dr. Neuenhaus. He is an expert at dental work and he really listens to the patient. He did a meticulous job matching the spacing so that the new crowns feel natural and real. I am forever grateful and would rate him a 10 out of 10. read more

Do yourself a favor - stay far away from this dental practice. Here's why: 1. I told them what insurance I had when I first called to make an appointment (I am new to the area and I was a new patient). Come to find out after checking my dental benefits online, they had me see a dentist that wasnt even accepting my insurance so I was only having 70% of the services covered!!!!!!! Sadly I found this out after I had all the work done. Their excuse "well, he is going to be working with MetLife soon, he just hasnt submitted all of his paperwork yet". So Ok, I have to pay out of my pocket now because of paperwork on your end? Something is really really wrong here. 2. I went in for a cleaning. I was told I needed a scaling. I then was told after the scaling (and xrays) that I had 7 cavities. I made an appt to come back and get 3 taken care of. 2wks later I come back and get 3 fillings. 2wks after that Im still in pain, I call and tell them, I come back in to get it checked out and they told me that the filling didnt stay intact after I left and a piece was missing, so they put some sort of a bond on the tooth. At no charge according to them (this was later submitted to my insurance company.) Here we are months after the filling was done and then fixed, I still have pain and severe sensitivity to cold/hot. 3. At my first appointment I told the dentist about a tooth that was killing me, he told me that nothing was wrong with it - according to the xray and his examination of the tooth - and attributed the pain to my TMJ (very mild TMJ). The tooth then turned so severly painful I demanded to be seen by another dentist in the practice for a 2nd opinion - turns out - the tooth is fractured. And now this dentist is telling me there is nothing to until it cracks and falls apart. Im sorry, but Im pretty sure you cant save a fractured tooth - and that is has to be pulled. There was to be no charge for this visit either, but of course they submitted the claim to my insurance company. 4. I finally got my cleaning, after all of this was said and done. They were HOT to get my other four cavities filled though. Gotta make that dough! 5. After its all said and done, I checked the claims on my benefits website. Not only did they submit claims for visits they said were to be "no charge" (no charge to me, but sure, exhaust my dental benefit for the year) - but.....they submitted claims that Ive seen every dentist in the group (there are 5) when I have only seen two. Weird. And of course when I ask them about this , they come up with some weird excuse like - "sometimes we do that - for the reason of insurance and what not" - this made zero sense. Whatever, I dont care. At least THOSE docs were part of my dental plan. So here I am, still in pain, with both teeth. The filled ones and the fractured tooth they never noticed. Dental benefits pretty much tapped for the year. I found out that the dentist that screwed up my mouth has only been a dentist for 2yrs...he got quite defensive when I told him I wanted to see a 2nd opinion. Guilty conscious? read more

My family and I have been coming here for years, and I can't imagine ever going to a different practice. I've had appointments with three of the doctors and I've met many of the dental assistants, and they're always very friendly and very knowledgeable. It always feels like they genuinely care about me! I went in last week to get my wisdom teeth extracted, and Dr. Moroi took excellent care of me. I was really nervous about being awake for the extraction (they don't do sedation), and he calmed me down and patiently talked me through every step. Also, I was supposed to get all four out, but before the procedure he showed me the x-ray of my teeth and explained to me that even though it would mean more money in his pocket if all of them were extracted, he thought I should leave the top ones alone because they were so far up and it would be more painful for me if he took them out. The only reason I'm not giving a five-star rating is because the receptionists tend to be a little sub-par. I once had a receptionist schedule a cleaning for me, and the date she told me and wrote down on the little card was different from the date she entered in the system. I ended up showing up for an appointment I didn't really have. Also, I was once told that my insurance doesn't cover cleanings (which it does!) and she tried to charge me $85 for it! After many years of going here, when it was Parsi Osorio and before that. My family and I are leaving. Receptionist loves to argue. Asked me to pay for a filing in June, which I thought was strange, I have insurance. I paid and then so did insurance. Rockingham has been holding onto $80 of my money even when I've called repeatedly to have the $80 sent to me. I go to Rockingham Dental as a dentist, not a bank. Dr. Collamore and Dr. Youniss are great, girl working the front desk today loves to tell you why you are wrong. All done. Not the only dentist around. Made an appointment in April for July at 5pm. Erica was the rudest person you could deal with. Seems like an uneducated bitter young receptionist. Told me I could cancel or be booked for November. I have my card reminder that says 7/16/19 5pm but she refused to even look into it. Lazy person, horrible customer serivce. Don't waste your time. Sound like a bunch of quacks that don't know what they are doing. Stay away!! read more

They were amazing. After seeing 2 other dentists who had struggled to perform a simple filling, and being in discomfort for over 5 months, my filling has been replaced, and I am no longer in pain. They were able to get me in quicker than most and the later hours really was convenient. I'm not dreading my next visit...which says a lot seeing as no one really likes to go to the dentist. read more

Started out as a totally cold client. I was very happy with my choice. I have spent upwards of $10,000 on my dental work. The staff is great and the billing section is unsurpassed. I have not been happy with this practice. I ended up having 2 fillings that resulted in a lot of pain afterwards. I still have pain almost a year later. Most recently, I was told that I needed some routine x rays done. I asked to be able to wait since I've had a lot of radiation exposure in the past year. They refused to even look at my teeth or do a cleaning if I declined the xrays. I felt bullied and coerced completely out of nowhere. I think they handled the whole thing very poorly. I walked out and will never return to that office, and I will be telling everyone I know to steer clear of them. read more

In my personal experience: a. The staff is friendly and professional. Receptionists could be a little friendlier, but I understand why they might not be, considering that receptionists tend to see the worst of humanity's most vulnerable (sick, broke patients getting screwed over by insurance companies) every day. b. The hygienists do a great job cleaning. c. Dr. Osorio, the prosthodontist, is a very skilled professional. I had my two front teeth broken years ago in California, and had caps placed over them after having a root canal done. Dr. Osorio saw this and explained to me how far the technology has come regarding caps. So, he offered to upgrade me. After going through the motions and receiving the teeth, I was unhappy with the shape. We sent it back to the designer, based in Epping, who took my concerns to heart. The second time around, the teeth were great looking. They fit very well and have held up pretty nicely after almost 2 years. All in all, I am satisfied with this office. read more

I started going to Rockingham dental in Exeter 2 years ago after a poor experience with my dentist in Boston. I couldn't be happier with my experience there. The hygienists are friendly and experienced. My dentist, Dr. Collamore, is knowledgable and patient to answer my many questions. The office is clean and comfortable. I have never had a problem with them accepting my insurance and am happy that my out of pocket costs have decreased since switching. I'll definitely continue to come here as long as they keep up the good work! read more

I have been a patient at this practice for almost 12 years, and not until the last two years or so have I been having issues with their office (particularly, the receptionists and office manager) . Trying to give them the benefit of a doubt, being a longtime I said to myself "Well, i really like the few hygenists i've had, and i really like Dr. Parsi and trust his knowledge, but the unprofessionalism of their office staff is really starting to not be worth it to me." My most recent cleaning, they tried charging me (my insurance pays all preventative cleanings 100%, and I have not seen them for anything else) and when I questioned them they said "Oh, well most insurances have a deductible." I asked how can they charge me for services that have not been sent to my insurance and all I got was a blank stare. (I work for a nearby medical provider, i deal with insurances everyday, so this is not new to me). Come to find out, they have not even been billing my insurance, and after giving them (again) the correct address to send claims to, they still cannot do it right and continue to bill me. Oh, and they crossed my information with another patient and sent out a bill with my info to them (total HIPPA violation there). My whole family and relatives used to be patients there, but their total lack of customer service and unprofessionalism has driven everyone away to other nearby dental offices. I agree with others below, that they do not value their patients and make little effort to retain them. I've finally just had enough and will seek a new dentist who hopefully truly values their patients. read more

I was a patient in this practice, going 4x year for eight years. Then I forgot about an appointment. I called to re-schedule and was told I would be charged for the missed visit. I felt missing one appointment after all these years should be forgiven. I told the scheduler I would not be paying for services I did not receive. I asked that the manager call me back. I never heard from the manager, and I never went back. I think they do not value their patients and make little effort to retain the ones they have. I did like Dr. Dumas, Dr Parsi, and Erin, the hygienist, but not enough to continue there. read more

Just Awesome! I broke a back molar and I was referred to them by a co-worker of mine. I am not a big fan of going to the dentist but unfortunately it is one of those things that we all have to do. They were able to get me in right away. Their staff was very friendly and the dentist had a good sense of humor. It is a very high tech office compared to my old dentist. They took a picture of my tooth and put it on the computer screen so I could see my broken tooth. The dentist gave me different options to fix my tooth and I felt very comfortable making a decision as what to do. When he gave me the shot, I did not feel a thing. I also liked that he explained everything that he was doing and joked around during the procedure to put my mind at ease. My tooth is fixed and it feels great. I would recommend them for sure and I actually look forward to going back to the dentist before I have another emergency. read more

I was a patient for 11 years. I loved Dr. Dumas, but my last four visits I was seen by four different dentists and three different hygienists. One of the dentists told me I need four crowns. The next dentist said my teeth were fine and we'd just watch. Next time in the dentist tried to schedule me for crown work again. I just wanted some consistency in my dental care. What sent me out the door and to another dentist was the last dental hygienist that cleaned my teeth. She was condescending and rude. When I asked that I only be seen by Dr. Dumas I was told it was possible to schedule my visits with one doctor. read more

I've given them the benefit of the doubt a few times now, but I have to say, avoid the office if you can. I've recently made appointments to have my wisdom teeth extracted (I've also been a regular patient for 6+ years) twice now, the first time to be told it can be done in office, the second time to be told it could be done in office in April, the third time to be told it can't be done in April, and can only be done in May, and finally told that they do not perform wisdom teeth extractions in office. Coupled with the fact that twice I had a filling replaced and could not chew on that side of my mouth for several months, added on to the fact that any appointment with Dr. Dumas should allot for 20+ minutes of monologue re: his general approach to dentistry, added to the fact that 80% of the time, when calling the Exeter office, you're greeted with a "the office is currently closed" message, regardless of whether you've called during business hours, just, save yourself the head, or should I say, toothache, and go elsewhere. read more

I made an appointment for my daughter in June for their first available appointment which was in August. They called me three times in the two days prior to change her appointment time three times!! Then they called me the day of and asked if I could come early, I said "well my appointment is in an hour" and they asked if I could be there in five minutes, really? I specifically asked about teeth bleaching as my daughter just got her braces off, the receptionist told me that they do not do teeth whitening at all but when I got there they had signs advertising their whitening specials in every room! I asked about the special but of course we didn't qualify because you have to make an appointment for it and the special would be over by the time they had an opening! My daughter had several questions which they were unable to answer. We have dental insurance and our cost was $171 (no fillings just a cleaning!). I called Aspen dental that very day, they gave me an appointment for the next week and answered all of my questions and the visit was free! Overall, they were disorganized, confused and rude- don't bother going there! read more

Yesterday I had an appointment to get an impression for a retainer. I had an appointment at 5pm. I got there at 4:55 and checked in. The girl at the front desk "checked me in" without even making eye contact. The women that cam in behind me said she was checking in for her appoint at 5:30. A man came in after the both of us and checked in. The women with the 5:30 appoint was called in first then the man that came in last. At 5:20 i went up to the desk and asked if it was going to be much longer. Once again she didn't make eye contact with me and didnt even say anything to me, instead she talked into her little walkie talkie ear piece and said that i was still waiting. 5:30 i was called in. When I got into the chair the hygienist had no idea why i was there. I can say that both the hygienist and dentist were both very nice but i ended up walking out of there at 6pm for a 5 minute teeth impression. read more
