absolutely the worst experience I've ever had here. employees were extremely disrespectful. we were accused of drinking and "wiping our x's off" they were just more faint. my boyfriend and I are sober do not drink and to be accused of that is unacceptable and after everything male employee with ponytail had something smart to say as we were leaving. maybe think twice before hiring your service staff. It's been a good decade and a half since I visited a club.....probably because I'm getting old and my joints can't handle it anymore. I used to prefer clubs over bars/lounges back then, but my old man self prefers bars/lounges over clubs now. Since this was for a friend's 40th birthday, I made an exception. We came on Friday night a few minutes before 9:00 pm and it was a crowded, smoky, young crowd and not a great place to just dance the night away. Honestly, if our group (which was a group of men in their late 30s to mid 40s) were 20 years younger looking to get drunk and laugh with friends, then this might be our spot. I moved to Odessa over a year ago and had yet to venture into the two stepping world... so, what better way to spend a Saturday night than at Rockin Rodeo! Had such a blast here! So I was just chilling out in the parking lot drinking bud light because I'm young and dumb, and some ol boy walked up to my truck and asked to sit with me because it was cold outside. I was like hell yea bro, hop in. He tried calling some people to pick him up but he was lonesome so I offered to take him to black gold in Odessa. About half way there he asked me to roll up my back window and turn my heater down. So I did. Crowded, smoky, young crowd and not a great place to just dance the night away. If I were younger and just looking to get drunk and laugh with friends, this might be my spot. If you are a dancer and looking for some 2-step partners, you will stand around a lot, get your toes stepped on when attempting to dance and go home wreaking of cigarette smoke. this place use to be The Ranch, which is a place i would never go. Now it has a new owner, who is awesome, and a great new staff! the bartenders are really good except for one who is just rude. they have concerts every thursday night and something fun going on each night! i love to go here and wouldn't go anywhere else in midland! read more

And these weren't doubles or anything but a beer and a single and the bartender told me it was $12!!!! I give Rockin' Rodeo 2 stars based on our experience there before 11 p.m. each time. If you want to dance, go early. Around 11, the very young crowd shows up, are allowed to stand in groups on the dance floor and completely impede dancing. We spoke to the owner and he stated that they are allowed to do that. There are really no signs of bouncers monitoring the behavior of the patrons. On our last visit, 7/2018, a group of kids moved our full drinks from our table while we were dancing and added our table to another. Thankfully, my date was a big, intimidating guy and when we addressed the issue, they gave our table back(but not before moving my chair so that I fell and hit my head and back hard on the cement floor). No one in any management position showed any concern about the situation. We will go dancing there again, but we will certainly take care about where we sit and will make sure to go early, get some dance time in, and leave early. read more

I visited your bar on 2/3 and ordered 2 beers and 3 bottled waters. The total on my bill was not over $16.00, but when I checked my account when I got back home- I found a $50 charge from The RR. I was waited on by a lady with black hair, purple lipstick wearing a white tank top and cross necklace. this is also the one the closed out my tab. Such a shame- great place but dishonest people behind the bar. read more
