February 2023 myself and my 3 year old and my unborn baby at the time were TBONED on Highway 96 by a SUV who ran the stoplight with no intention on stopping or even trying. My vehicle spun around and it totaled my car. He is lucky he hit my passenger door and not my daughter's door. I was left with minor injuries and spent 3 to 4 months at a chiropractors office until finally getting some relief but it was also the emotional damage it caused, My now four year old still talks about this accident and it's sad, I have PTSD from loud noises and driving in general. It took Kemp a year to settle this case with little to no communication. I ended up getting around $2000 total for my three year old and just under $4000 for myself. Years ago, I got rear ended In a very minor accident and got paid $5000 by Mike Hostilo for minor back pain with no children involved! I was pregnant, had my 3 year old in the car, at zero fault with witnesses and on camera, in alot of pain and suffering, had to wait a year and got paid less this go around! I even told Kemp what I got back from that accident and he said wow, that's way too low?? It definitely doesnt make sense to me. It was also almost impossible to reach him, and he never calls back or texts back and when he does, all he will say is he's gonna find this or that out and then call me back and of course never does! I don't believe he took my case very serious, I lost my car, was scared, hurt, depressed all while pregnant at the time and and it had a major impact on my life and my daughter's! We lost alot that day and gained a ton of fear. I am thankful we're still alive of course but, our lives haven't been the same since that wreck and fast forward a year later we just lost our new baby girl christmas night as well which was one day after we got the settlement, So, I haven't felt much like trying to handle this, I did text and call the other day but, those will Definitely go unanswered because he hardly made a attempt to reach out when he had my open case. I should've shopped around more for a divorce lawyer before wasting my money on this lawyer. They…read morewouldn't even let me meet her! It was 1 year and 8 months before I even met her. I hired her in June of 2015 and I fired her in March of 2017. It was after I finally met her and she was rude and condescending that I decided to fire her! They weren't doing anything. I changed it ONE TIME in all her lies responding to my reviews in her terrible temper, she said I changed it four times! To what?! I changed it from "Separate maintenance" to divorce in April of 2016 after I found my husband's condoms. ONE TIME NOT FOUR. The office lost papers about our debt that I gave them, they never returned my calls and kept asking for more and more money. Oh we're doing the retirement, that's more. They charged me more because my husband disputed it because they were supposed to ask for alimony and they did not even put that in the papers when they filed them! My husband would not even have had to dispute it. We were married over 30 years and he already told me I'd get half his retirement and the smaller house. When I hired my new lawyer she had to re file the paperwork. This was total dishonesty on Ms Hynes part, I also believe they thought I'd just find someone else and get a job and they were just dragging their feet waiting on me. I changed it ONE time. I was never rude to any of her staff. I even asked her husband/secretary if I was ever rude to him, he said, "No" My new lawyer got me half his retirement, the smaller house all paid for AND alimony until 2028. All that just with mediation not even having to go to court! I even reported Ms. Hynes to the Georgia Bar Association per the advice of another local lawyer, they said I could file a suit against her but I probably won't bother if she'll stop harassing me and trying to remove my reviews! I never yelled at her or anyone at her office. My new lawyer had me do a spread sheet of all the many jobs I've had, applied for and interviewed for. I did a spread sheet of my expenses (Hynes should have had me do this before accusing me of not trying hard enough- she's very proud of herself but she was as my lawyer supposed to be on my side not criticizing me and telling me I should be more like her), after all that work my new lawyer declared I'd be a great personal assistant and I would, after all that's what I was for 30 years.(A great personal assistant wife AND Mom!) I now have a successful home business; two books published and an I'm an Airbnb superhost.
