They let you take one on one time with the goats, pigs, and sheep. The highland cows are great too and they give you plenty of treats to feed the animals. Close to Falls Creek Falls, but also far enough to feel like you can disconnect and enjoy.

What a dream trip to the country!…read more Firstly - Laurie and David are amazing hosts. We so enjoyed talking to them and hearing about how they got all their sweet, friendly animals. The space we stayed in was a small apartment over the garage, and it was good for three women and a 7 month old baby. It was clean and well appointed! We got to interact with goats, pigs, mini horses, alpacas, dogs, cats, highland cows, chickens, and sheep.. it was truly magical to watch the baby interact with all the animals! They were in our backyard, and insanely quiet. I assumed the animals would be heard at all hours, but I didn't hear them once! The only downsides were there wasn't AC in our 1 bedroom apartment, just one window unit in the kitchen. I'm low maintenance except when it comes to getting too hot, so no AC in the bedroom made me nervous. Thankfully they have ceiling fans in every room so we just cranked them up and left the bedroom door open and were comfortable even in the upper 80s. Just something to note if you're sensitive to heat like I am We loved our trip so much that we're planning to come back soon! Thanks again for a wonderful stay with such gentle and sweet animals!

I highly recommend purchasing your tickets online in advance because you will save time and money that way. I believe it is more expensive if you buy tickets at the front booths. That, plus you can schedule an arrival time. Parking is free too so that's a plus! They have plenty of fun family activities to do: gem mining, barrel rides, slides, kids playground areas etc. This is definitely a great spot to bring your kids for some fun in the outdoors! I love their Cedar Glade Trail was a nice little walk for our family and we got to see all the adorable animals! They had Racoons, emu's, goats, capybaras, prairie dogs and red foxes! They also have a bunch more animals towards the front for guests to see. We loved the peacocks. The aviary is a nice spot for guests to walk around and feed the birds. They also had an area with a couple bunnies for guests to pet. There's plenty of other animals they have but it would much to long to mention them all! Almost all of the animals looked happy and had a very spacious habitat to enjoy. Well worth the $16 entrance fee! We will be back for future events!

All park attendants were efficient, kind, informed, and organized. There are two enclosures for bird watching, one is heated and the other is not. All of the pathways were wide and comfortable. They are remodeling the visitor's center which partially reopened in March 2023. They are adding new interpretive exhibits which should be cool to see! I was surprised the whole time bc it was not something I would think to care about except for taking my kids to when they little many years ago. However it was actually so enjoyable and neat to be at. It is filled with so many people clearly for a reason. I'd recommend anyone go to it even if they think it's not their type of thing. It is very cool for sure. Also, the last thing we did was hop on that little train( which I didn't care to do at all without little kids with me) yet it was a shocker how that man driving the train who shares about all things throughout the event that you get to see again from a different view on that train...he was super awesome. I actually would have ridden that train and listened to that man over and over and over again. He was fun to hear from. It is not super expensive so do not resist to do it. Gather up your group or just you and your spouse or for take your kids if they are still young. This is for sure a fun enjoyable thing to go see.
