In addition, I recently had what turned out to be a non roof related issue, regarding some water seepage. but the owner, Issac Ramirez, came out and spent over an hour helping to identify the cause of my issue and suggesting a solution that another contractor would have to fix. He provided videos and pictures so that I could properly communicate the issue. In addition, he also inspected my roof even though he had installed it a few years ago. Date: 07.16.2023 Payment: $7,200…read moreService: Replace Roof Nature of Dispute: I, owner of house, hired DAR Construction as general contractor for home renovation. DAR Construction LLC hired roofer to install new roof and was incompetent in supervision and quality control of work. I advised DAR Construction to ensure all bad wood was replaced and to make sure roof was satisfactory before final payment was made to subcontractor. They stated roof looked great and they were thoroughly satisfied. I looked at roof myself after DAR had already made payment to subcontractor, and informed them that the roof was unacceptable in multiple areas and was very disappointed. DAR Construction LLC stated the roofing contractor came back out to house to fix roof, but after I went back to review work completed the roof was still in the exact same condition as was originally after they replaced. After continually requesting needed action to take place, was told I could meet with subcontractor. Asked what time I could meet with them and was never received any response. At this time, I have no faith in DAR Construction or VIP Roofing and Remodeling LLC to replace roof in satisfactory condition. I am requesting a full refund of $7,200 given to DAR Construction for roof replacement. My request for refund of roof payment from DAR Construction is a reflection of their poor performance and management of roofing subcontractor (VIP Roofing and Remodeling LLC) under their supervision. Failure to correct issues of poor work performed: o Uneven roof structure o Dipping in multiple areas o Overall unsatisfactory quality of craftsmanship o Lack of Communication o Failure to follow through and execute requested re-work I am completely dissatisfied with the result of the poor performance and management of DAR Construction LLC and that of their business associates have exhibited. The result has left me with no other recourse. Pictures show the lack of quality for acceptance.

The scope of the project grew as the underside revealed a rotted sill plate -- lumber at the foundation of the house. And there was still some mission creep yet to come, as we learned that water had been getting behind an improperly installed window frame. But we couldn't have been happier with the outcome. We did get several bids in advance, ranging from quick patch jobs to work more extensive than we eventually carried out. Todd gave us options and we sorted out the insurance part of the equation. A big reason why we went with Greenforce was because they were both transparent and communicative from the beginning. Chris was great to work with, and the poor guy had to go to Lexington twice to get the siding we needed. This was not a small job, nor was it an easy one, but we never felt lost along the way. Most importantly, we were thrilled with the workmanship. Marcos is a maestro, and he rightfully takes a lot of pride in his work. I have the luxury of working from home, so I was able to extensively see him in action. We will definitely think of Greenforce Restoration first if and when we have another roofing or siding project.
