In addition to the main attraction of the rink/exhibition space, Mandt offers a concession stand, a small lobby, a couple private rooms, ample restrooms, and plenty of parking for the average event. On the weekends you can attend open skate October to March; $4 for adults and $3 for kids.

You can tell they take pride in the condition of all aspects from greens, to fairways, and even the parts I have to hit from! The layout is entertaining. It's not your municipal back-and-forth layout. And the holes that do run along each other - those have decent separation (woods, wild grass) and space so you're not worried about an errant shot. When we were there, the greens were tough, but fair (not overly fast, but a good read was important). Some tee shots were tight - if you aren't an accurate driver, don't be afraid to hit something a little straighter (typing this is more of a reminder to me for next time - lol). Janesville is a bit of a drive for me, but it's totally worth it for this course - especially if you can find a deal (weekdays, evenings...) BONUS to be by the airport if you enjoy seeing aircraft taking off - anything from small commuter planes to military aircraft like the osprey and apache helicopters.

Our Thanksgiving night tradition, after all the turkey, football, food & fun. We all get in the car…read more& head to Olin Park to enjoy the free Holiday Fantasy in lights. The holiday music goes on along with the parking lights through the park. Many displays are the same favorites year to year, but there is usually at least one new display. Every year, the lights are set up a little differently but still a glowing wonder to see, which we love. This year, the glowing tree on top of the hill was a new display along with two drive-through colorful tunnels. Our family favorite is the glowing Capitol light display on front of the actual Capitol glistening on Lake Monona. At the end we give a small donation & in exchange for candy canes. Sometimes, if it's not busy, we drive through again. Happy Holidays
