I'm sure it's hard to plan whether it'll be totally clear or not, but we were so glad to be able to see all seven states from Lover's Leap. It was pretty warm when we were there, and we were grateful for the small gift shop and restaurant at the top, so we could grab another water bottle and use the restroom too. Rock City is definitely touristy, but that doesn't mean it's not worth a visit. They utilize dynamic pricing, so if you're planning to visit on a weekday or in off-season, maybe wait to buy your ticket so you can save a few bucks.

There were cute restaurants, boutiques, and shops lining the streets. Everything from a bear store (literally, it had toy bears lol), to cute coffee shops and ice cream shops, to restaurants (they had everything from pizza to perogies). They also had a bunch of t-shirt shops, ladies clothing shops, to toy stores for the kiddos. Downtown, you'll also notice a train (where you can take either a 2 hour or 4 hour ride....in the nicer weather months and during higher peak times like spring break, I'd recommend purchasing your tickets online, as they sell out regularly). The downtown area is walkable, but there is a bit of a hill, so beware for those that may have mobility issues. This is def worth a trip if you're staying the area, get out stretch your legs, and shop locally. Also, be on the lookout for their free range roosters and chickens that you'll hear regularly downtown and you'll be able to figure out why the chicken did cross the road.

The dinosaur is a popular spot with tourists for photos and selfies. There is a sign in front of the dinosaur that says: Hello! My name is Stella. I am a baby Stegosaurus. My species names comes from the Greek words stego and sauros meaning "Roofed Lizard." I have 17 plates on my back I use to absorb heat fro the sun during the day to keep me warm at night. I lived during the late Jurassic period (about 150 million years ago) Although when grown I am around 9 meters (30 ft) in length, 4 meters (14ft) in height and up to nearly 5 metric tons in weight, my brain is only the size of a dog's. The stairway is a back-and-forth walkway from the landing in front of the museum down to the Martin Amphitheater underneath the bridge or continue on to the Riverwalk. Tennessee, State of…read more Tennessee is an absolutely beautiful state. I've spent many memorable times in Tennessee with my daughter, my family and my friends. I've got two cousins that live in Tennessee. It's a great state to retire. I find that the cost of living is inexpensive compared to the Northeast. I've camped out and hiked in Eastern Tennessee. There's still cities I want to visit. Maybe next lifetime. If you like to travel I recommend you plan a trip touring the parks and historic places in Tennessee. Just be safe up in the mountains!!
