It sells trendy women's clothing and accessories, drawing inspiration from streetwear, pop culture, and runway trends. The brand became trendy on TikTok, and this retail store is fairly new as their sales all used to be online. I noticed a buzz and a lot of people shopping here even on a Thursday morning. The decor is fun and has neon and a lot of pinks; you walk under a giant heart cut out when you go through the front door. Prices seem pretty reasonable. It has a bit of a Forever 21 store (RIP) vibe. Their prices are quite reasonable. Many items are up to 80% off what you would pay for great clothes and bags. They also have some nice art now and again it is all fairly priced. This is not a Salvation Army type store, yes, all items are used, but all are designer or something you may have seen in a store. They do not have a huge vintage section and that is fine. It has just really nice things that I would end up paying a lot more for new. The service is great. The staff is nice and knows what is in the store and where. They sold a pair for $17.50! I requested that they send me a check, they charged me a $12.50 fee to send a check. My net amount received for the sale of my shoes was $5.00, outrageous! And if you're expecting the employees to ask you "come here often?" before motioning the barkeep to bring you another of whatever you're having, then still, NO. Or maybe yes. Just not with me. Pffft. The clothes are definitely fun and flirty, though -- if you wear them. Flirt is the typical Melrose kitsch store -- one-offs and private labels abound. Not too many jean choices (mostly charcoal gray), and not that many T-shirts, but the ones they have will have you going gaga, lady. What's a boy like me doing reviewing an exclusively girl's store? Well, I have no intention of wearing that off-the-shoulder blouse or sundress (hmm... with the right belt and handbag, I -- nevermind), but the store is definitely a pleasant place, even if you're just waiting on girls to finish trying things on. You can stand there awkwardly listening to the early 1990s era boombox that's pumping out KISS FM all day (Lil Wayne seems determined to make me his fan), or check yourself out in the mirrors on the wall. Flirt Clothing does lose one star because they forgot to remove a security tag on a $240 hobo bag. Now I'm going to have to come back tomorrow -- with receipt -- to have them remove it because SOMEBODY'S too busy (*cough* gainfully employed) to do so herself. I'm going to play like it's mine. I bought a beautiful purple scarf with brown leopard spots on it the other day. The material was like that of a soft sweater. It was only $19.00. I could've gotten a better deal on it if I bargained with the lady there, but I didn't since the price was already low. Also, she was nice and showed me how to tie it since I wasn't sure how to wear it. I always leave scarves untied up until now. She showed me and it was easier than it I thought it would be. I really appreciated that. Also, it was great that she could actually break a $100.00 bill. Some places can't. If you're not familair with the area, you might not know that due to lots of competition, sometimes the shop owner or manager will give you a discount on clothes and other items if you ask them for one. Sometimes they are so eager to sell, they just offer you a good deal. I didn't want to appear cheap though, so I didn't bother asking. It was also nice that she didn't bug me or follow me around like a lot of the shop employees tend to do sometimes. This is a great place and I'll come back here next time I'm in LA.

Felt like I was in the scene in Pretty Woman! Unfriendly staff. Needed to have some retail therapy/ been working a lot and coming down from a successful achievement. I also wanted some summer pieces. Was being helped by a young woman named Ariel- had a few outfits sent to fitting room- only got one item. Lady the register was cold and dismissive. Seems like the manager- and if so she sucks! Was ready to buy myself a few things for my birthday next month- left empty handed and with a bad experience at reformation. Sucks. They won't have my money again. Honestly felt like they were racial profiling because the white customers got perfect service. SHAME on you! Spend your money elsewhere.
