The roads are horrible and that says something because I live in Kansas City. Public area curbs and grass are unkept and so many of the homes look awful. It seems the cities putting their interests out at the gateway area and ignoring the rest of the town. I won't be back unless there's a death in the family.

I've contacted or tried to contact city council for a few years. I was ignored. It took emailing their boss. Problem is yes he did respond but did nothing at all. I told them they shouldn't have tourists come into the town because it's in absolute disarray. Most of Beloit hates Beloit. There's a constant move out in shift. People that grew up here leave to up north. And new people move in. The people that love the town are either apart of the inner circle or they're too naive to understand how much the town sucks. I have tried for years to make a positive impact. I started a podcast to give the people a voice, interviewing anyone that reaches out. I started Sunday night live for the same reason but to have live discussions. And I invited people of Beloit to work out with me. Along with many ideas I've given. I've tried very hard to wake Beloit up to the fact it has amazing people that need to be head. But the city doesn't care at all. They even said in a council meeting they don't have to tell anyone anything if they don't want too. I'm not sure how anyone can hear any of this and still be behind it. And those in the inner circle are that of whining babies. Extremely negative and show hatred towards those trying to help. I will never give up trying to wake the city up

It is a big space that is full of activity. I've used their scanner/copier, quiet study room, cafe, research books, and the ongoing book/dvd/cd sale. I've donated blood and taken in a concert too. The staff takes great pride in this gem of a library. Their attention to detail make this a very enjoyable place to spend your time.

I mean I come from a big city and some of our smaller libraries seemed lacking compared to BPL. I mean damn they even have a newsletter that goes out like clock work every month (which I still receive). The building it beautiful and there are benches outside in which you can take your latest read (once you check it out of course). The staff is friendly and if you couldn't find what you wanted there they had a great lending system with other libraries. Their selection of books was current and up to date, and loved loved loved their selection of movies. As a college student on a budget borrowing movies from the library was a great way to conserve cash.

This time a check was misappropriated from the mail, altered, then cashed. Officer came into the lobby quickly. We met in a room. He took all the information, gave me a card and a case number. They said report would be filed within five days. He also suggested further action to assure completeness. But wait! Received a call within hours after leaving that both reports would avlbl yet today! Amazing. Very kind. Superb help. Explained everything. Can't say enough about what all they did today. The Roscoe Post Office is a local fixture. If you have any choice, this is the Post Office to come…read moreto. Everyone is helpful and goes out of their way to get you the service that you need in the best way possible. Staff are always friendly, even if the lines are long, like around Christmas. If issues arise with unusual services, they will track them down and pursue resolution. They make themselves accountable, which doesn't happen anymore. The staff will even remember you, a nice, small town touch. But -- much of what is done in this Post Office is done exceptionally well. Staff go above their duties and job descriptions to provide superlative service that feels personal. Much appreciated. Thank you.
