Mountain View Veterinary saved our dog - twice. Dr…read more Blanchard reassured us about the big cyst on Arrow's elbow (no need to operate ;-) She focused on Arrow's hemorrhagic gastroenteritis (bloody guts), even though she didn't have symptoms when we brought her in. Good thing, because Arrow got sick again the next night - and Dr. Blanchard had prepared us to do what we could for her at home. Mt. View also squeezed our dog in that very morning, treated her with urgent care, and we were able to take her home in a few hours. They called to follow up and make sure Arrow was improving, were available on call, and provided more supplies as soon as we needed them. And this was all during the Xmas-New year holiday week! We really appreciated expert consultations from Dr. Blanchard in person, and from highly skilled vet tech Monica. Thank you to the wonderful vets and techs at Mt. View. We will be back! (In contrast, a different vet in town handed off Arrow's checkout to an inexperienced vet tech who could not answer questions and gave us wrong information. And they charged a LOT more $$$ than Mt. View.)

They said they'd put it in their donations fund for others. All because they wouldn't work with us on a payment plan for the rest. The donation made was500 dollars! And if they have a so called donation fund for others WHy wouldn't they offer assistance to us a little. We could've gotten the rest needed. So I told them to send the donation to another vet willing to work with us. They said no . That they'd keep the money because it was. An anonymous donor. Little did they know I'm the one who'd posted for help with my dogs procedure on fb and I would posy to find that generous donor to let them know to retrieve there kind hearted offer to my little Smokey dog. I told the mountain view people I DIDNT WANT THE REFUND FOR MYSELF BUT TO TRANSFER IT TO ANOTHER VET SINCE THEY TOOK THE DONORS PAYMENT ANYWay and it was for my dog! Not a strangers! They lied and tried to say they wouldn't be giving me money to me. I ASKED IF THE DR WAS REMEDIAL AT UNDERSTANDING I NEVER ONCE ASKED FOR THE MONEY TO BE GIVEN TO ME! LYING B*****! I ASKED IT TO BE TRANFERED TO ANOTHER VET! THEY ARE CROOKS, LIARS AND DONT CARE ABOUT ANY ANIMALS MEDICAL PROBLEMS ONLY THE MONEY! THEY SUPPOSEDLY CHECKED MY SMOKEY OUT THERE, THEY TOTALLY MISSED HIS HERNIA AND A GROWTH ON HIS LITTLE NECK AREA! BAD TO TAKE YOUR PETS THERE. NEVER AGAIN!

By far the most professional, organized, communicative business I have come across…read more I am on the loss of words for how tailored and organized this veterinary hospital has been. From the time we were informed our dog needed bone surgery for a break due to an accident. It has been 10 out of 10 with the entire process. There are very few hospitals that provide surgical treatments, especially for the type of break that our chocolate lab had. I have never felt so overwhelmed with the level of professionalism that they provided from scheduling the surgery for the very next morning to the constant text received from them in regards to her progress and vitals and condition. Believe it or not, they even told me whether she had urinated or gone number two so that I can be aware of that when I take her home. The check-in process was amazing, fully disclosing every option that I had, including the low and high of what the surgery might cost and involve including treatments and outpatient options. Upon checking her out, we received a tailored booklet for our dog and the treatment that we should provide along with the follow up visits at the intervals with dates already pre-determined at two weeks/4 weeks/8 weeks. They had prepared her pain, medicine and antibiotics with labels along with supplements that we opted for her to have. I can't say enough, except for feeling so grateful and overwhelmed as to the level of treatment they had for our dog as they practically treated her better than a regular hospital patient four regular humans like us! While they are one of the few hospitals in the state that can perform these types of surgeries, I never felt like they were monopolizing or capitalizing on this special opportunity. If you are looking for an animal hospital or animal surgery center that is going to take care of your animal or pet with the upmost respect, love and care that you can trust blindly I would absolutely recommend this location as you will most likely have the same experience that I just went through. God bless these people and the special care that we place in them and what they do with that trust.

( arent they vets its basic math to figure out how much to give her right?) and they told me she was dehydrated why not offer me a way to try to get her to drink? nope they would just come back after whispering about us in the hall about us  to see if my husband made it back to pay them. they werent going to do anything to help her. or even start without the deposit. so i was stuck there for hours i couldnt think about anything except how she was suffering. i managed to get up another 100 while i was sitting there. i figured that would pay for that days visit and maybe just maybe theyd have the heart to start. but that was just wishful thinking. i honestly believe that if my husband didnt show up when he did. they were getting ready to take the money i had and kick me out with my dog. but he came back and after theyre little meeting they came out with this great plan for us and that would cost 200 inuding the visit that day. theyre plan was to give her something for the dehydration and some meals and 1 med and see if she gets better and once we could cone up with more money we could go back. mind u that when my husband got back he broke down he walked in the room and said our poor baby was already drooling. and they were going to send her home with us. i couldnt believe it send her home to continue to suffer. and all we wanted was for them to start on her and let me run to pull out  a loan or something to get up the money we needed. like i said all i could think was how much she was suffering.my husband had the car full of his tools we were going pawn as well. we were ready to do anything to get her better. but they werent going to do anything without their money. they sat outside the door whispering about us. my poor baby she was all of 2 and a half pounds. i dont know why they treated us this way. my husband and i both work and were literally ready to pay whatever it was going to cost for her to get better. i dont understand why they couldnt just take the payment for that day and start doing the rest of whatever needed to be done while my husband and i ran to the pawn shop and a loan place really quick. that was to much to ask they acted as though we were just gonna skip out on the bill and leave her there. are u serious?? so we had no other choice but to have her put down. this little girl was our world she was our furry child...my poor little innocent baby. i feel like they killed her. so tell me how anything that they say on their bullshit ass website is true. its not. this is whats true. on march 9th they killed my babygirl.   if i could give a neg rating i would

I'm sad to leave the review that I am: I started with them when I got my puppy. I paid for the…read morepuppy package, and was very happy with the care we received. We just went in for his first year's vaccinations, which aren't a part of the puppy package, of course, since he's over a year. I was offered to buy the vaccination package, which will supposedly include all of the vaccinations for my dog for his life. I was happy to participate in their new program because I'd had such great experiences for the first year. When we went to check out, they charged me for the vaccination package *and* today's vaccination fee. Apparently, if one buys the package, it doesn't count for the current year, or maybe only if your appointment is on the same day as when you buy the package - which is presumably the majority of the people to whom they market the package: those who are getting vaccinations. When I asked for clarification, I was told the charge was correct. I cannot fathom how buying a package which pays for the dog's vaccinations *does not include the dog's vaccination fees*. It's pure dishonest marketing, at the very least. They're already expensive, but if the business practices are honest, and the quality is good, I'm happy to pay a little extra... but if they're not honest? I'll have to take my dogs somewhere else from now on.

Did not consent to an exam when I took them in for vaccines. Was told "we always do that" Doctor combined an exam with the vaccine...200 bucks later. They fixed my two cats and told me they were "fully vaccinated" but were in fact not. The doctor sanctimoniously tells me it was "in the paperwork" but was NOT part of the verbal out-brief and was only one one of the cats paperwork. They want me to come in for a 3rd round of vaccines and said "it would be taken care of" but then find it will only be "discounted". They MIGHT be competent medical professionals but Alta as a business operation is far from professional and operates like a greasy used car lot. The hospital has a feel of bait and switch. My comment on how expensive it was, was responded to by the staff saying, "you can't put a price on love". What BS. Emotional blackmail apparently is the go-to here when you find out the prices. Since I'd never kenneled Daisy, she was never vaccinated for kennel cough. The staff said, "no problem! Who is your vet?" And took Daisy to my vet for the required shot. Their service enabled the whole family to leave on time without me having to make the arrangements. The kennel is very clean and the staff were fantastic. They greeted Daisy and we're kind and gentle with her. Upon pick up, the staff provided several photos of Daisy's activities with a detailed report of how her stay went. I was thrilled knowing Daisy was so well cared for while I was gone. I am heartbroken and furious. My 13-month-old golden retriever, Maple, was attacked during her…read morefirst overnight stay at Pocatello Pet Lodge on July 18-19, 2025. She came home with at least 13 puncture wounds across her back, ribs, and neck. No staff member informed me of the injuries, and no one even noticed they had occurred. Before this, Maple loved daycare here. But in April 2025, the facility was bought by Best Friends Pet Care, and the quality of care has drastically declined. When I dropped Maple off for her overnight stay, the staff was rude, disorganized, and admitted they didn't even have a kennel ("house") ready for her. Despite purchasing their highest-tier package and bringing her crate, they kept her in a temporary chain-link kennel the entire time. Additionally, I did not receive the 'bedtime photo' I paid for until after her stay was over. The photo, attached, shows she did not sleep in her crate, as they promised and claimed. When I discovered her wounds at home, I immediately called. The manager and staff were unaware Maple had been attacked. Based on her numerous injuries and her timid personality, this was not a single bite--it was a prolonged, unsupervised attack, possibly by multiple dogs. Staff later admitted they are severely understaffed and required by corporate policy to book at 110% capacity. Although they refunded her stay and offered to cover the vet bill, they claimed they could not identify which dog(s) harmed her. This means the aggressive dog(s) has not been banned or separated and may still be attending daycare and boarding. I will never take my dog back, and I strongly recommend you do not either. Maple survived only because of her size--if this had happened to a smaller dog, I believe it would have been fatal.
