We went to Burger Love and ordered a Wroclove Burger & KAC Burger with the large fries and soup. The server said that Burger Love makes the burgers but for other items (fries & soup) we had to go next door (at Le Chef). When we asked at Burger Love if we should just place the order at Le Chef we were told they dont do the burgers- only the sides. Confusing. So we were told to order the burgers at Burger Love then go sit next door at Le Chef and order the sides. The burgers would be brought to us. So, we ordered burgers at Burgher Love and went to Le Chef. We ordered the sides (at Le Chef) and the waitress seemed confused. She said she didnt think they had fries but would consult the kitchen if they cold make them. (So, maybe they dont do the sides?) Turns out they dont have fries but we could get the soup. So we ordered 2 soups. The soup was ok. The burgers were very tasty and huge! The meat was very good. And although we ordered both burgers well done and they came out very pink we were still happy due to the quality. When we paid (we had to pay separately at both places) I asked what the confusion was all about. Why were we sent between the 2 restaurants and why didnt the Burger Love have any sides? Apparently the places are owned by the same owner but there is a huge disconnect which left us customers confused and dispointed without half our order. To top it off, the soups we ordered at Le Chef were double the price of Burger Love. So we had to pay extra. Because this process was such a mess, I probably wont be back.

The Cheeseburger was generously stuffed with coleslaw, onion rings and bbq sauce. This burger was our favorite out of the two. We enjoyed the nice crunch from the coleslaw and the bold flavors of the BBQ sauce. The Chorizo Burger however, with avocado, nachos, chipotle pepper salsa and jalapeno did not meet our expectations. We found that the nachos absorbed all the moisture in the burger and left it quite dry and tasteless. We hope to see more salsa or avocado added in compensation for the nachos.

The steak was cooked perfectly and I had no complaints. The location is in the heart of the old town center and makes for very good people watching. The Pierogi Ukrainskie was a plate of six dumplings stuffed with cottage cheese and cabbage, topped with fried onions and a dollop of sour cream. While the original version of this pierogi is already vegetarian, this restaurant's version was made with completely vegan ingredients from the imitation cottage cheese to the butter to the garlic cream! There were a couple of international options on the menu as well, and I ordered the samosa, a fried turnover made with a mixture of spiced vegetables (potatoes, onions, peppers, carrots, tomatoes) wrapped in a flaky, crispy spiced dough. The best part of the dish were the two sauces the samosa came with: a red pepper purée and a thick garlic cream that rounded out the flavors of the spices. Along with our dishes came a selection of surowka (salads) including red cabbage with sesame seeds, sauerkraut with sun-dried tomatoes, carrots with pumpkin seeds, and green cabbage with dill. Both restaurants are fully vegan! Another reviewer said she felt uncomfortable on the ground floor. I didn't at all! The menu is not in English, but the person behind the counter spoke English well and was really helpful. And there was also pictures, which made it really easy to order. We arrived for a late dinner about 45 minutes before they closed. The restaurant is really affordable, especially for the quality and the portion sizes: we paid under 45 PLN for two huge meals with bottled waters. We tried a buckwheat cutlet (sort of like falafels made from buckwheat) with mushroom sauce, and stuffed cabbage. Both were served with our choice of salads (you can also order a la carte). The salads were excellent, and not what I expected: shredded carrots in one and pickled veggies in the other. All of the food tasted really fresh and well prepared. As their window says - animal liberation and human liberation are linked! Whether you're a vegan/vegetarian/flexitarian/omnivore who just wants to get some more fiber and vitamins, do yourself a favor and check out Vega.
