Trey and Joe do a fantastic job of maintenance! They were quick and tidy without and came upon request.

I lived here for 2 years. The rent is low (much lower than what it is in nearby apartments), so…read morethat's definitely a great plus. The apartments are incredibly clean and in good shape. The unit I was in had a nice sized kitchen, and a walk-in closet: my clothes only filled 2/3 of one side of the walk in closet! The maintenance is absolutely fantastic: if you call and complain about something being wrong they will do everything in their power to resolve the problem. My bathroom sink stopped draining (or drained very very very slowly, rather) and it required a bit of work to fix. For 2 days the maintenance workers worked on it and the sink was as good as new afterwards. The ONLY complaint I have about Bedford Square Apartments is that Tienken Road is near impossible to make a safe left turn out of, and often times I would have make a right, travel 3/4 of a mile to the roundabout to turn around. There's not much that Bedford can do about that, though!

Someone has been blasting annoying music late at night early in the morning and in the evening- so pretty much a lot of the time. And we have been smelling weed in the hallways. We heard some lady talking so loud last night so we looked in the hallway through the peep hole and she was in the hall and was blabbing so loud on the phone saying nasty things, and she had a joint in her hand. This place is becoming trash, management is aware and is doing nothing about it. We are looking for a better place and then we are out.

My wife and I have been renting for 18 years and we have stayed in luxury apartments before. This is not luxury. Our windows leak cold and warm air they have mold in areas but all they do is cover it up. They have spider issues bad we kill spiders daily. They don't cover insect control. Thus the problem. Ounce this last lease is up in April we are moving back south. I don't recommend this location. For anyone

Nice location, generally responsive to maintenance requests. However, I can't recommend living here…read moreas we are regularly out of power. We have lost an entire fridge full of food twice this year and do not have power (or heat) as I type this. I am not implying that this is management's fault but regardless of who's fault it is, being without power this often is unacceptable, especially in winter. The apartments have all electric appliances so forget about using heat/hot water or cooking anything when it goes out. Very fun getting ready in the morning with the power flickering on and off. Additionally, there has been an animal going in and out of our attic for over a year. After unsuccessfully placing a trap, maintenance told us that the buildings were just old so it was expected animals would get in. Not really an acceptable answer to me at $1850 per month for a 1 bed/1.5 bath apartment. My grandparents are moving to michigan and they were thinking about moving here to be close to me but they are elderly and this place has too many problems for them. Perhaps management and DTE can work together to find a more permanent solution for the outages. Until then, I cannot recommend and I will be glad to move when my lease is up.

Things I love: -when I moved in my apartment was absolutely spotless, and I had BRAND NEW never been stepped on carpet -can't hear neighbors/quiet space to live -carports are included - garbage disposal -huge walk-in closet and huge bedroom - lots and lots and lots of closet space - unit storage is included in rent -pool area is beautiful - walking distance from just about everything -emergency room across the street -mailboxes -newly painted walls -tile bathroom walls Things I hated: -no in-unit washer/dryer. The washer and dryer was shared with the other 8 people in my building and is almost ALWAYS broken- no matter how many times they fix it, it just keeps breaking - heat broke a lot in the winter (probably from over usage in the building) - basement is kind of disgusting and moldy and probably a health code issue - garbage trucks do not come regularly a lot of the time the dumpster would overflow with 3 weeks with of trash - no overhead lighting in living room or bedroom (although makes for a small electric bill) -water pressure sucks - older utilities - no patio/outdoor personal space

I wouldn't recommend you to move in to this apartment. Like, NOT AT ALL. If I could give zero star,…read moreI totally would. Me and my husband lived here for around 18months, we started realizing that this apartment just want to take our money and don't care about tenants' living quality since new upstairs tenants moved in with thier huge dog. We love dogs, but it's a different story when the upper tenants keep throwing the heavy toys with their running dog no matter when. Literally it never stopped. Dog kept running around even during very late night (between 12am to 2am), we tried to tell them politly but they just didn't care. So we ended up letting the leasing office know this issue. According to thier policy, back then, (not sure about now) if pet owner keeps making issues with neighbors more than three times, the leasing office has to kick them out. We told the office we are having this issue, and sent emails to the manager with the video recordings attached, obviously more than three times. But nothing changed really, they even sometimes ignored our email. The leasing office ended up blaming us why didn't we call the police when they make noise. We were like, WHAT? Was that what we supposed to do it??? It was such nonsense. They told us if we do not like living with dogs, we move out. It was hilarious. Haha. I am still laughing so hard at this. So we decided to move out. Of course we had to call the police one time before we moved out since upper tenants never stopped making noises during daytime and night. The leasing office supposed to figure out this issue before we ended up calling them. Don't you think so? :)
