I was completely panicked so I called 911, but they wouldn't help and wouldn't even check to see if there was an officer in my area. so I tried calling urgent locksmith service. Again no help. Called Griffin fire department. They immediately said "yeah we can do that" and they were at my house a few minutes later. They were able to get our dog out in just a couple of minutes. We cannot thank them enough!!! You are awesome!!!

What an amazing team we have here - from the time my gas BBQ blew up in my back yard to the 3 times we had a medical emergency at the house (2 in the middle of the night, one on a quiet Sunday morning) the amazing folks of the UP Fire Department were at our house in MINUTES and very quickly put us at ease, solved the problem, showed us nothing but respect and competence - I have nothing but "5-star words" to say for the good men and women of the UP Fire Department. Despite all the ick of how this city is run otherwise, the Fire Department IMO is the true shining light of this town - without them, I'd probably move. I encountered someone from the Salkum Fire Department Monday, 1/29/18 while parking my car at…read moreHarbor Freight in Lacey, Washington. I pulled in at an awkward angle and was about to center my car in the spot when your firemen started loading things in your pick-up truck next to my car. I waited for him to finish since he was so close, and it was obvious that he was critical of the way I was parked. He returned his empty cart then walked by me and said, "Your parking isn't worth a shit." I tried to help him understand what he had just seen without much further response from him. This fellow did not seem to care about the poor impression he went out of his way to make while driving a Salkum Fire Department vehicle. I can only hope he is more polite when he is in his own community.
